EchoScrib recording and transcription
I’m sharing my experience with the EchoScrib recording and transcription device to help other potential buyers make an informed decision.
The device initially worked as expected, and I was satisfied with its recording and transcription features during early use. However, after approximately 14 recordings, the device stopped connecting and became unusable. Multiple attempts to reconnect and troubleshoot were unsuccessful.
I repeatedly contacted EchoScrib support for assistance. Unfortunately, each response simply quoted the same policy rather than offering any technical help or investigation. Their stated policy is:
“According to our policy, any claims regarding orders must be submitted with sufficient supporting evidence within 07 business days from the delivery date.”
There appears to be no meaningful warranty beyond this short window. Because the failure occurred after this period, I was offered no repair, replacement, or resolution—despite the device having failed very early in its life and under normal use.
For a paid hardware product, I find this level of customer protection and after‑sales support to be extremely limited and disappointing.
I strongly recommend that prospective buyers carefully consider the warranty terms and support limitations before purchasing.
