So fun!
I had such a wonderful trip! I showed up as a solo traveller and met the most welcoming people, ate amazing food, and went on spectacular runs. Sean and Alicja were incredible hosts and make a massive effort to make sure everyone was having fun.
The Trail Des Maures was a big highlight. Such a beautiful trail and it was so fun to have such a great group of people supporting along the way!
Eat sleep trails ROCKS…
I cannot recommend eat-sleep-trail-run enough. Fabulous incredibly tasty food & super selection of running running trails. After our daily trail running we returned to their accommodation to enjoy the sauna and swimming pool. A perfect way to relax the body.
All of our needs were catered for from start to finish & we were treated like royalty.
Eat sleep trails also organised a boat trip to a truly magnificent island where we went snorkeling with some very colorful fish.
A surprise trip to a small but beautiful historic French village was also included in our trip. Hats off to our hosts, they did a magnificent job & I will certainly return again.

This is where you go when you want to…live & breath & ...
This is where you go when you want to turn your brain off/ leave it behind for a few days. Collected from airport, dropped back to airport, all delicious healthy filling meals prepared, events organised, mini buses, sauna, (pool) pool, beautiful French village/ culture, no tourists (except us 🫣), & 2 hosts that are just down to earth & think of everything, so you do not have to! Along with that i met an amazing group of women, after travelling to there first time on my own, 2 years ago ... some of us have met up 6+ times since... I am going back to Eat Sleep Trail Run for the 3rd time end of year ... some on our trip this is their 6th/ 7th time ... its just fabulous, just do it! ❣️🌿
Thank you both Seanie & Alicja🥰
Fab holiday with Epic retreats…
Had a fab holiday with Epic retreats for Easter 2026. Did yoga, hikes, snorkelling, paddle boarding, a wine tour and lounging by the pool. The food was out of this world. Most relaxed trip ever as they literally took care of everything.
Excellent
Beatiful place, Great food, super friendly crew & epic adventures highly recommend.
Race in the Verdon Canyons - June 25
I still find myself thinking about the trail running camp I went to last June in the South of France with Sean and Alicia. Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin — it was one of those trips that stays with you long after you’ve unpacked your bags.
The setting alone felt unreal. Every run and hike came with the kind of views that make you stop mid-stride just to take it all in. The house itself was absolutely gorgeous — the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home — and every little detail of the week was planned perfectly. We never had to think about anything except enjoying ourselves.
And the food… my god. Every meal was incredible. Fresh bread, amazing coffee, beautiful dinners, and even post-run picnics that somehow tasted like the best meal you’ve ever had. One of my favourite moments was actually after the Verdon race. On the drive home we pulled over and had lunch on these picnic benches overlooking the most breathtaking view. Legs tired, everyone buzzing from the race, incredible food in hand — it was pure magic.
But the activities were just as unforgettable. Trail runs through mountains and islands, hikes, yoga sessions, snorkelling, paddle boarding in water so blue it didn’t look real, boat trips, camping the night before the race, and of course a stop at what might genuinely be the best ice cream shop in the world. We even had the most beautiful meals on what felt like a private beach.
As amazing as all of that was, the thing I’ll always cherish most are the little moments — sitting around the pool chatting, laughing together on the deck as the sun set before dinner, and all the conversations and connections that happened in between the adventures.
This camp somehow attracts the most wonderful people, and that’s really down to Sean and Alicia. They create an atmosphere that feels welcoming, relaxed and full of joy. By the end of the week it didn’t feel like a group of strangers on a trip — it felt like a little community.
It was one of those rare experiences where everything just clicks: the place, the people, the adventure, the food, the laughs. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
Pyrenees July 2024
I did the Pyrenees trip with Eat Sleep Trail Run back in July 2024, as I wanted to experience trail running in some bigger mountains and they were highly recommended by someone I knew. The trip was very well-organised and Seanie and Alicja looked after everything you needed to ensure you enjoyed yourself and that everything was just perfect. The trail runs were in beautiful, jaw-dropping places and it was hard not to stop and look at the scenery every now and then to take it in. During the runs, Seanie ensure that noone never got left behind and everyone were ok. I'd 100% recommend their trips to anyone looking for a fun trail running trip.

Went over to Seanie in 2023 for the long weekend in October with some fellow Kerry runners. Really enjoyable trip, great routes picked by Seanie for some Kerry folk looking to run on the hills. Food and accommodation was great, local village was nice and easy going and welcoming atmosphere by Seanie and Alicja throughout and fun banter had.
Would highly recommend a trip over.
Incredible experience from every…
Incredible experience from every aspect. If you want to train, meet some fantastic people, eat some amazing healthy food or just chill out on the trails this has it all. Seanie and his team have built something very special here.
Absolutely amazing trips
Absolutely amazing trips hosted by Seanie & Alicja. They cater for a range of different experiences and well worth the money.
Recreation, relaxation and enjoyment in Toulon
I had the good fortune to sejourn at Seanie and Alicia’s sublime retreat on two separate occasions in the winters of 2023 & 2024 respectively. With panoramic mountain and sea views from the well appointed and located 1st floor deck, it is the ideal location to escape the daily rigours of life and reinvigorate and replenish both body & soul. Daily bespoke cycling & trail runs customised with advice from Seanie & Alicia, were provided to less travelled, yet uniquely stunning locations, a bonus highlight being the food stop prepared by Alicia at midpoint enroute, always at an invariably breathtaking location. Post route recuperating in the on-site pool and sauna facilities were complimented with optional use of recovery boots, that created a relaxing atmosphere where guests from diverse backgrounds & locations were encouraged to openly engage with each other. Dinner each evening provided a feast for both eyes and body where a stunning array of plant based dishes were provided , to the delight of many like I who were unaware and unaccustomed to such delights, which embody the shared ethos set out by the hosts and which I believe sets it apart and above any other comparable retreats. Post dinner drinks and conversations with other guests and the hosts are encouraged, before retiring to the simple, uncluttered yet well maintained sleeping quarters. For those wishing to venture further afield , a number of quaint restaurants and bars are located a stones throw away. Breakfast like the evening dinner before was always an occasion to discuss the day ahead and the evening past, whilst enjoying the wholesome spread on offer. Departing to the airport, rested and invigorated was bitter sweet as one longed to return to be pampered and revitalised on another occasion. I look forward to returning again in the not too distant future
Totally Recommended :-)
I have enjoyed the great food , trails and craic during several trips to Eat Sleep Trail Run HQ in sunny south of France during the last 3 years.
Super trails, cycling routes, swim and SUP spots. Breathtaking views, culture and craic whilst being fed super home cooked meals with lots of rehydration available both in house and in local café bar.
Cannot recommend highly enough -> Hence why I keep going back :-)
Trail Des Maures - Eat Sleep Trail run
Had an amazing week with Sean and Alicia. From the moment we got picked up at the airport everything ran so well. Their ability to gauge what the group would like to do on a given day and to adjust schedule according to weather and their local knowledge is amazing! From our first run near Cassis and down onto a stoney beach straight out of a scene from ‘The Talented Mr Ripley’ to our big event running the Trail Des Maures & and boat trip to local islands - everything was amazing.
The food, the accommodation, and the scenery are unreal.
We started out early on the Saturday to make our way to Collobrieres , a picturesque French mountain side village. It was here that the The Trail Des Maures set out from… and what a race it was!!!
Starting through the village, running with the sound of alpine cow bells from local supporters , we set off up the mountains. I ran the 32km route and it was an exceptional challenge. A great mix of woodland, farmland, rocky technical terrain and plenty of ascents and descents - over 1,700km of elevation gain!!! I loved it but it was definitely the toughest race Ive ran but so worth it!
We celebrated with a post race beer and some lovely food from Alicia that was set up at the foot of a stone bridge next to the river running through the village.
Back to HQ then to relax and recover in the pool and sauna - a perfect day!
Most AMAZING trail retreat ever!
I have gone on 5 trips now by these guys … and that tells you something …. The best vibes at these camps … it really does feel like home ! And it is probably for that reason that they attract the best people … If you are on the fence, just trust me and go … it will probably be the best running holiday you ever go on ! The vibes… the food … the trails … the people … the sauna … just do it !
Epic trail running in south of France
I went of the trail running trips not knowing what to expect. It was am amazing experience. Great running routes, with good food and drink. And great fun in the evenings. We even managed some beach time and sea swimming with the great weather. I would highly recommend these experiences
Premium Trail run & Adventure experience!! 100% Passion!!
2024: When we arrived in France for the first time and meet Sean, Alicja and the other participants we immediatly got immerged into a fantastic trail vacation. Directly from the Airport we drove to the beach to have a really memorable 6hours Run/Climb alongside the cliffs. A great intro into some really challenging but also entertaining Trailventures (incl. Speedboating, SUP, Diving, etc.). The evenings were filled with carbo loading, lots of laughing, some Yoga, enjoying the pool and Sauna - what else can you ask for??! We had quite a broad range of runners with us, no one was left behind but also no one complained not to be challenged at the end of the trip :-)
2025: For this trip I even convinced a non-trail-running friend to join us. Sean organized a participation in a 17 or 26k Trail race and our complete team had a blast and finished successfully. The race was embedded by some really nice trail runs alongside the coast and the "usually" fantastic logistical and culinary efforts by Alicja and Sean.
If you wanna enjoy a well-organized "training camp" organized by really experienced hardcore-trail runners with a ton of passion - Go for it!! Strong recommendation.
Exceptional Hospitality
I cannot recommend eatsleptrailrun enough. If you are looking for a trail running or hiking holiday, with breathtaking scenery, exceptional hospitality, this is it. I've been on two trips now with Seanie and Alicja and I will be back. From the moment you get off that plane everything is taken care of for you. All meals were wholesome and freshly cooked by Alicja and I'm neither vegan or vegetarian, but I genuinely did not notice the difference, so anyone that maybe be a picky eater BELEIVE me you will love the food it was amazing!!! I could be here all day talking about how good their trips are, but you need to go and experience this for yourself, you will not be disappointed.
Wow , Verdon Canyon race , sup boards , trails and Michelin star food
Wow , this the word I used back in June 2025 when I visited Seanie and Alicja for my first visit to their amazing villa in Southern France 🇫🇷 to compete in the Verdon Canyon race with two of my friends . I met three other people who I have stayed friends with since that time .
I now call it my home from home as I travelled back in January 2026 with my partner who’s new to trail running and from the moment Alicja picked us up at the airport it was ten star ⭐️ treatment all the way! You feel so relaxed and included in every aspect of your stay !
The only thing you have to do is put on your trail runners each day nd enjoy the sights nd mountains of southern France
The food is Michelin stars quality always and one of my favourite parts was walking up to the boulangerie for baguettes 🥖 in the mornings ( entirely voluntary)
Whether your into trail running, hiking , swimming, cycling or general health and wellness this is a trip you will be catered for in such a professional way
Laughter is one of the best medicines and you’ll get that in bucket loads
I cannot recommend Seanie and Alicja enough, we will be back in December hopefully and can’t wait for more @eatsleeptrailrun ❤️
Trail running eating fab food & laughing
From the moment we were picked up in Marseille airport until we were dropped back a week later we were looked after like VIPs from trail running, hiking, running, walking, saunas and cool dips these guys Seanie & Alicja really are experts in their field. They know all the best local spots and times to visit and arrange route to accommodate for all abilities, as I'm new to trail running and needed to be directed to shorter routes on occasion. Refreshments were always close by at the end of the day's activity as Alicja is a phenomenal cook and introduced us to some tasty vegetarian dishes 😋 A most enjoyable but hard week of training was had in the South of France and as I write this review I have a smile on my face just thinking about all the amazing and fantastic memories we made on our adventure to eatsleeptrailrun in January 2026
