The lid piercer does not work well.

The main reason I bought this was to assist with removing lids from jars. Once I hadd worked out which part of the Multi-Use Opener I needed to use, it worked perfectly. I think the item is fair value for money.

This is the very very best can opener and in particular the facility to lift the metal tops which usually with a previous model just flew off in the kitchen now I can open any tine including my Dogs Royal Canin special diet meat with complete confidence instead of worrying about getting it open, so I bought a 2nd one.
