I attended the guitar set up course today at East Durham Guitars.

I had a fantastic day learning how to set up my guitars. Dave was very warm and welcoming. The course was informative and interactive, I got a chance to do all parts of the set up work including filing frets, changing the nut and filing the nut slots. As well as learning some new skills I was able to talk about guitars and music all day, it was brilliant.

A very good day working on my instruments under the master's tuition. Martin took us through theory and practice covering basic set up, neck relief and truss rods, fret board clean up etc. I'm very pleased with the new nut made during the day.

Dave recently did some work on my Fender Custom Shop Telecaster, and he made what was already a great guitar into my perfect tele! A genuine craftsman. I would use him again in a heartbeat, and would recommend him to friends and family without reservation.

Excellent service, very professional job and company, would highly recommend.

Had to enquire about buying a course as a present. The advice was helpful and prompt. Pleased with the experience.

Great group of guys. Set up and restrung all my guitars for me. Perfect service every time and very well priced! Great little shop too bought a couple of pre owned bits from them again cant fault the service!

Basically everything !! Martin couldn`t have been more helpful, little bit of extra work done all for a good price and delivered really quickly. Even threw in a bit of binding for free. Will use them again and recommend them to everybody.

Brilliant place and really polite and friendly staff. They serviced and repaired my acoustic and it’s like a new guitar. I’ll definitely be using them as my go-to shop in future. Highly recommend!

Called in to East Durham Guitars for some carbon neck rods which you just can’t find anywhere else. The guys were a great help and picked them up at a reasonable price. They took the time to show me some of their tonewood stock and explain their facilities. Picked up some nice back and sides for my next build and will definitely make them a regular port of call . Highly recommend them .
