Nick was extremely responsive and arranged our lodgings with short notice and on Good Friday, when everything was closing early. Email Correspondence was prompt and we enjoyed our stay.

I would highly recommend Edlets. Dan and Nick were the only agents that I felt were truly trying to find me a flat that fit all my criteria and they did. They gave a very personal service updating me on events and legislation that were affecting my search.

We just booked a flat in Edinburgh with Edlets for June 2023. They responded quickly to my inquiry, listened to my requests, and gave me a list of possibilities from which to choose. The office called me from Edinburgh (I'm in California), and we booked. Very personal service, friendly, and helpful. Looking forward to our stay!

They went out of their way to find exactly what we were looking for and called me when they found it.
It was great so far.
Poor communication & Rip-off merchants
Booked accommodation via AirBNB and received a message from Edlets asking me to call them to verify booking (this after paying 50% of the booking balance).
Edlets then proceeded to tell me they manage the property but it was no longer available. Poor AirBNB availability management.
Edlets then said they would send alternative properties, which they did 24 hours later. Another booking was placed from a listing they sent through, only for them to take the money, then cancel it 24 hours later.
They've now sent another email with available properties which are between 300% and 500% more expensive.
No wonder there is an EdletsSucks hashtag on Twitter.

We had booked a large accommodation through Eldest for Fringe festival 2020. Covid struck and like most people, we had to cancel. Eldest was holding close to a $1000 of our money. When I asked for a refund they said no because they were losing a lot of money due to cold. I explained to them that we also did short term rentals in the states and also had lost a lot of money. no one could have predicted that and so we refunded every single person and I felt they should do the same. The answer was no again. After 2 more attempts, they finally agreed to let us use the money on our next booking the following year. Of course next year was the same, with them still refusing to refund our money. last year I finally returned to Edinburgh, called them and found a place that we wanted and asked them to book it. they did. Sooo what's the problem, you ask. I got a bill for the rental minus deposit. they then told me that I could only use MY money to pay the deposit and would have to pay the rest of the rental out of pocket. WHAT!? the rental on this particular year was much smaller and the deposit on the last house would have more than covered it. they kept saying I could use it the next time I was in town. Again, I was stunned . they've held my money for 3 years and still won't let me use it for a rental, and as I read in the other reviews there seems to be no organization to catch these thieves and make them reimburse the money. Scotland should do something about this because it makes me leery to rent anymore and leaves a very bad taste in the mouth. I cancelled the rental since I had no intention of encouraging their behavior and to this day, nov 11,2022 they still have retained every cent of our money, THIS IS A VERY BAD COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH. BE FOREWARNED.
