In response to the review below, I want to clarify as an outsider that the guy featured in the video was hired by the customer for their wedding. He does performances and provides entertainment as his job, so there was no affiliation to ECD. For promotion, he kindly requested for ECD to take a video and post him to advertise his services as a form of collaboration, so it is a very wrong assumption to be making. Please ask for information first before coming to incorrect conclusions. ECD carries a long history of bringing communities together in Dordrecht, and never discriminate. Thank you

Images of this event were shared publicly on the organizer’s social media, prominently featuring individuals with disabilities, including people with dwarfism. The posts received troubling public comments, with viewers describing the scene as “bizarre” and “dehumanizing.” These reactions called the tone and intent of the event into question. I experience the presentation of these individuals as highly problematic: their presence appeared to serve as entertainment rather than as a respectful or inclusive engagement. This kind of representation echoes painful historical practices of objectification and reinforces harmful stereotypes. It is deeply disappointing that such portrayals are still being promoted in 2025.
