Earth2’s track record so far has been nothing but disappointing.

E2V1 is clunky and riddled with bugs. Are we really supposed to believe it took them three years to produce such a sloppy excuse for a “metaverse”?

On top of that, withdrawals are only possible through Essence tokens. If I had known this from the start, I would have never invested here. I would have just bought Bitcoin instead.

At this point, it’s clear the Earth2 team neither has the ability nor the will to build a proper metaverse.

This project has left me with nothing but anger and disappointment.

Earth 2 makes grand promises, yet the actual development feels amateurish at best. From my perspective, it seems like they have little intention of delivering on what they’ve promised. Within the community, I’ve personally found it to be extremely closed-off and toxic. If you raise even slightly critical opinions about the promises that haven’t been delivered, you risk being silenced or even banned outright. The level of control and hostility makes it feel more like manipulation than genuine discussion.

What’s truly unbelievable is that you can deposit in USD, but you cannot withdraw in USD. Withdrawals are only possible in the form of ESSENCE tokens that, in my opinion, feel practically unusable. After you request a withdrawal, it can take around six months just to receive these tokens. You then have to swap them on a DEX for Ethereum, and in that process, over 10% of the value is already lost to gas fees. The fact that such a broken system is allowed to exist is absolutely mind-blowing. If this continues, I wouldn’t be surprised if frustrated users eventually consider legal action.

You clearly don’t understand what I’m saying. I already submitted a withdrawal request — a long time ago. I waited for six months, and during that time, I had an urgent financial need. The delay caused significant complications in my personal life.

When the withdrawal finally arrived, it wasn’t even in USD — I had to go through additional conversion steps, and in the process, I paid massive gas fees just to get the money I already owned.

I wasted both time and money because of this system. Why do you not disclose these withdrawal issues clearly on your platform? And if you only allow withdrawals in Essence, then you should also only accept deposits in Essence — anything else feels dishonest.

Attempting to leave a new review as the previous one was unfairly removed in my opinion.
I have a small investment in this project (only $100) but I was an active member of the community regularly checking progress. It became more and more obvious that the developer cannot achieve what was promised but that isn't the reason for my review. I was blocked from both the company Facebook page and the official community page for simply questioning why there were delays on payouts. People had been waiting months for their money. I have reached out to support through their website but not heard back. I don't even know how to access the project as I am unfairly blocked.

Everything about this is just bad. Their "game" is terrible -- no gameplay, doesn't have the promised features even years later, very poor performance. They hype every little thing no matter how mundane. They have had data breaches. Everything is incredibly expensive for no reason. Seriously, just play literally any other game out there and it will be better than whatever this is.

Has lots of potential in the future it’s so cheap to get

Earth 2 required me to set up 2FA and ever since then I cannot log in and to fix the problem they instruct you to log in. I reached out for support about two years ago. Still hasn't been resolved. I am just so sick of not being able to log in and just want to withdraw the money I have already invested

Pure scam, once u put the money you're not going to see them again. I've tried to withdraw and there is a "withdraw to card" button but there is no way to set your credit card for it, nonetheless they charged a $2 fee for the transaction, but i'll never receive anything since there is no card set in my account.
I wrote to the assistance, receiving back a dafault copy paste message, then they disappreaed.

Can't log in anymore.

I was recently reminded about Earth 2 and that I remember having some money placed in there, I wanted to see how the account was doing.
When logging in, the 2 Factor system seems to go to do something then stops, effectively doing nothing from that page. I tried to reset my password and it said it would send an email to my account, no email arrived.

Not sure what to do, but reading all these reviews, it seems suspicious.

If Earth 2 staff read this, please help me to unlock my account, and assist me with my log on.

You can not withdraw the money you invested.
The 1st of April it will be more than 5 months that I've made my payement request and still nothing arrived.

I asked them to find another solution to transfer the money and they say the only way is going for crypto, yet they still accept people investing money (indeed, without telling them that they won't be able to withdraw in cash).

They say that they have been struggling with those "regulatory" issues for more than 10 months (from what I saw).
The current truth is that if you manage to make money you won't be able to get it out in cash.

They offer you to use their "trial withdrawal" to get your money in a crypto, which is very different from getting it in cash.

This means that your backlogged E$ withdrawal can be converted to Essence, based on the external trading price of Essence at the time that YOU choose to finalise the transaction. To convert your E$ withdrawal to Essence, which is now an official ERC-20 utility token on the Ethereum blockchain, simply visit your Earth 2 Settings page where you will see the option to convert.

Please note that this option to convert your existing E$ to Essence will be available for 5 days from the time your withdrawal becomes eligible in the queue. During these 5 days, you are in control of when you wish to execute the transaction and once you do so, you will have ownership of the Essence on the platform and may utilise it for anything such as Mentar Staking, building Cydroids, crafting Jewels, Essence withdrawals, and so forth (more details below). After the 5 days, the option to convert your backlogged E$ withdrawal to Essence will be deactivated and you may need to wait for this option to become available again when the account team cycles through a second time, or if we finalise a solution for the fiat system.

You will also not be charged for using the option to transact your $E withdrawal into Essence during the trial period. (...)"

- My response : "Hello,
I do not want the "trial withdrawal system ESS" to be used for withdrawing my funds. I have no interest in crypto. I expect a standard withdrawal to my card in USD, as has been done previously, and ask several times.

I submitted my withdrawal request in early November, and it is unacceptable that it still hasn’t been processed. This delay is entirely unreasonable.

Moreover, it's very strange that you can still receive money but you are unable to give it back.
I insist on finding a solution for you to transfer my funds in USD without further delay.

Earth2's final answer : " I see you have declined the trial withdrawal option we offer, therefore, your withdrawal request will remain backlogged until we have developed a viable solution to support fiat withdrawals again, which Earth 2 is committed to doing."

So nothing changes and they say they don’t know when the cash withdrawal will be back. They obviously have no problem receiving money in cash however 🤡.

Been waiting for my money for 2months now, I can’t get in touch with support either, it won’t allow me to login to support.

I tried to get a transfer from earth 2 till my account. Been waiting 2 months now for the money and still nothing is happening.

Seems like a big scam :(

Dear Earth2 Team,

I was one of the early supporters of Earth2, investing in the platform just weeks after its launch. At the time, it was presented as an investment opportunity, and it took only seconds for you to accept my money. Yet, nearly a year later, I am still unable to withdraw my fair share.

This isn’t an isolated issue. Over the past two years, numerous promises have been made, but little to nothing has come to fruition. Meanwhile, it seems the CEO has had the time and resources to travel the world using the funds we, the investors, put into this project. If those resources had been directed toward actual development, perhaps we wouldn’t be in this position.

One thing is certain—no one gets away with anything forever. I expect my money to be returned promptly. Please process my withdrawal request as soon as possible.

Earth 2 has taken the liberty to withhold the players funds. They falsely claim the withdrawals needs months of verifications and that they are somehow prevented by the government to return dollars to the players. Somehow that government still allows you to transfer your money to Earth 2, but does not allow Earth to transfer your money back to you.

As long as my review is up, this acts as my testimony as how Earth 2 is holding my own dollars. (Which I got from selling my purchased properties with a big loss.). Shane wants to keep your dollars in his bank account for as long as possible!

Update 7 March 2025: I finally successfully withdrew my funds into fiat, arriving on my revolut on 7 March. From my original fiat amount of 1301$, after converting fiat to essence, essence to ETH, then selling the ETH via Binance P2P to my revolut, I ended up with 1212 USD. So it's not ideal, but I have to inform Earth 2 is not a scam, they do in a way honor what was promised, but it can be done more timely and more cost-efficient. My 1 star now changed to 4 stars, as I am one of the few ones that got out with a profit, and when comparing this project to Earthium for example, where the owner Frederik Dembak just turned off the website and withheld players funds, Earth 2 did not turn out to be a scam for me.

I really like this project; I've been following it for a long time.
If at one point it might have seemed like they were simply looking for new ways to get clients to invest money, over time it seems that their ideas are truly coming to life.
I love the resource-gathering system, the cydroid system, and the civilians... You can tell there's a qualified team experienced in this type of game behind it.
I’m sorry to read comments calling this a scam, as they could harm a project like this.
The issue, as far as I can tell, is a lack of patience to understand how this game works, how essence functions, and how to connect a simple wallet.
Referring to it as "something called a wallet" shows that there hasn’t even been an attempt to look deeper into the matter.
For those reading this, I can assure you that this is not a scam. Like any business, there’s always the possibility that the project might not succeed in the future.
However, at the moment, everything is working properly, and by withdrawing to a Metamask wallet, you can easily link it to a virtual credit card to make purchases.
(Personally, I bought a pair of shoes using only the essence I had saved up).
I'm really curious about what awaits us in the coming months.

Total scam. They took my money quickly enough but when I had made profit and tried to withdraw, they put me on hold for 6 months. Today I got some nonsense email about a change in regulations and my mo ey was now something called "essence" and something about a "meta wallet"? A load of rubbish, basically saying that I'm not getting any money. Avoid at all costs, it's not an investment, it's a scam.

Great concept. Can't wait to see E2V1!

Seriously poor customer service.

Withdrawals do not process and they blame changes in regulations.

They ignore emails about this. When it is discussed in forums they censor comments.

I cannot recommend and would think long and hard about putting money into this because now for more than two months many people have not been able to get their money out.

Funnily enough payments in are processed no problem.

I have been involved with Earth 2 for well over 2 years and I am excited by it's progress and where it is heading. Full trust in the developers as we know this is a long term project. For those that are whinging about not getting payments, you all have been advised this is due to banking regulations which E2 is finding solutions for.
