waste of time - you must be on some sort of benefits to apply - being a pensioner doesn't count

Disaster! The cavity wall insulation they installed had blown up over an open wall cavity and filled the edges around the whole loft blocking air circulation.

It took months of ignored phone calls, messages and emails as well as the associated stress this has caused before I managed to catch John to sort it. And John even asked me to delay the inspector who was due out in two days, as it would have failed the job. He asked me to tell the inspector that I was away for a couple of weeks.The inspector hasn’t seen it yet! Wish I hadn’t lied for him and this would probably have been a failed job.

Eventually the team arrived and tried to clear it. They got half the job done but the hoover broke so had to come back again (more stress).
When they had eventually “finished” and left the property, on closer inspection of the state they left my loft in AFTER dealing with it is outrageous. There’s now blown bead ALL OVER the loft, when it was only around the edges! Also, the holes in the external wall where they installed the insulation, some of the cement they used to fill the holes is loose and falling out. They were supposed to correct this and didn’t. I think I need legal advice. I’m at my tethers end about this.

Very dodgy company. Booked a survey with them to replace my boiler, upgrade my insulation etc.
They made three appointments to do a survey. They didn't turn up for the first two and were very late for the third.
Then a few days later I got a phone call to say they were coming to install cavity wall insulation. When I asked for a written statement of what work they were actually going to carry out I was told they didn't put anything in writing, it was all done only by phone call!
I insisted on having SOMETHING in writing and the guy said he would send me an email. Of course no email arrived and that was the last I heard from them.
