Great partner when you deal with currencies
Great partner when you are working with all the different currencies in the world. Being able to sell and buy currency at certain dates, makes it easier to know what we will get, whatever happens in the world in the meantime. Friendly service and quick response when you need them.
Extremely Disappointing Customer Service
I’ve had an extremely disappointing experience with Ebury’s customer service. Every time I’ve tried raising a genuine concern, my account manager’s response has been to suggest I take my business elsewhere and close my account — rather than addressing the issue. This seems to be their standard approach to any complaint. Attempts to escalate the matter to a manager or other team members have been completely futile.
It’s frustrating and unprofessional to see a company dismiss client concerns instead of resolving them. Definitely not the level of service I expected from a financial institution handling business transactions.

Never work with this company
The stupid company to work with .. All the people who work inside full of attitude, do not know how to talk nice to customers... they even have guts to say to clients, this is how we work.

few years ago we were shown the door by Ebury, because we were a too small company. few years later they are agressively acquisitioning again. told them we have no interest anymore, but they keep bothering.
Pretending like they have the best transaction costs / currency exchange rates, but they are just picking the right moments to check. no added value compared to just using same-sort services from your avarage house-bank.
So many unsolicited phone calls and…
So many unsolicited phone calls and emails to both my personal phone, as well as multiple company email accounts. Go away.
Beware of Eburys Rip off tactics.
Beware… Ebury handcuff you into multimillion dollar currency deals from a simple telephone conversation and then send you a copy of the ‘legally binding conversation’. Then no comms.
In 32 years in business, I have never mis-trusted a company more than Ebury. They are the modern day equivalent of Tenerife timeshare touts in the 80s and 90s.
From a simple telephone conversation of how a deal would work, to being handcuffed into a US$2.2m deal which they claim is legally binding! No “Do you fully understand you’re about to commit to buy US$2.2m” or “Do you fully understand how this product works?” or “would you like the see a demo of our platform before you commit ?” - Nothing. Just a simple ‘rip off” conversation an email receipt for £1.6m which you apparently owe and then silence.
Obviously, we are reporting our experience with Ebury to the FCA as both myself and our legal counsel feel it’s clear this is plain and simple mis-selling.
Please do not fall into the same trap !

Smooth onboarding, sharp rates, stellar service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ebury made international payments feel effortless. The onboarding was quick (all set up within a couple of days), every team member I spoke with was responsive and genuinely helpful, and their FX rates beat what I was seeing elsewhere.
The delays, administrative burden, and overall inefficiency have made our experience with Ebury a costly and time-wasting detour
Following a very thorough and time-consuming onboarding process, we deposited funds into our Ebury account, expecting a more streamlined approach to our foreign exchange transactions. Unfortunately, our experience has been the opposite.
We operate across multiple jurisdictions and work with a wide range of small service providers such as lawyers, consultants, surveyors, and accountants. While initial payments went through without issue, Ebury soon began requesting extensive documentation for each beneficiary, ranging from passports and ID cards to detailed company information. These are not documents we can easily obtain from professionals who are simply issuing an invoice for their services.
In addition, even internal transfers from our corporate account into Ebury now require disproportionate levels of documentation, including information on equity investors and capital raise agreements. This effectively means going through a new onboarding process for every single transaction. As a result, what should be straightforward transfers are now taking weeks to process.
We have ultimately decided to return to using our corporate bank for FX transactions.
If you are a company without bandwidth for very strict and excessive compliance, you should reconsider testing Ebury.
Good job!
Professional team! The Ebury platform is easy and clearly to use.

An extremely professional team and easy to use platform
An extremely professional team. The Ebury platform is very easy to use. We are a small charity and we've used Ebury to facilitate transactions in multiple currencies worldwide. We had two dedicated account managers, Giuliano and Edward, who were both very professional and took the time to understand our needs as a small charity. They went the extra mile to help transfer the funds on time.

Thanks to Ebury
Thanks to Ebury, our company has been able to optimise the purchasing cycle, allowing us to manage sales lists in a way that we have never been able to do before. Their consultants offer a priceless and impeccable service and deserve our sincere congratulations.
Stay Away from Ebury – A Disaster
If I could give Ebury zero stars, I absolutely would. Our experience with this so-called "fintech" company has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the very beginning, their customer service was unresponsive, unskilled, and outright incompetent. The representatives seemed clueless about even the most basic financial procedures, and every interaction felt like I was talking to someone reading off a generic script with no real knowledge of their own services.
They offered no clear explanation and bombarded us with endless requests for documentation. It was an infuriating cycle of incompetence.
Their product offerings are a mess of contradictions and misleading terms. Sales reps make big promises that the company doesn’t deliver on. They lure businesses in with the promise of competitive exchange rates, only to surprise you with exorbitant fees and unfavorable currency conversions.
Ebury is desperately trying to market itself as a serious player in the fintech space, but given their atrocious track record with customers, it’s hard to imagine investors buying into the hype. If they attempt an IPO, it would be a disaster. Unless Ebury drastically changes its operations (which seems unlikely), any potential IPO would likely be dead on arrival.
If you value your time, money, and sanity, steer clear of Ebury. Their incompetence, misleading business practices, and complete disregard for customers make them one of the worst fintech firms out there. Do yourself a favor and choose a real financial institution that actually knows what they’re doing.
