Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 38 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers reported significant issues with product quality and durability, frequently citing shoe soles disintegrating or inferior materials after minimal use, leading to poor value given the high price point. Some also experienced problems with online orders, such as incorrect items or inconsistent sizing. A number of people were dissatisfied with customer service, noting a lack of responsiveness or perceived disinterest in addressing product concerns. Specific product flaws were also mentioned, including golf shoes not being water-repellent, uncomfortable insoles, or issues with fit. I am angry to discover only recently

I am angry to discover only recently, after seeing my Ecco shoe soles just crumble, that the company have known about the problem for years. And still sell these faulty shoes. I have several Ecco products which clearly now not safe or fit for purpose. Offering customers perhaps a voucher towards more shoes etc no good if this will just happen again. They should recall their products and reimburse customers fully now.

Haven’t Been Disappointed Yet

I’m actually shocked to see such low reviews. My husband and I have been buying Ecco for years and we’ve found they’ve been well-made and last a long time.
Recently I made an online order since the store I was at didn’t have my size. Somehow Canada Post mixed up with the shipping. A lovely customer service representative (Sandra at the Toronto Eaton Centre) called me and explained she was just as confused as to why my shipment made it almost all the way to my house (5 provinces away!) only to be rerouted. She personally made a new label and shipped it out again and it arrived soon after. And the shoes are just what I wanted. Its service like that which makes me comfortable buying from them.
If Ecco is going downhill in service or quality we’ve yet to experience it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Garbage!

Garbage. Soles disintegrated on 3 pairs of Ecco shoes, that were barely worn and appeared to be in like new condition until the disintegration. Fortunately, they were purchased through Nordstrom who gave me store credit for a portion of what I originally paid. Nordstrom takes care of their customers.

One less customer to worry about.

Been a long time customer, but no more. Last straw was incredibly cheap shoe laces, that broke in <2 months. When I asked for replacements, CS told me to take a hike. Ecco got one less customer to worry about.

Insole of shoe disintegrated within 3 weeks but when I tried to return to the Birmingham store the store assistant claimed it wasn’t the shoe that was faulty but the insole so refused to refund even thou the insole was part of the shoe I’d purchased Absolutely disgusting treatment. Never buy from there again

Purchated a pair of mens Exostride M…

Purchased a pair of mens Exostride M Low GTX outdoor shoes in January 2024.
Really comfortable shoe, but I cannot recommend them for the great outdoors.
They have a large cavity in the heel of the shoe which picks up everything, I mean everything.
They are not 100% waterproof as my left big toe will confirm and are quite slippery under foot in wet conditions.
Disappointed and only after 5 months.
Love there golf shoes.

several years ago.

I purchased a pair of ECCO shoes on Ebay.com.
I wore the shoes once and noticed that the sole started to come appart. I placed the shoes back in my cupboard. Recently I took them out and the shoes just fell apart. The sole broke down over time.
These shoes were made in Slovakia. They must have used some weird solvent in the sole material. I have also had issues with ECCO shoes made in Portugal.

Customer service - lack of.

My Hybrid ST shoes haven't fallen apart yet. They are very comfortable, if not the right shape. Made for Asian feet, the sole is particularly squishy. Customer service doesn't care about the after sales service. They send the customer to a computer bot to avoid responsibility for lack of delivery.

Don't buy Ecco

I have worn Ecco shoes for years because they are very comfortable. But I have recently had the same problem as others here - disintegrating soles, on both a pair of very expensive walking boots (RubberTech soles), and also a pair of brown leather lace-up shoes. Suddenly, without warning, the soles started to fall apart while out walking - in both cases on soles that not had a lot of wear.
I won't ever buy another pair of Ecco shoes again.

My wife bought waterproof boots 6…

My wife bought waterproof boots 6 months age. They are letting in water from the lace area of the boots. Customer service did not want to know and in doing so were rude and very unfriendly. Indicating that they already knew about the problem and were not going to do a thing about it.

I bought a pair of ecco walking…

I bought a pair of ecco walking waterproof boots last August. After 8 month, I only walked over wet grass, my feet where soaked. I went back to the shop. I told them what was wrong and that I don't have the receipt any more. And no bank statement because I paid in cash. The manager told me that she can't do anything for me because I have no proof. So I called the customer service, with the same answer and no interested in helping.
I can not believe that the ecco policie is so bad. I have bought in other shops and had to replace things without a receipt. It was never a problem.
Always on a basic of obligingness.
Ecco has not even bad shoes they also are not interested in to do something for their customers.
So I will throw away a 180 euro pair of shoes what was hardly worn.
Never ever again

Ecco shoes disintegrate.

I bought a pair of Ecco Turn GTX Nubuck Leather Waterproof Men's Slip-On Shoes, which are supposedly a robust hard wearing gore tex shoe. Now two years on the sole has disintegrated on one shoe. Searching on line, it appears this is a reasonably common fault. So £150 for a pair of shoes that last a couple of years and then have to be binned. Ecco say their shoes are built to last. Clearly not the case. Strongly recommend avoiding this brand.

First time ordering from Ecco

First time ordering from Ecco. Trainers looked cute and were almost half price. As soon as I got an email to say that Evri were the courier, I knew I had made an error. Why can’t these companies offer an option to choose Royal Mail. I’d pay the extra, gladly!

It took 10 days for them to arrive from ordering. I thought it might be worth it. But when I got them, I knew they were not what I expected. I always thought Ecco were high quality. The sole was made from a very lightweight foam, they felt so cheap and nasty (more like supermarket own brand trainers). I boxed them up immediately to return. Without a printer, my only option was to use an Evri locker that is 20 miles away. It was easy enough to do but I didn’t get a proof of posting or an email to say they were processing it.

It’s been 21 days since returning it and I got confirmation today that Ecco have received my return. Refund will process in up to 10 days.
I would not recommend Ecco.
