Big fan of the Eggs

Just didn’t work for me
Sorry but the eco egg fridge disc just didn’t work for me. Certainly didn’t help keep veg fresh past their sell by date, which was what they lead you to expect.
My reply from them was sorry I was disappointed but basically I must have been doing it wrong and the disc was only there to support freshness

Apologies if you read our response that way. We replied to you with the below as we have lots of happy customers who love our fresher for longer discs, so we just wanted to explain how to best use them and how they work:
"The discs are designed to absorb ethylene gas, which fruit and vegetables naturally release as they age. By reducing ethylene levels in the fridge drawer, they help to slow the ripening process. However, they won’t completely prevent natural spoilage, mould, or colour changes.
Factors such as how fresh the produce was when purchased, moisture levels in the drawer, storage conditions, and fridge temperature can all significantly affect how long items last. For example, carrots can develop mould if condensation is present, and tenderstem broccoli may naturally begin to yellow after several days even under good storage conditions.
Using one disc per drawer and ensuring good air circulation can help achieve the best possible results, but the discs are intended to support freshness rather than stop deterioration entirely"

I bought this product to try as it was on offer what a waste of money it makes your clothes stink and doesn’t get them clean so I threw it in the bin the biggest con on the market and worst laundry product ever produced my advice to anyone thinking of buying it don’t

Ecoegg DO NOT USE ALL NATURAL FRAGRANCE. Just to save you hours of searching for the information this is what they replied by email when I asked them-
“Our fragrances are a blend of essential-oil components and carefully selected high-quality aroma compounds”
High quality aroma compounds are the exact same thing that you’ll find in Persil or Ariel which is fine if you’re ok with that but they are consciously misleading you to cash in on people wanting the eco friendly option. Personally I don’t like being conned ..

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Yes you are correct in that we don’t use fragrances made solely from pure natural oils as these would be highly irritant to many people. We don’t state anywhere that our fragrances are made purely from natural oils (though they do contain a percentage of natural oils).
Instead, we correctly state our fragrances have been specially developed to be as low irritant and low allergen as possible, suitable for the most sensitive skin conditions and dermatologically tested, rated excellent for sensitive skin which we’re very proud of. Also, all of our fragrances are non-harmful to aquatic life. We have not seen a mainstream laundry detergent with these credentials.

Great washing and great for those with allergies
I have noticed that my clothes aren't holding onto soap residue. The first couple of washings show the soap left in my clothes, but now there is no residue to come out in the next wash. Also it has been wonderful for my allergies.

Uncompromising quality and value
I've been using the eco egg laundry for 6 months now. It is quite simply fantastic. It gives a great wash and leaves laundry outstandingly clean. Price per wash is equivalent to supermarket own brands and half of other green laundry solutions. I was so impressed I bought one for my friend, who is also impressed with the product. Customer service is also excellent and replied to my email in 24 hours. A commited customer for life.

Light staining remains after a wash
Doesn’t clean clothes as well as usual detergent on a 40 degree cycle for 59mins. Light staining still shows after a wash. No fragrance either. Have had to think of eco hacks to add fragrance and have purchased some oxi stain removal boosting powder today to add to future washes. I have used these eggs, white and colour, for about 4 months now.
Best thing is how clean the drum is now, and the detergent tray. Cleanest it’s ever been.

On stains, Ecoegg is designed for everyday laundry, but for tougher marks we usually recommend a little pre-treatment (just like with traditional detergents). Many customers also like to pair the Laundry Egg with an oxygen-based stain remover. We do recommend use of our Detox Tablets regularly – these deep clean the machine and pipes, removing residues that can affect both performance and fragrance.
Our Fresh Linen and Spring Blossom versions do add a light scent, but if you prefer a stronger fragrance you can safely use a fabric conditioner or a scent booster alongside Ecoegg.

Bought a laundry egg at the Allergy…
Bought a laundry egg at the Allergy Show a few months ago. What a lovely product bought from genuine people who said they also struggled with allergies which is why they developed this. Promised I’d leave a review after trying on my toddlers forever mucky clothes. It has worked as well as my previous detergent on cleaning but the main thing for me is that it definitely seems to have helped with his eczema which makes it worth every penny and actually it’s cheaper than I’m used to paying! Very happy, thank you x

Was sceptical 🤨 to start with ! I have 3 boys in including one baby who recently start eating food … well honestly works brilliantly. I do not put 5 stars only because I found out stain remains at 30 degrees wash so need a pretty high temperature cycle of minimum 40 to be very efficient and also because it does not really smells anything.

You’re absolutely right that for tougher stains, a 40° cycle (or a pre-treat) can sometimes give better results. Our formula is designed to be gentle, so it may not always lift every stubborn mark at 30°.
On fragrance, Ecoegg uses a light scent rather than a strong chemical perfume – many customers find it a refreshing change, though it can take a little adjustment if you’re used to stronger detergents. We also recommend giving your machine a detox before first use, as hidden residue from old detergents can affect both cleaning power and fragrance.

I recently had a little problem with the scented sticks dropping out of the dryer balls during use in the tumble dryer. I'd had them for a few years.
Very quickly, ecoegg sent me 2 new eggs with sticks, in the scent I use, free of charge and to Switzerland!
I can recycle the old ones too - win-win!
I have used these dryer balls and their eco laundry egg for some time and have had great results with both.

Great idea and a good product. Lasts through many washes and so it's economical too. I use fresh linen as it seems kind to my skin and the white egg is particularly good for sheets, etc.

2.5 year customer
I’ve used the ecoegg for laundry for 2.5 years now as well as the washing tabs - I found this very easy to use and good.
I recently ordered the dryer eggs too as I was intrigued by the idea of shorter dry times, softening the laundry and leaving it more fragrant - one of the nodules on the eggs was damaged (like a tear in one of them) after the first use - so I contacted their support team who immediately sent out a replacement.
So not only am I very pleased with the products themselves, the customer service I’ve experienced so far has been outstanding.
