I would highly recommend Edinburgh Audiology Rehab. My mum was almost completely deaf caused by a blockage of ear wax. Due to covid, the GP couldn’t syringe her ears and she was miserable. I contacted EAR and Dawn immediately got back in touch and very quickly arranged a home visit. She was so kind and professional and completely restored mum’s hearing and also came back for a follow up. Really excellent service.

Visited EAR with some trepidation but was immediately put at my ease. The professional expertise of both Bev and Dawn gave me the confidence to proceed with hearing aids. What a difference all round! What impressed me most was the fact that the well-being of the client is at the centre of the discussion, not the desire to sell a piece of equipment. Any questions were answered out of their experience and I have felt able to enter small groups now with the confidence that I can hear the general conversation. Regular contact by email after initial fitting also contributed to a feeling of personal treatment.

I had sudden changes to my hearing and became overly sensitive to background sounds. When I learnt it would be a long wait on the NHS to begin finding out why, I chose to visit Edinburgh Audiology Rehab.
Dawn has such a friendly and reassuring manner which puts you at ease. A very caring knowledgeable professional focussing on the patient's needs. Wasn't the news I'd like to have received but Dawn was very supportive by identifying what was needed to enable me to deal postively with the changes to my hearing.

I recently attended the ‘Ear Edinburgh Audiology Rehab clinic’, I was quite edgy about the whole process prior to my appointment! Without delay, I was taken in and made to feel very relaxed and welcome, by a very friendly and professional audiology team.

After my procedure, the team patiently went through the test report and explained everything clearly in plain English, explaining any big words/medical terms thoroughly and the cause of the problems that had been troubling my hearing/ear issues etc. They also confirmed what could be done to alleviate these issues.

What a great team, an excellent service, solutions, and options for all hearing needs at Ear Edinburgh Audiology Rehab. 100% recommend.

My mum's energy levels have been severely diminished by Labyrinthitis relapses over several years. At some point she started to experience BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo) which was identified by a GP, however the medication prescribed was ineffective. By chance I received a flyer from Edinburgh Audiology Rehab and I contacted Dawn to discuss how she could help. Dawn systematically assessed my mum's condition and agreed with the GP's diagnosis, and recommended the corrective epley manoeuvre with follow-up home procedures. Dawn's follow-on care was very attentive, including checks between consultations, on-going re-assessment of her improvement and a rehab plan. Mum's quality of life is vastly improved, and the comprehensive approach to treatment met her needs. We greatly appreciate Dawn's help and would highly recommend her.

Finally took the plunge to get my hearing checked, fed up being on the outside of conversations and pretending to hear what people were saying, and just nodding in agreement! Contacted EAR at Roslin and had a consultation with Dawn who was totally professionalmfrom.start to finish. All tests and results were explained fully and confirmed what I thought i.e. my hearing was substantailly diminished. Dawn talked me through the options and provided a full written report. Dawn found the best hearing aid for my circumstances, explained the package options avaialble and left me to go home and make a final decision. That I did and arranged a follow up appointent where my hearing aid was fitted and how it worked was fully explained. If you have a problem with your hearing I would highly recommend EAR, made straightforward and put at ease from start to finish. Six weeks down the line, i can fully participate in conversations, hear the television at normal volume levels and feel the decision to go to EAR has improved my quality of life.

My son could not hear properly for a couple of weeks. Doctor said it was wax and prescribed almond oil. After using the oil for a couple of weeks and they were not any better we contacted the Edinburgh Audiology Rehab at Roslin. Dawn was brilliant. My son had both ears vacuumed in about 15 mins and came out smiling. He could now hear properly! Fantastic service and would highly recommend.
