Payment stated is not what you will actually pay
For international travel, the amount quoted is not what will ultimitely be charged! Book directly so you know what you will be truly charged. No customer service with Economy Bookings to make matters right!
I did get a response from them, but all the response said was exchange rates! The issue has absolutely nothing to do with exchange rates! I will never use Economy Bookings again!

If the reservation was billed in one currency and your card settled it in another, the amount on the statement can land differently even when the booking price itself hasn’t changed. Avoid this rental company at all costs
Avoid this rental company — they took our money and left us stranded
Our flight to Italy was delayed by approximately two hours. The rental company had our flight number, so they could see exactly when the flight landed and knew that the delay was completely outside our control.
Despite this, when we arrived, they had cancelled our reservation and refused to provide us with a car. They offered no meaningful assistance, left us stranded, and then refused to refund the money we had already paid.
This is unacceptable treatment of customers. We provided our flight details specifically so the company could track delays, yet they ignored that information, kept our payment and abandoned us upon arrival in a foreign country.
A reputable rental company would either hold the vehicle, offer a replacement, or at the absolute minimum refund the customer. This company did none of those things.
I strongly recommend booking elsewhere. A company that knowingly keeps your money after failing to provide the service you paid for cannot be trusted.

Sharing the flight number should have helped with timing, but a delayed flight doesn’t automatically keep the vehicle available unless the supplier has confirmed that arrangement in the booking terms.
If the desk treated it as a no-show, that’s the process they used, even if the delay was outside your control — which is why the refusal and the lost payment feel so unfair. Deposit Never Refunded 3 months later still waiting
Everything was good at the beginning with booking online and with the local car rental company but then I never received my deposit back 3 months now since I returned the car and the car rental company emailed me to say they are unable to assist further and contact the bank because I should not have been charged. My advice is to be careful with the local car providers and follow up on your deposit ASAP because it can go un noticed if you put your trust in people that the transaction was not charged and would be refunded. And Economy Bookings will not assist in the end because it was from a 3rd party. This was the first time I rented a car btw.

Three months after returning the car and still waiting on the deposit is a frustrating stretch, especially on a first rental. If the local car rental company has emailed to say the amount shouldn’t have been charged, that usually means the card side needs to check whether it was still a pre-authorisation or a payment that was actually captured. Deposits are handled under the supplier’s process, and a charge that was posted in error is something the bank can trace. If you want the booking looked at against the supplier’s note, our support team via the Help Center can review it.
