Just such beautiful plants and excellent service, highly recommend.

One of the best shops out there for plants! Nearly a third of my collection comes from this shop alone, each plant is cared for with the outmost love! Sarah is amazing and will give the best advice on how to grow them. Everything arrives super well packaged (with a heat pack when needed) and it never takes long to arrive. Massive bonus, the prices are amazing when compared to other stores. Will keep on buying and can’t wait to get my next baby!

Superb shop full of rare and unusual plants at very competitive prices, with some of the more common plants dotted about on the website too. Sarah really goes out of her way to ensure your plants arrive in great condition too as her packaging is second to none. Customer service is likewise fantastic, as she’s super approachable and happy to help. Would (and often do) highly recommend Eastern Tropicals to anyone looking for quality houseplants, particularly rarer aroids.

I am a avid aroid collector and brought from many shops but Eastern Tropcials has to be the best. Sarah is always so kind and helpful and has such great prices and a great variety of stock! My favourite Queen came from her! Throughly recommend!

I’ve had close to 20 plants from this business and each time they’ve been amazing! Healthy and super well packaged. They come packaged in tubes and securely within the pots meaning transport damage is minimal / if any at all! (Can’t help it when you ship plants but it’s clear this shop does everything physically possible to prevent!), on multiple occasions I’ve approached the shop for advice and received a swift response and guidance on care. The communication is something to be proud of. I look forward to my next bargain!

I bought a Syngonium Wendlandii and a Syngonium three kings from Eastern Tropicals and was really impressed. Great price and the plants were extremely healthy and well rooted. Packaging was second to none meaning no transport damage at all. Happy customer and will buy again

I’ve bought a couple of plants here in the past year and this is definitely my favourite plant shop in the UK. Just browsing the website, you can tell there is experience behind this business. Plus, the customer service is amazing. Sarah very kindly sorted out some plant issues for me. I probably shouldn’t buy more plants, but I most likely will get some here again.

Eastern Tropicals has quickly become my favourite place for unusual plants at amazing prices. The variety of plants available is always incredible, the packaging is done really well and delivery is super super quick. They look after all their customers really well and I can’t recommend them enough!

I have been a regular customer to Eastern Tropical in 2020 and enjoyed our communications and the quality of plants I get. I joke they drop plants like Supreme. I have been able to get Philodendrons, Hoyas and some bargains.

Price:
Compared to bidding wars and sellers making profits on the back on the social media craze. Eastern Tropical's prices are fair and not overpriced. Some of the plants are never sold this junior or even potted what you get is a good price and investment.

Plants: From bargain basement to higher priced rarer plants the quality of the plant, soil and packaging is of a high standard. You will get a rooted cutting either in a soil mix or perlite dependent on the listing.

Packaging and delivery: Quick and packaged carefully, no damage and hardly any soil leaks. Says fragile on the box.

Knowledge: As someone who is training in horticulture I can see that Eastern Tropical's is a experienced grower in tropical plants and understands how to grow and care and helps you if in trouble. I enjoyed sharing our experience through messages and gardening ideas.

In Summary:
If you are worried about ebay, or think that is too much for that variegated monstera. Love plants? Then you will not have any problems with Eastern Tropical. I

As someone who’s kept tropicals for nearly a decade, I vouch for this place with a degree of modest experience - here’s my review based on my own purchases over the past 12 months or so, I’ve bought 5-10. (I have been collecting orchids for 8 years and aroids around 2-3, and have made every mistake in the book in that time!!)

In summary, if you’re going to be shelling out the cost and future care effort for an uncommon plant, get it from here as you can be assured it’s healthy, strong and you’ll have the best start to get it to thrive - buy a top quality plant in the first place and you’ll be in a gold position. It really is a very different quality here than elsewhere (and that’s from me losing a lot of money on plants that weren’t really sent to me in a way they’d thrive, and not being able to replace them due to £ and availability!)

1. Plants from here are actually grown and cared for by the shop and not just bought in from a nursery en masse and sold off quickly like many other places, so you get a better quality plant. Quality is botanical garden standard! The potting medium is the right sort for that exact plant and not just That heavy coir that you get from the bulk stock, which isn’t suitable for our home growing/ watering environments. Crucially, they’ve also spent the time and effort to acclimate the plants to the UK climate and thus are very, very hardy to our own homes, so they won’t decline easily at all (most shops don’t do this btw as it’s a hassle and costs them more).
2. You get the exact plant in the photo for and the seller also honestly describes any imperfections (If any) and particular growing needs for that exact plant you’re gonna get, so you’ve the best chance to care for it yourself and don’t get catfished (eg. Keep this one in the moss it’s sent to you in for x months/ this one needs a pole asap / there’s some damage to the old leaf)
3. Because the seller grows the plants, they actually know what they’re doing - many shops I’ve experienced just ship in plants from growers then sell them off as quickly as they can and they don’t actually know how to care for them, so you may receive a plant that’s not actually in great shape, or, you can’t ask them a care question etc. The guys here are very, very knowledgeable and seem to genuinely care about the plants! I think it’s cos these guys actually know what they’re doing and they’re in it for their passion, (around prior to the aroid craze), and in it for the long haul - the plants are better quality than the bulk stock you’d get elsewhere, they won’t sell you a plant unless it’s healthy and ready to be shipped
3. Because they’re small batches, they’re higher quality - no brainier, comparable to the difference in buying a superior quality food product from a farm-shop vs a lesser from a supermarket. The sellers tend to each of their plants themselves and so they get loads of individual care, it’s evident when you get it - I’ve put a plant side by side to the same plant from another shop and it was obvious these guys had better quality. They don’t sell the plant until it’s ready so you know when you get it, it’s gonna grow and thrive and over any ‘trying’ phase!
4. Delivery and packaging is lightning, always next working day post and not loads of wasteful packaging - no plastic wrapping waste and never had so much as a bruised leaf. They have been doing this a long time so it’s clear they know how to pack the plants. Not overly huge boxes that use up your recycling bin either!
5. Customer service is unbelievable- it’s clearly their passion as every time I’ve asked a question or needed help I get a reply that’s personal and as if you’re asking a mate to help you, and they’re so nice, they never laugh at you for asking a silly question or fob you off with a stock answer. They genuinely care about their plants and that comes across.

IMO, don’t make my previous mistakes and be fooled in buying a plant that’s bigger, for the same price as here, as it’s just not the same quality, I’ve been there and done it and I’ve bought from probably 75% of all the main online shops in the UK - these plants are the real deal and the quality outstrips any that is the same price that’s bigger - just get a healthy plant from here and you know it’ll grow bigger than the other one within a year anyway - plants are eternal, so of you want it to last, get a great one in the first place and you’re half way there!

I have had a few plants from Eastern tropical now and everytime they have been amazing!! Top quality, good pricing and arrive next day wonderfully packaged. Sarah is also wonderful. Would recommend her to any plant collector!
