Do not use this company! there is no support when things go wrong. They took my booking and money but had no cars... I am now in day 7 of trying to get a response from them . On calling they said there were cars available, yet I have it in writing from enterprise that there was nothing...

11 days on , no means of contacting support except thro forms to which there is never a response.
it looks like a small claim....

I ordered a Jeep with navigation system.
Got a regular car without a navigation system.
It has been 2 months since I complained. And still - Nothing!

I rented a car through economybookings.com. When I arrived, the car was not available. I was forced to rent another vehicle on the spot at my own expense. Since then, I have tried to get my money back. Their customer service first replied extremely slowly and has now completely stopped responding.

This company is nothing but a scam. I will be reporting my case to consumer authorities in Denmark and Latvia.

Unfortunately, I have now discovered that my experience is not unique. Thousands of customers worldwide describe the same pattern:

No refunds or only “vouchers” instead of money

Hidden fees and extra charges at pick-up

Terrible or non-existent customer service

Prepaid bookings where no car is provided

Summary: EconomyBookings operates with deceptive practices, takes people’s money without delivering cars, and then refuses to issue refunds. Ratings across platforms are consistently terrible.

When we arrived, the rental car company would not give us a car; and, since we arrived on the day to pick up the car, we were past the cancelation deadline, so EconomyBookings told us there was no refund. Do not book with them - they are corrupt and not based in the US. When you call customer service you just get send to people who read from a script in India.

I booked a car through EconomyBookings and selected a Mitsubishi Eclipse, but when I arrived at the Green Motion rental office in Christchurch, I was told they received a voucher for a Suzuki Swift—completely different from what I reserved. I was then told the Mitsubishi Eclipse wasn’t even part of their fleet.

I had to pay an extra $90 to upgrade to an SUV, just to get a vehicle. I raised a complaint with EconomyBookings on March 29 and followed up on April 1. I was told it would be resolved in 7–14 business days. As of April 20, I’ve heard nothing back.

The lack of communication and accountability has been incredibly frustrating. I don’t recommend using this platform if you want reliable service or timely customer support.

I wish I had checked this before I booked with these people. Don't use them!! If you want to extend your booking, they cannot do it and ask you to contact the rental car company that the booking is with. In this case it was green motion at London Heathrow. They wanted to charge me 200 GBP extra for three extra days when my booking was 17 GBP per day. Be aware that they charge in Euro so you will get a hefty foreign transfer fee on your credit card. I have also spent 1 hour and five phone calls to Latvia to cancel this booking - they make it unbelievably complicated. I just hope they are quick with the refund because I am totally fed up with this company. The operator in Latvia was very helpful and spoke English very well - that was the only good thing about this company.

Car hire company blatantly ripping people off with their add on insurance, I refused to buy the insurance as is my right and walked away.
Economybookings couldn't care less about myself nor the fact that the car hire company were scamming people.

RUN AWAY FROM THEM.
I reserved a car with them.
Once I got to the rental place, they said there was no car available and that they had cancelled the booking. However, I didn't get any cancellation notice or the charge got reverted.
After opening a case with their support and waiting more than a month, they made false claims and refused to revert the charge.

Warning: AVOID AT ALL COSTS

This company is completely untrustworthy and steals money from every booking.

Cross border charge changed by 50 Euros without any explanation against my copy of booking condition. Waited 90 minutes to collect in a queue.
Company was RecordGo Barcelona Airport.

At the time of booking, there was nothing about Canada and US customers not being eligible to get car collision waiver (extra insurance). But, they will let you choose this option and pay for this insurance. If you want to cancel within hours of booking, they will charge you 65 Euro cancellation fee!
Total scam!

DON'T use this company. I booked a car for pick in the USA and I'm a UK resident so it comes with CDW. When I picked the car up there was no insurance and I had to pay £639 to the rental company. Trying to get answers from this company is like pulling teeth. You have been warned

I rented a car, but I didn't get the car because my credit card has a "weird" letter on my surname (Noreña), they didn't give me the car and they also have my money, I've been trying to contact them for 2 months and nothing happens.

The car hire company never showed with the car.
I rented a car in August 2020 in Dalaman Airport. But they never showed. Because I forgot to put the flight number, I was waiting until 7pm that was the time I told them ill arrive.
I tried to call, it was a premium number, they did not speak English.
I tried to claim my money back and I could not get through to anybody.
My bank had to process the refund.
I Think is a scam. pay £20 extra and go somewhere else.
