I would not recommend EAL
After signing up with an EAL approved training centre and parting ways with £7,600 for a Level 3 NVQ electrical installation course only for the centre to go into administration 1 year into my course effecting not just me but over 900 other students who have also paid around the same price for the trade of their choice. Now this not being directly of fault of EAL, no support what so ever was given to myself and many other students (some of who I know personally) from EAL.
To complete the rest of my qualification, me like many other have had to transfer to other EAL approved training centres which comes at the cost of re-paying for any units not completed, Again no support was given from EAL. After completing all of my knowledge units, EAL refuse to issue out any kind of certification, again unwilling to help support student's with proof of anything qualification and deeming it near impossible to gain employment to complete my NVQ and portfolio. So after £10,000 and 3 years of nothing but hard work and stress of paying for something twice, you're left with nothing to show for it. If you are planning on spending money to better your career in a trade, I would advise going the City and Guilds route and avoiding EAL.
