Mislead

inking it was as agreed and most of it was. I was slid the warranty paper work and told as we discussed the warranty coverage, so I signed as I was told again 5 yr/75000 miles. Checked my paper work and it was no correct as it said I bought a 3yr/36000 warranty that I was never even told about. I even have a text from the salesman that he did tell me about that coverage and didn't mean to mislead us when I believe as he had no reason to. The sales manager pretty much said well he can't honor that even though I was told that. The best he could do is cancel the warranty and refund me my money, or basically take my 2017 on trade (as he would give me a good deal) and get me a newer vehicle that can have the 5yr/75000 because that warranty can not be put on my 2017 even though I was told that. I know if this had happened to a relative of his he would make it right as I am not getting what I was told that I was paying for. I have called three times to see if someone will help guide me as this has been a good experience up till this point. If I had been told the correct info about the warranty I would have had a totally different conversation, but they already took my vehicle in on trade so I am stuck with this 2017. EchoPark, you are a good company, I'm just disappointed you are not trying to help me and pretty much giving me the same opinions everyone gets as my situation is not like everyone else.

Don't stay away from this place....RUN

Don't stay away from this place....RUN. Checking on vehicle availability means nothing as you will be told it is available just to get you into their store. They confirmed 2x during the day with me that the car I was interested in was still available. After driving a hour to the dealership, guess what... Shoddy operation, typical bait and switch. Too many other options to purchase a vehicle from a more reputable dealer. If trust matters, then find another place to purchase your next vehicle.

I am writing this review to alert you…

I am writing this review to alert you all that any place that has this many 5 star reviews and this many 1 star reviews is obviously disreputable. The good reviews are mostly fake. We looked at a Ford F150XL Hybrid. Something is obviously wrong with it because, it is 10-15 thousand below market value. What does that mean? It means the truck was probably a flood car or had an “off the books” wreck and repair. Buyer Beware !!

Nope!!

Let me begin by saying I am sure folks have had good experiences, I didn’t. In the last week I purchased 3 vehicles including this one and the other two went smoothly though not at this dealership. I found a wonderful car online and decided to make the two hour drive to get it and what I thought I was saving will probably end up a wash or costing me more down the road. For starters I pleaded with the dealer to have the car ready to roll so that I could be in and out quickly since I was bringing a check and had worked the deal online but…. I spent almost 5 hours there in part to the fact that it had to go back to detailing because it was not cleaned and after 2 attempts I left with it still not being cleaned that great. They didn’t fill it up with gas which I thought was a given. Even though the deal was done online I still had to wait on the “appraiser” to look at the trade (mind you he is in no hurry and bee-bops and shuffles around without so much as a smile or hello, as a matter of fact the management hides behind closed doors and drag around like just because they have to be there all day so should customers. As far as the car I love it, but there multi point inspection before selling it failed to catch the major oil leak that I found in my driveway after getting home and parking it. Thankfully it still has manufactures warranty and I take it this week to be repaired. My salesman Muhammad seemed to be more concerned about getting high marks on a review than actually working for it as he pressed me multiple times about a strong review however, I’m unable to do so. Again I can’t speak for everyone but I will tell you to shop around. You will find folks that dress the part rather than look like construction workers and you will also find people that inspect a car before throwing it on the line to be sold. If you dare give it a shot you will be able to find a sales person quickly as they all gather around the front desk to check out the women on the lot and are not shy about saying how they feel. In my years of buying cars and being in the car business I can tell you the way they do business is pretty bad but don’t take my word for it, read and remember my review and try it out for yourself. I can guarantee you will agree with the majority of what I am saying.

The worst.

The worst.
Let me just say this, go elsewhere, never buy a vehicle that used to be a rental, and never trust the Carfax because not every business reports to the Carfax, especially rental agencies. And they won't tell you that the vehicle used to be owned by a rental agency. What they'll tell you is that nothing has been reported on the CarFax.
I had the vehicle I purchased checked out by two mechanics and two friends who told me to take it back, but it was too late. It wasn't even a month when the 1-year old vehicle started driving funny, veering, and making sounds. The mechanics said that the issues are obvious to anyone who repairs vehicles. But, of course, they hid this.
I've only had the vehicle for over a month, and it is getting worse and worse. Four people verified that it was obviously in some type of collision, needed a alignment and really BAD, and the struts were bent. These issues of course, didn't show until after their seven-day window. But EP's service department denied see anything, even the badly-needed alignment and balance.

None of them are honest. They will lie, cheat, and deceive to get your business, then have a nerve to get mad when you don't want their little extended warranty after they've already cheated you. I have to trade it in and be upside-down on the cost of a new vehicle just to make sure I have a reliable vehicle. But they are cursed, so that's that.
I learned the hard way, but you don't have to. Go elsewhere.
And wherever you go, get the Carfax AND the Reconditioning report on your used vehicles. Go directly to at least two mechanics and do not put ANY money down on the vehicle when you finance it. You can always put money down on the principal balance and refinance later. It's not just one location that's predatory. They're all in it together. And you deserve better.

They will have you do a review for them while you are still at the dealership and hadn't had the car for even 24 hours. So, of course, your review will be positive and done unaware. So, don't let them say that no one else feels this same way. Don't do any reviews on anything until after 30 days.

Echo Park North Houston-Buyer Beware.

Echo Park North Houston-Buyer Beware.
I purchased a 2017 Toyota RAV4 LE 18K miles in Februray 2020. I asked the saleswoman 2 times if car had ever had any body work or repainting from wrecks/collison/vadalism etc. Was told 2 times from the saleswomen the car has never been wrecked or damaged and has never had any body work or repainting. I walked around the car and did not notice any prior body work or repainting. The Car Fax report she provided did not have any wrecks on the report. One year later in February 2021, Houston had a freeze with low temps for several days and several hair line cracks in driver's side rear quarter panel appeared and the rear bumper started to separate. Since then, additional cracks in the same quarter panel have appeared and the cracks have also enlarged and the bumper separation has increased. I have since noticed paint overspray on the left side hatch back edge and the rear driver's side door frame does not line up with the car's body frame. The car had a driver's side rear end collison and was repaired and painted, and the repair was not done correctly and the repair area's paint job is bubbling and the paint sheen in the repair area does not match the rest of the car's paint. Buyer beware when dealing with Echo Park.

EchoPark was extremely easy to work with.

EchoPark was extremely easy to work with. We filled out an online quote and they reached out immediately to see when we could come by. They took it for a test drive and let us know the only thing that was different was the tires. They took off a reasonable amount for them, paid off our loan and we walked out with a check. Everyone there was amazing! I would definitely use them to sell a car in the future.

They never got my Car inspected so I never got a Tag!

I bought a 2020 Honda Accord from EchoParks. I need my car to be legal at all times due to my job. So the 30 day temp tag works well for those 30 days. However, I asked the dealership days before my tag expired where my new legit tag was. I was told It was on the way to their headquarters and I would have it on the day of expiration or the day after. The day comes....NOTHING.

I ask the following Monday (5 days AFTER my tag expired, since no one bothered to reply to my messages) and I finally got told It should have been delivered and they would look into it.

I get a call from the Charlotte Location saying my car doesnt have a tag on the way BECAUSE IT NEVER GOT INSPECTED

I'm sorry how do you go the entire MONTH and not realize the car cannot be legalized because of YOUR mess up!?

So now I have to get it inspected MYSELF and Still wait for the damn car to get inspected. I'm pissed and they don't seem to care that they messed up. Just avoid these people because this isn't the only review I saw about this.

Scam artists in Nashville

Purchased a Lexus at their Nashville location 3 months ago.

First off.. sales person added all of these extended warranties- which have turned out to be absolutely worthless (more on this later), and some paint/dent protection. At the end of the sale, he handed me a permaplate cleaning kit for the interior and exterior of the car, saying “here is your complimentary gift for being a valued customer”

I thought, ‘well that was nice of them!’

Turns out that “complimentary gift” cost nearly $600.

I chalked it up to me being an idiot and not looking at the paperwork I signed - even though I was never told about this.

So I get in the car and I notice my rear passenger window tint is all scratched up. I brought this up and the sales manager he said the person taking the sales sticker off of the window scratched the window tinting and apologized. He then said they would fix it. Figured they’d do that right then…. Well, that didn’t happen. Rather, I was told to “go take it to get fixed and then call us when you are at the place and we will pay for it with a credit card over the phone.

Went to go get the window tint fixed, and called the number as instructed. No one answered, so I had to pay for the fix myself. Left a message to get reimbursed. Never heard back from them.

Only 4 days after purchasing the car, it won’t start. Turns out it was a dead/defective battery. When I bought the car, I was told it went through “the same 20 point inspection we do on all of our vehicles”.

Apparently they must have skipped this ‘point of inspection’. Figured a battery would be something that they’d check during the inspection as it seems like a common thing that would go wrong. But I digress.

Whatever. Batteries die. They replaced it for me.

Well after just 3 months of driving, the car dies as I was on my way home, leaving me stranded on the side of the road.

I thought, “well good thing I have the extended warranty. The salesperson said it covers everything, and I’ll be taken care of” so I called the dealership in Nashville. They said I needed to call the warranty company.

I gave the extended warranty company a call expecting them to help. Not at all the case. I was told that I’d have to call a tow company myself, and depending on who I use, they may reimburse me up to $100.

I asked the lady ‘well who do I use so I can make sure I get reimbursed?’

She responded, ‘well I don’t see any tow companies in your area, (which is odd because not once did she ask me where I was) so you’ll have to find one on your own, but save your receipts, so you can submit a claim for possible reimbursement’

At this point I’m just beyond frustrated, and stuck on the side of the road because of a broken down car I JUST purchased 3 months ago from them. But complaining isn’t going to change my situation so I asked “well where do I tow my car to in order to get it fixed”.

The lady responded, “you can take it to an authorized repair place, and depending on where you take it, we can cover the costs of the repair”

I told her I need some authorized repair places near me and she said, “well just a licensed shop around you, I don’t have a list”

Frustration.

I then asked about a rental car, as I was told by the sales person that this “complete car coverage” also covered a rental car….

The lady on the phone said, “depending on the situation, and which car you rent, we may reimburse you up to $40 a day for up to 10 days for a car rental”

At this point, I’m beyond pissed. Getting absolutely NO help from Echo park or the warranty (that I paid thousands of dollars for)…. So I call Lexus directly.

They immediately send a complimentary tow truck, who picks me and my car up and takes us to the Lexus dealership directly. Once there, they work on getting me a loaner car, and tell me that since my car has only 30k miles, my repairs will likely be covered by the manufacture warranty.

Lesson learned. NEVER… and I mean NEVER buy car from EchoPark. And if for some reason, you feel the need to…. for God’s sake REFUSE the extended warranties( Which they won’t even tell you about, and will just try to sneak in on you). These warranties are absolutely worthless and a complete waste of money.

I can’t speak for all EchoPark locations, but the Nashville dealership is shady and horrible. I will tell everyone I know to avoid it like the plague.

This is a year review.

This is a year review.
After needing a state inspection, the OBD port had power but not able to scan any information to computer, so I called up the platinum insurance they insisted I buy to cover any cost in case of any failures costing me 3200.00. Took in into dealer they found the problem It was missing the gateway module (I guess it grew legs and ran off). Insurance did not cover it because it was missing. Went to Echo Park to see what could be done.... Exactly nothing.
Since the check everything to ensure good quality. So, I had to cough up 500.00 to fix problem God know what else is missing hopefully nothing else Learn from my experience and take a scan tool to insure everything is good and don't buy the insurance. Waste of money. So, they have lost a customer that has bought 2 vehicles and sold one for the merry 500. 00..

My first hybrid experience or not

The car i wanted to test drive was a bmw hybrid. When the car was pulled up and I opened the door, it was very filthy. It looked like it just came from someone garage. The high voltage battery was discharged so i cannot test the electric part. The overall car was not presentable and prepped to be sold. The salesman told me that all i need to do is have it detailed and i should be good to go.
In my book, car should be detailed and presentable when you’re selling it from a dealer, specially a BMW that cost $27k.

Worst experience buying a car so far

Worst experience buying a car so far. Before doing the purchase order I already had questions unanswered. And now that I did the purchase order 3 days ago I don't know what is the status of the process. I just received the purchase order and shipping invoice but I don't know if the car was shipped already, when I have to pick up the car, what is the status of the loan. I asked yesterday what was the estimated time and what was the next process and I haven't received any information. I guess I shouldn't continue with this when I had the first questions unanswered. I guess I should not continue with this but then I will lose what I paid for the shipping fee.

Car confirmed that it was available and a confirmed appointment and then shafted.

Inquired to confirm availability of a certain vehicle. Was told that it was available. I set an appointment to see it. Drove 2 hours to the dealership in Cary, NC. When I went into the dealership... there was a nice "Welcome (my name)" to greet me sign. I check in at desk only to be told that the car I was to see had been sold. So frustrating. I give them 2 stars only because at least they filled up my Jeep with gas and gave me a $50 gift card.

Echopark Charlotte liars and cheating

The Charlotte NC location first discriminated against me and sent me away saying they don't use my credit union. I found that my credit union is one of their banks by calling sales. I went back, my credit was ran and they seen my credit score was excellent. I purchased the car I wanted . The car was totalled and I found that they changed the rate higher than I was told that my bank offered me. Now im getting the run around to get a refund for the service contacts that was purchased. Their customer service sucks. I will never go there or refer anyone to this location.

Wasted my time today trying to buy a car. Was told I could pay with debit card and the provide them with the pin. First they said I did not need the card in my hand and that I could provide them with the debit card and the pin(have never heard of anyone ask for the pin-even banks mail it as confidential). Then they wanted me to buy an extended warranty and when we said no they said that we like to gamble. They proposed we should buy a car that's cheaper so that we can afford the warranty money. They gave us 3 estimates and each were different. Please clarify before you go to them about the mode of payment and if extended warranty is mandatory. This was the location in Baltimore.
