I took our dog to The Woodley Vet (Easipetcare) Woodley with sickness and diarrhoea. The vet saw him in the morning, and gave him an injection and some medication to take home. By that afternoon... See more

refused to see my cat
My cat was ill and did not know why. I had an appointment for a few days time but my cat got considerably worse. I rang and in over 30 mins constant ringing no one answered the phone. They advise to go down in an emergency so I did. The waiting room was empty so I do not know why they did not answer the phone. They then refused to see my cat. I ended up at an emergency vet who was fantastic and diagnosed a bite from another cat as the issue. I will never go back to Easipet again.

My dog had his surgery all went well had to go back to vets just over a week later on a Saturday just after midday when my dog had a panic attack and was told would have to take him to emergency vet in Reading. Dogs are not just ill Monday to Friday or Saturday morning. A idea to have emergency vet on call at our local vets and not have to drive another 30min when your pet is under detress.

Beware £41 consultation fee
Don't be fooled by their website claim of 'no hidden charges'. It is made very difficult not to pay a £41 consultancy fee. There is no mention of this fee on their website or when making bookings and they won't refund it.
Update: Trading standards were very interested and have a number of cases open against easipetcare. Although what they are doing is 'legal', it is not ethical and is 'sharp-ish' practise.
Avoid, or at least be aware that it is not a transparent proposition.

Your pets are not safe here - they cut the wrong tube!
Took my Frenchie in for a simple castration. A very strange swelling came up and we were advised by easipetcare to go home with antibiotics and leave him for a few days. So glad we didn't listen to them and took our boy to the emergency vets that night. A week of hell and trauma, 4 emergency surgeries and £8000 later, it turned out they had cut his urethra and his body was filling with urine! If we had taken Easipetcare's advice then he would be dead. Both our boys are now with a different vets and will never set foot in this place again. We did EVENTUALLY get our money back (but they refused to pay us back for the original castration - what a cheek!)
Worst Veterinary Company I’ve experienced
omg…..where do I start!!
I’ve been trying for days by phone to try and arrange an appointment for my dog to be neutered, (being a responsible owner!)
What a joke, recorded message then when it gets to a continuous ringing tone, (which as other reviewers have also said can be over an hour+) someone goes to answer then cuts you off, worst vets ever 🤬
I also smell a 🐀 with this company?? Seems dodgy somewhere.
Anyway I did TRY and get my dog neutered here, but I’ve given up and will register somewhere else, where they DO answer the phone, and where they do encourage responsible dog ownership, especially with regards to neutering!!

The worst vets I have ever gone to and…
The worst Vet’s I have ever gone to, my dog would still be alive if it wasn’t for them absolutely clueless vet.
Please don’t use this Vet’s, I took my dog to them on Friday and they didn’t care one single bit, my dog was poorly and was not checked over and out within 5 minute consultation, we was told to go home and wait for a call.
No call back from the Vet 5 days later, you have to chase and chase them.
The biggest mistake I have made was to take my dog to this place, the Vet can not speak English so is unable to explain anything correctly about your pet, the place is horrendous.
absolutely no care at all and for my dog to die 2 days later after seeing her.
The place needs trained vets as they do not have a clue and just take your money.
I am now left heart broken after speaking to other vets what should of been done to save my dog if I had gone to a actual trained Vet.
Please please don’t take your precious animals to this awful place.
I am taking things further and reported this Vet.
My little dog has died because I went to this Vet, thinking these places save animals they let them die and take your money
Tried to convince me to buy into a £7k…
Tried to convince me to buy into a £7k procedure for my 10year old Akita. She had ACL damage and at the drop of a hat, they knocked her out under full general anaesthetic! This should never have happened due to her size and age!
Rang me several times immediately after to attempt to sell me into surgery for the following day! The vet told me to let her rest first before doing anything, but then they called almost as soon as I left changing that completely!!! I will never use these again! Oh and if I bump into the dodgy vet who knocked my dog out, I will take the same action that they did, treating them as they treated my dog!
DO NOT USE!!!
The worst vets I have ever experienced
The worst vets I have ever experienced. They completely mis-diagnosed our cat who within three-weeks of the first visit to Easipetcare Reading (Woodley) was sadly put down by another vet. As animal lovers you expext a level of care from the people who are supposed to know about saving animals.....Avoid this practice if you want your pet to live. I have reported them to the RVCS as they are not interested. As a note I moved our cat to another vet, spent another £1k and they tried everything to save him, shame I can't say the same about Easipetcare. Shame on you......
unable to make contact
Have used this practise for years but have spent 3 days trying to get through on the phone have been waiting on line for hours , just want to make an appointment for vaccinations, thank goodness it’s not an emergency. I will take my custom elsewhere 😡
Avoid like the plague!!!!!
Worst vets ever.. old, tired, shabby vets, rude receptionists who never answer the phone, tried to overcharge, took samples from my dog to test and never heard from them again.
Ended up going to medivet Wokingham and thank God I did!!
I have been ringing non stop for 6 days…
I have been ringing non stop for 6 days two of those calls wete over an hour I decided to email but have received no response from that either how is anyone supposed to make an appointment they send a generated email advising of things needed does anyone know how to get an appointment?

It is impossible to even make an appointment I have been ringing all day just for a booster and sent an e mail.
I know I was upset when getting my dogs records previously for an insurance claim the vet had put the unbelievable comment I had obstructed her from doing a procedure and she had to take my dog into another room this was completely untrue in fact I used to be a vets assistance at another practice and worked at dog rescue some years ago so I would never do this. I couldn’t understand why this vet wrote this on my dogs record.
She was always extremely abrasive to me I put this down to cultural differences of Brits and Eastern European’s but after reading the other reviews I am going to find another vet.
Woodley "easipetcare" - The "FAWLTY TOWERS" OF VET PRACTICE.
"easipetcare", Woodley, Reading branch. The "Fawlty Towers" of Veterinary practices. You get the full Basil experience!! Be assured, it might make you laugh to watch on TV, but it is tears of exasperated fury that will be in your eyes when you visit this branch of so called "easipetcare."
Our cat has been quite seriously unwell recently and
experience in contacting the practice has now taught us that as a matter of "policy" they do NOT answer the phone. This cannot be right, you say. Well, on the first occasion we rang seconds after their 8.00am "opening" time. A full hour later I was still listening to a message about "high volume of calls". I gave my phone to my partner and we drove the 15 miles to the surgery and just as we drove into the car park - they answered the phone!! Today, 8th October, I urgently needed to make an appointment as our cat had been bringing up blood. At exactly 8.00am I rang the practice number simultaneously from both a landline and mobile phone. Got through on both lines and immediately there was a recorded message saying that they were receiving a high volume of calls! As before, cat in the carrier and off to Woodley. Mobile was left switched on but remained unanswered.......... The female person (I cannot call her a "lady") behind reception told me that there was no appointments available and to come back at 4.00PM. When I explained that if they had answered the phone it would have saved us a 30 mile round trip and I raised my voice to ensure that I shared my exasperation with the (very few) people in the waiting room, the situation was handled with great aplomb. Within seconds, a person that I believe was a practice nurse appeared and disappeared with the pet carrier and we were ushered into a side room. She did return, took notes and we were seen by a vet and the cat symptoms were discussed and appropriate advice was given and medication prescribed. To be clear, I was satisfied with the vet care that was provided.
However, the "front of house" experience is appalling and the general organisation is abysmal. You are treated with contempt. On previous visits we were, for example, told to wait for an hour because there was a problem with the "rota" as no vet had turned up. E-mails go unanswered. The list goes on.
As I left the surgery this morning, I asked for the Head Office address. The "lady" behind the screen said it was not available to her. I asked for her name and she would not give it. I advised the customers in the waiting room that I considered this to be the worst Veterinery Practice in Reading. This did spur the "Receptionist" into action, with great calmness (Basil would truly have been proud of her) she came from behind her screen, opened the door and asked me to leave. easipetcare Woodley - for the full "Basil" experience!!
On a positive note, we would generally praise the Vet care our cat received and when you do eventually see a vet, they seem very competent and caring. Evidently they have Vet vacancies and are not fully staffed so there can be a delay in getting appointments - clearly not answering the phone is one way of coping.
Now, you may believe this account to be a little "over the top" but there are other reviewers making virtually IDENTICAL comments. But please, make yourself a pot of tea, have a book to read (War and Peace would be suitable) check out the "easipetcare" Website for the Woodley branch, get the phone number and give them a ring.................and whilst you are waiting for them to pick up, have a nice cuppa and read your book.
"easipetcare Woodley, it ain't easy, it's disorganised, and although it may be less expensive than other Vet practices, you still do not get the service that you pay for!
Bizzare, Inefficient, Disorganised, Clueless and really laughably pathetic
Well, I hadn't read this before and thankfully I have a puppy and I haven't used them for an older, or really poorly pet thank goodness.
My experience since I joined in May has mostly been questionable! I have tried on numerous occasions to get them on the phone, it is impossible, and have mostly had to go in to make an appointment or you really have to wait forever.
My little boy had his neutering op and you complete a long-form and tick boxes for anything extra you want to be done. one of the vets had previously started to clip is nails (about 3 of them!), but he is a squirmer, so I said may as well do it under anesthetic! I duly ticked the box, it wasn't done!!!! I made an appointment to have them clipped and the vet said do you mind if I take him next door for my colleague to hold, I said fine. She came back just a few minutes later and said they weren't too bad. I paid my £5.50 and left. Later in the day when he was on my lap, I still felt his nails and on inspection, they looked as if they hadn't been touched. You could even see the three that the vet had cut about 2 weeks prior!
Then yesterday I really needed to cancel his kennel cough vaccine as I am a carer for a 93-year-old and it was going to be very hard for me to make the appointment! I telephoned early in the morning, it rang for 20 minutes. I telephoned late morning it rang for 25 minutes, I finally rang at 3.15 pm and thought I must get through now! I let it ring until 5.05 pm it was ringing for all of the 1 hour and 50 minutes. The same old message, then it starts ringing and then it clicks back to the message them sometimes another message over and over and over!!!!!
So I thought ok I'll have to work it out! I got up at 5.30am to get everything done that I had to, rushed around all morning, my appointment was 12.20 pm, I arrived in the car park at 12.25, I was in the vets at 12.26pm, there were two receptionists on the phone, not hurrying or seeming talking anything particular! I stood there, and stood there and stood there! At 12 32pm when I finally gave my name she said 'you are ver late!!!!!' I stayed very calm and said well I have been stood here while you were on the phone and I did try to phone you yesterday and you kept me waiting for 1 hour and 50 minutes and still didn't answer, so 5 minutes is not so bad is it????
I waited a little while and was then called in to get verbally attacked by the vet about being late and how she was going to do me a favour!!!! By this time I had had enough, I took my mask of and spoke loudly about my experience etc. to which I got more lecturing and was told to be nice or she wouldn't treat my pet. She spent the next five minutes on top of the previous 5 minutes telling me how awful I was being and I shouldn't be late and she really didn't have to treat me!! I said you have wasted at least 15 minutes with a lecture, how did that make sense? at which she slammed her pen and the vaccine down and said I will not treat you, you were not nice to me!!!!!! I said I had spent 3 hours in total yesterday, 40 minutes driving there today and I wasn't moving until I was given what I came for! She then proceeded to have further tantrums and discussing with the practice manager, who also then gave me a lecture and when, I asked to speak I was told I couldn't say anything! When the previous vet still insisted on not doing her job, the practice manager said if you would like to come with me I will give you the vaccination. She did and I left! It was totally bizarre, I have no words really. I am only glad to say that it wasn't necessarily the treatment that my little boy had and am sorry to hear all the sad and awful stories where this has been the case.
There may be something very fishy with this company! When you do a company search it throws up all sorts of funny things!!! In fact, Easipetcare Ltd which has the same Bristol address is a dormant company but on their website, it is the vat registered office address! The other company mentioned on the website Independent Vetcare Ltd is showing a loss of £164,713 for 2019. With losses all along from 2017. But easipetcare Head Office (Listed only) is in Leamington Spa!!! Its all a bit funny and glad to say I will be taking my little pooch somewhere else for his lifetime!
I have a beloved sweetheart Staff…
I have a beloved sweetheart Staff rescued from Battersea Windsor 6 years ago, unfortunately I cannot believe the treatment and lies encountered here at this practice. I Booked a ultrasound early 1st week in September for the 14th for a serious potential prostrate problem, he had had a previous vet who confirmed prostate problems etc but had quoted a very high price, hence booking Easipets. I phoned on 14th this Tuesday before the appointment to ask if I needed any Covid secure procedures ie madk, and how many etc I was assured just come in with mask, 20 mins later we got a call saying sorry the ultrasound machine wasn't working, I asked because I believed them when would it be up an running, she said oh maybe 1-2 weeks we'll call you???? She suggested loads of other tests in the meantime £££££. Really? What vet practice would not get the equipment fixed immediately £££££. I smelt a rat. I had a friend ring them up a few hours later on the pretence her dog need an ultrasound and they confirmed ultrasound and x-ray were fine! I phoned them straight away to let them know how hurt I was that they actually lied to me. All they said was email a complaint. That's a terrible shame to lie I would rather they admit the reason. They don't seem to care. I've had no apology

Been paying their Petplan for over a year. During lockdown they refused to post flea and worming treatment and recently five minutes late for my cat's booster vaccine due to traffic accident and they refused to treat her. Cancelled monthly direct debit and on way home called into another vet's practice who saw her straight away and gave booster shots.

Had Excellent service today for my 2xcats. Lovely caring vet who was extremely professional and helpful. Thankyou.
Shocking .
Shocking .. reading branch you should be ashamed of yourself. Handing over 2 dogs to a women who had taken 4 years to vaccinate an animal but you never questioned it . Removing dogs from a foster carer with no explanation and then the staff just laughing at the young girl crying on the floor. Totally unprofessional and even took the foster families money for the jabs !!!!
