Warranty not honored.

I purchased an expensive ($519 delivered)product with a two year warranty. It totally failed after seven months of little use so I attempted to make a warranty claim. The best the supplier would offer was a discount on a replacement. I tried to contact eBay customer service regarding my claim and their system made it totally impossible for me to do so. For all intense and purpose they have no customer service.

Extremely disappointing experience with eBay

I have been an eBay customer for many years and recently had one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have ever encountered.
I attempted to sell an antique item that had been in my family's possession for decades. eBay requested identity verification and proof of ownership. I promptly provided my passport, proof of address, photographs of the item, and a detailed explanation that, due to the age of the item and the fact that it had been owned by my family for many years, no original purchase receipt existed.
Instead of receiving a sensible response, I was met with a confusing and contradictory process. After speaking with eBay customer support in the UK, I was advised to open an Italian eBay account because of issues relating to my UK account and an item located in Italy. I followed their advice exactly.
Shortly afterwards, the account was permanently restricted.
What was most disappointing was that nobody seemed willing or able to explain what the actual problem was. I received generic messages referring to unspecified "risk" and "account activity" without any meaningful explanation. My evidence and explanations appeared to be ignored entirely.
The experience left me with the impression that decisions were being made by automated systems with little or no human review, while customer support was unable to resolve or even properly understand the issue.
After many years as an eBay customer, I decided to close all of my eBay accounts and no longer use the platform.
A company of eBay's size should be capable of providing clear explanations, consistent advice, and reasonable treatment of long-standing customers.
Very disappointing.

I bought a very hard to find car part…

I bought a very hard to find car part from a 4.8star seller in USA. They sent an F150 truck part. eBay returned my money pronto, very good. The seller still advertised the part at a significantly higher price 3×. I placed an order, waited, received a different part for a different car. This time no refund, I thought paypal would assist. Then I learned eBay owns paypal. Case closed no refund $400 out of pocket. Beware using eBay recommended sellers, beware of international returns, beware Paypal is in on the rort with eBay.

Ebay's unreliable and fraudulent authentication service.

I am submitting a formal complaint regarding significant issues with eBay's authentication services that deserve immediate attention:

1. I received a notification from eBay indicating that a pair of shoes I listed was counterfeit. This accusation took me by surprise, as I purchased the shoes directly from the Hermès boutique. After I provided copies of the receipts, eBay returned them without offering any justification for their conclusion that the shoes were counterfeit. How is it possible for them to declare a pair of shoes fake based solely on a listing picture, disregarding authentic receipts?

2. I sold a pair of Hermès slippers, and while the authenticator claimed the shoes were authentic, they failed to locate the label, which is clearly visible on the side of both shoes. How can they consider themselves experts when they cannot even identify the label's location? A little research could have helped them, yet their lack of diligence cost me the sale.

Somebody needs to investigate eBay’s practices, as they falsely accuse users without solid evidence, thereby undermining fair business practices and trust within their community through their unreliable authentication service.

Product not the same…

I have been using a specific intensive healing lotion for a long time now. I decided to order one bottle from ebay since the price was a couple dollars less than what I've been paying. As soon as I pumped one dollop of lotion I knew right away, it wasn't the same. Whereas what I've been buying was thick, this was thin, almost watery. My original lotion had a medicinal smell, this one smelled like perfume. I checked the ingredients & both were the same which means, something was added to this lotion from ebay. I will never trust ebay products again. Paying the extra money to get the correct product is worth it, rather than not knowing what is added or maybe reused on products from ebay.

Terrible refund practice

I purchased a shower curtain, when received was poor quality so I asked for a refund. Ebay asked me to confirm the amount, but little did I know they kept $5. My suggestion is not to do business with ebay, they do not have reputable business practices.

I purchased some beetroot juice on the eBay platform, It never arrived so I contacted seller who said his account had been hacked and advised me to contact eBay for a refund, I contacted them but they are refusing to refund me! This is theft of my money as I did nothing wrong! They are a disgrace and a law to themselves, Also when selling items they charge me the buyer protection fee however I am the seller not the buyer! They are getting very poor of late and I am extremely disappointed with them! Kind regards Mark!

I was selling jeweller on EBay for 2-3…

I was selling jeweller on EBay for 2-3 years and because my original address was in the Uk but then also Spain the postage system with eBay was never resolved and complicated
When something goes wrong there is no system to help or resolution
I posted two parcels to clients in the Uk which were received and eBay have kept nearly £600 from the sales and closed my account without any warning or discussion only saying -
There was in appropriate active but not telling me what if was or allowing any help or support

Terrible support from eBay vis a vis…

Terrible support from eBay vis a vis buyer. Ebay is so shockingly biased toward seller. I had a few issues where I purchased listed items. The seller realise that he can get a better price and alleges that the item is out of stock and ask me to cancel. They can read the message but do not do anything about it when I complain. It gets better I obviously do not receive the item and keep chasing to receive my money back and the seller gets free money for a while multiply this and you can imagine the profiteering. Ebay seems complacent and keep saying that they do not see any violations. Ebay. I am still waiting from my item or money back so please do some work to resolve the issue and help your customers.

Once was my favorite company I ordered a part sent it back it was mailed off once out of my hands to be shipped not my problem how long it takes USPS they denied my refund and kept my part now I’m out of 38 dollars and the part

Nothing but SCAMMERS
eBay was once a great site but is now a one stop shop for scammers. You either don’t get your parcel or what you receive is completely wrong and if you go through PayPal and request a refund you are made to jump through hoops and treated as if you are the thief with very little chance of getting a refund. I have used them both for over 30 years and the past 2 years have been nothing but a headache and so frustrating that I have decided never to use either one again. In all honesty if the only place you can find what you are looking for is on eBay then do yourself a favour and look for something else as your chance of getting what you think you have paid for is NIL. They should change their name to ScamBay.

Ebay sellers are removing negative reviews

I have been a long time user of Ebay, with a couple of thousand transactions as a buyer and seller, with a 100% positive rating. However, several recent transactions have led me to the conclusion that both the company and some vendors have found ways to game the system, specifically to avoid refunds and expunge any negative reviews. Although Ebay promises to cover any bad transactions, in the 2 events I tried to get Ebay make sellers honor refunds, they made me jump through multiple hoops and then weaseled out in the end. This is all done through automated systems and there is no way to voice a challenge or even a complaint. One would think that at least a disappointed buyer could post a negative review, but apparently the unscrupulous sellers can have these deleted as well, so you no longer trust the sellers rating.

I bought things from eBay

I bought things from eBay. My delivery date was June 1st.gofo Express was supposed to deliver my package. What they did is they came here to deliver my package. Instead of delivering my package. It took a picture of the package so they can get approved they they deliver my package. And then they take the package with them. Our later they send the message or your package been delivered. What package they were talking about. The one they took it with them. When I call the eBay. eBay told me they delivered I even have approved that gofo fake delivered. It's not only mine happening in my neighborhood that a lot of people's package wasn't there. And some people were standing in the mailroom and while they get a message that package is delivered and there was no package in the mail room. They insist to get my refund back. I lost my package my money. N gofo fake delivered my package. This company needs to shut down because it's flooding people.

ARROGANT COMPANY

This is one of the most arrogant, despicable, and frustrating companies I have ever dealt with. They are guided by only one value: profit. They are not interested at all in the process for their sellers, the sellers that make the income for them. Fairness is out the window. Objectivity and the human touch is entirely absent. They are not open at all to suggestions or improvement. They are arrogant in that they feel like they lead the show, so they have zilch interest in listening to their sellers. They heavily depend on AI for their metrics, which oftentimes are so terribly incorrect. They allow and support angry, hostile reviews from buyers, though these reviews do not help other buyers understand the sellers at all. What they are complicit in is allowing nasty people to just rage on and vent angry and mean reviews. Ebay itself is a bully company. If sales are not where they want them to be, they threaten, and then cut off the seller's ability to sell certain items. Guess who that hurts: it hurts the seller, AND ebay. The company can never be reached on the phone. They hide behind technology only. Customer service is virtually absent!! I detest working with this company. They are miserable.

Ordered 2 lots of Oil and Oil Filters, Only 1 Oil filter was correctly supplied, the 2 Oils were not the right spec and 1 of the Oild filters was wrong, despite putting in the correct Car reg Numbers.

May 14th I paid for a lift recliner on eBay with PayPal. It had a delivery date near the end of the month. On May 20th I received a tracking that it had been delivered. That was not true. I sent the seller a message. No response. I filed a refund with eBay due to not getting it. eBay turned my refund down because the seller said I received it.
I then filed a refund with PayPal who said it had been delivered. While waiting on PayPal I called UPS. They told me that I had been scammed due the the seller changing the address and being delivered to that address. On June 16 my case was closed by PayPal. I am out of my money. eBay and PayPal is a scam for crooks.
