Eastern landlords have your back!
Eastern landlords have saved my back so many times. They have seen me through frightening tenants and have helped my tenants too. When they don't know something, they are always Eager to learn and help your situation and will have the answers very quickly. AND Unlike other professional bodies,Easten Landlords actually learn inside the job.They are human, very polite, know who you are AND would never be rude as some foreign gentlemen wrote on here (Perhaps he was thinking of an state agency, Which these guys are not). Wonderful value for money, their events really encourage a unity between landlords. During lockdown when there was no one, Eastern landlords worked from home everyday. My heart felt thanks to the amazing team. Long may you continue.

The reviews on here are a mixed bag and it makes it look bad for ELA.
Categorically, if you are a decent private “landlord”, ie someone who rents out houses to decent people and looks after their tenants with care and consideration as most of us do , then joining the ELA is probably the best thing you can possibly do .
The people in the office are polite , very efficient and very knowledgeable and look to save money for both landlord and tenant . It is how life used to be and with the ELA still is ……very knowledgeable, friendly experts who pick up the phone promptly and always offer help and sound advice . Long live the ELA , and please do not change the way you are . Stay traditional , efficient, avoiding AI rubbish ,with a landline and with your brilliant courteous and friendly and knowledgeable way . Thanks for everything over the many years .

Worth Every Penny
The Eastern Landlords are brilliant. From the moment they pick up the phone they are polite, helpful and are able to answer all the questions I have. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They keep us up to date with current legal legislation. The meetings are informative and well presented.This is definitely worth the £70 a year to be a member.
A great help in times of crisis
Swift, capable , up to date, informed advice. Whether it be admin, advertising, a situation with a tenant, rent arrears, sourcing a domestic item or just a ‘problem’ that’s come up.
The team are calm, grounded, reassuring and knowledgeable.
I’ve found each of them to have really heard my query and helped me to address it very quickly.
This week they’ve helped me to source a new range cooker to replace my old one - to fit a ‘difficult’ gap.
And advised about how to proceed with both TDS deposit recovery and the tenant over overdue rental payments from a tenant who has moved out.

The agent refused to give me information about the property he was extremely rude. He was more interested on knowing what the purpose was instead of answering my questions. I do not know if it is because of my foreigner accent, but he have behaved extremely bad with me and not even once been polite while talking

Invaluable help for an inexperienced landlord
Eastern Landlords Association staff members Paul and Angie have given me invaluable advice and help with setting up a tenancy, my first time dispensing with an agent though I have let before with one. I used and adapted the ELA online resources, template documents, and also consulted the advice and templates available at .gov. I used ELA's property advertising service which was very effective, and the reference and credit checking service also. I had to ask lots of questions about procedure, using a lot of their time, which they gave generously and for which I am very grateful. An improvement for all parties would be to have more of this available in a document too. Advice about how to proceed with some unexpected issues arising out of the credit-checking was invaluable. Thanks ELA, I could not have done this without your help!
Saved hundreds of pounds!
So glad I joined the ELA. Not just for the good advice and quick responses to my questions.... I saved hundreds of pounds by advertising my property to rent on Zoopla via ELA, then I had a full credit and reference search done and got a new tenant in a week.
It would have cost 10 times more using a high street estate agent.
I highly recommend ELA not just for their excellent service, but for being on the side of the landlord, which is rare these days.
ELA have been a great help to me
This is the second time ELA have helped me find new tenants for a property. Both times they have been very helpful in posting the advert on Zoopla, providing copies of all the documents needed and carrying out credit checks. They made the whole process more professional than I would have been able to do on my own and respond very quickly to any requests

As a landlord I always let my property through a letting agent, Not anymore, when experiencing a few problem with my letting agent, I turned ELA, just wished i had done this several years ago.
They were so helpful, provided me with factual information, assisted me with form filling, provided me with correct document to serve on my tenants and just eased the way forward, apart from saving me a fortune they were there when i needed help.
