The distribution of water from them is a little less than perfect. I find if I add a very small hole above half up the spike I then start to a better flow

It has not been easy to find bottles that these fit on. All the new attached lids have a different diameter, but I have now found some drinks that do still have removable lids, so it is all systems go!

Spikes do NOT fit water bottles. Being adjusted through a process of sanding the neck of the bottle managed to fix the spikes, BUT the water does not come out in the soil as spikes get blocked easily, so another trick is needed to make them release the water '' automatically''- ha-ha. Waste of money :-(
