Extraction and installation went well. Nick and Steve were always polite, helpful and informative during installation. They worked continuously and efficiently and cleaned up well afterwards. Excellent job. Thank you.

Great customer service

From the initial survey to installing the insulation everything was well explained about the benefits of the cavity fill and how the installation is undertaken. On the day of install the guys, Nick and Steve, turned up on time, were polite and again explained what access they required and how they would be undertaking the work. Left to it, they worked continuously and were done in a little over 3 hours and had made good and cleared up any mess before they left. Thanks guys - looking forward to reduced heating bills next winter!

Excellent service

Even though there was a mix up with the dates, Nick and John were able to crack on with the drilling and extraction in my absence. They were very prompt and quick and left the place clean and tidy. They were very neat flling the holes too. Very impressed.

Very professional service

Very professional service. Survey was completed within a week, no pressure sales pitch, quote within 24hrs and works booked with 2 weeks. Engineers on the day were very polite and tidy. Explained all the works and made an excellent job of masking the holes.
Noticeable difference over the subsequent weeks.
I got multiple quotes for the work and ECO Homes were the best value.

Cavity wall insulation.

We were given a date of the 5th January, so straight after Christmas. The weather was very cold so I didn’t expect them to come. But they did and they worked like troopers. Completed the job in 4 days despite cold conditions. Really pleased with the work carried out.

Great job

Not had cold enough weather yet to be able to review the actual product, only time will tell on that. Hopefully it will also help to keep the house from getting too hot in the summer as well.
As for the installation I have no complaints. Nick and Steve were polite and friendly and turned up with enough time to complete the work even though they were running a bit behind schedule, apparently they have a lot of travelling to do between jobs. The work was done efficiently and with no mess left behind. They were very accommodating in carrying out the job especially on one side of the house with limited access so they did that part from inside the loft which wasn't the easiest due to the small size.
All in all very pleased, only issue was the time slot got changed a couple of times but it wasn't a problem as I was home all that week anyway.

Immense improvement

Lee and Shane from Eco Home installed the cavity wall insulation. They were tidy, clean and afterwards you could hardly tell that they had drilled any holes to fill the cavity. Amazing work thank you.

Quality service

I recently had external wall insulation fitted on my property by EcoHome UK, which was completed November 10th and the service was excellent from start to finish.
I have to give special credit to Peter, whose communication and professionalism were great throughout the entire process. He kept me updated at every stage, explained everything clearly, and made sure the installation ran smoothly. His friendly, knowledgeable approach really put me at ease.
After reading a previous negative review, I honestly felt it didn’t reflect my experience at all. Based on the high level of service I received, I can only assume there was some misunderstanding, or issue with the customer, because everything from communication to workmanship was carried out to an extremely high standard.
The installation team worked efficiently, kept the area tidy, and the difference in warmth in my home is already noticeable.
I highly recommend EcoHome UK, for anyone considering external wall insulation. Professional, reliable, and genuinely great to deal with.

This was an awful experience and were it not for a lot of interventions this would have been a really shoddy piece of external wall insulation. If they install EWI you will have to do all your own quality control. I’m a building surveyor so knew what to look for but otherwise it would have been a very inadequate job and I am in no doubt I’d have had problems with damp and mould by now.

This company has no idea about customer service. They lie, never tell you what they’re doing and are generally unhelpful. They took four months to complete what they said would be a one week job. It was clearly going to take at least 3-4 weeks but Peter tells you whatever he thinks will make his life easier. In fact the job took them four months.

Peter also gave my neighbour a quote for EWI and also told him it would take one week. He told me that I could be without a toilet for up to three days because he wanted to start the work whilst I was on holiday. However, he told my neighbour that they could put in a temporary arrangement so the WC would only be out of use for a few hours. So take anything he says as untrue. I see that other reviewers have also commented on Peter’s flexibility with the truth.

The first operative to turn up searched around in my kitchen for mug, tea bags etc. and made himself a cup of tea without asking. He also refused to talk to me so I had to email the office to find out what was going on. He decided not to insulate up to the middle of the party wall despite this being agreed with the surveyor who first came round. But of course he didn’t tell me this, so I had to spot it myself. There then followed a long stand-off before it was resolved. I can’t believe they were so gung-ho about this crucial construction detail, given the well reported problems with thermal bridging and mould on party walls.

They clearly had more important jobs to do so there would be weeks when someone would turn up late afternoon to do a quick job then nothing.

They trashed my garden and didn’t ask where to put rubbish – just left it where it was most convenient for them. When I asked them to remove it I was told “they were saving the environment by not removing it more regularly.” What a convenient excuse.

I noted in another review that no-one at Eco-Homes ever apologises for anything, this is exactly my experience.

I had to get them back on numerous occasions, including:

• Remove and replace a section of wall insulation which had been installed incorrectly (Peter insisted it was fine until I started quoting technical guidance to them)
• Re-lay loft insulation that had been trashed by the electrician fitting new fans
• Adjust the rainwater pipe that was discharging onto the new render instead of into the drain (three attempts to get that right)
• Re-do sections of the render top coat where the kitchen waste was too close to the wall and there was a section of missing render
• Extend the boiler discharge pipe because it was too short (two attempts at that)
• Repair and eventually replace a section of leaking soil pipe (three attempts at that)
• Apply sealant that they’d missed around doors and windows
• Test and commission the extract fans (again Peter insisted they didn't need to until I started quoting regulations)

I agree it’s important to get the facts correct for readers, but their response contains factual errors.

The extended duration was caused by:

I didn’t decide mid-project to overclad the party walls – it was agreed with the estimator when he came to do the quote. This is good practice to reduce the risk of cold bridging at junctions and I would expect all EWI installers to do this. EH overclad the left party wall without obtaining a party wall agreement and without me having to ask them to do it. The builder decided not to do the same on the other side but didn’t tell me. Fortunately I noticed. Work stopped on 28 April to resolve the problem, the signed agreement was delivered to EH on 2 May (i.e. 4 days lost).

The demand to insulate past the boundary line of the customers property onto both neighbours walls came after scaffolding was up. We completed this additional work for free.
EH did the left party wall without being reminded. The right side wasn’t additional work - the op decided not to do it. Scaffolding wasn’t altered to accommodate this “additional” work.

A 16-day period when the customer was abroad and explicitly stated there would be no access.
This holiday was from 16 July - ie 3 months after the work started. It’s not unreasonable to think that the job would have been finished by then.

We never stated the job would take “one week”.

The extended duration was caused by:

A 16-day period when the customer was abroad and explicitly stated there would be no access and repeated restricted availability before and after her holiday.

The demand to insulate past the boundary line of the customers property onto both neighbours walls came after scaffolding was up. We completed this additional work for free.

All snagging items were resolved. Loft insulation was deliberately pulled back to run electrics and was fully replaced and topped up free of charge.

Rubbish was placed in a designated area at the rear of the small mid-terrace garden (no access) to minimise trips through the house.

We hold the dated correspondence and are happy for any independent party to review it. The installation was completed to specification, independently signed off, and all guarantees and commissioning documents were provided the moment final payment cleared.

We remain very proud of the finished job have had many compliments of the high standard of finish

Nick and Steve the guys who insulted the house walls

The guys arrived on time. Some of the equipment didn’t. Nick and Steve contacted me straight away, whilst waiting. Then explained their procedure of drilling two rows of holes and then injecting the polystyrene.
They tried to blow away the drilling dust…. They finished
And said goodbye.
It does make a difference to be treated with respect and explanations.

Professional and Quick

Luke & John were super efficient, polite, friendly and quick with the work only taking two hours. We didn't have to move anything in the garage and they worked around us which was a great help.

All in all professional and excellent service all round.
