Simple amplifier, but works well, and fantastic value for money. If you are merely hard of hearing and have to have the tv turned up, then this will let you listen as normal and other people in the room no longer have to shout! The volume dial is a bit sensitive, but once set, stays put, and all is well. If you're not sure about your hearing, give it a try - at this price it's a winner.

This really is a little miracle. My husband has tinnitus and didn’t hold out much hope but what a difference it made! He could hear the TV clearly and me talking quietly to him.Yes, it does also amplify background noise so maybe not suitable in a noisy restaurant but it has made him more confident at home and I don’t have to shout and repeat myself anymore. A small price for a big difference. Only negative is that the volume control is very fiddly and can’t be adjusted easily when the piece is on the ear. Give it a go! You can’t go wrong for the price.
