Had trouble with other clippers not working on thick nails. These worked well and were easy to use.

1) You describe the colour as "grey" but mine has plastic handle sleeves in blue plastic as your illustration ??? 2) I like the wire spring to open the handles & its roller made of very small wire diameter like a coil spring. I also like how the wire spring can be folded away from the hinge to inactivate it when the clipper is stored with the clear plastic blade protector fitted. 3) When I got it out of the box & moved the handles for the first time, I heard an abrasive scraping sound. I was sure the hinge mating surfaces were contaminated - probably from polishing in manufacture. I oiled the hinge with a thin oil continuously, while gently moving the handles (wire spring inactivated) until the contaminated oil dripping off no longer appeared to be black with abrasive. Normal hinge action at last! I shouldn't have had to do that. 4) It's good at cutting very tough toe nails. Care necessary though - not a criticism.

Advertised as LARGE, they could only be classified as large for on of Snow White's friends. Whoever decide that they are grey, must be coulor blind as they are blue.
