You can find cheaper Made-In-China caps for less than the postage.

I purchased what was advertised as a Heritage Wool cap, regular price $252. Not sure who would ever pay that much for a cap, but postage was around $40, so it seemed worth the gamble.

Shipping was fast, and while the "Made in China" tag was disappointing, it wasn't really surprising. What was surprising was the other side of the tag saying this so-called woolen cap was actually a cotton/polyester blend.

I emailed the company right away to complain about this discrepancy. Their prompt response was to remind me the hats were a promotional item, free with postage. It was only after my third email, suggesting they edit their copy to accurately describe the product, that they said "We’ve noted your suggestion regarding the wording and will pass it along to our team for review."

I am fluent enough in corporate-speak to understand that to mean "Sorry you shelled out $40 for something resembling an authentic wool cap made in the Dales, and we have no intention of changing our ad copy."

This is a scam where they send a trash…

This is a scam where they send a trash product that was advertised as quality and "going out of business", with shipping rates that match regular prices.

I fell for it.

DON"T!!!!

Surprisingly a package DID arrive after 2 weeks, however the product is not as described. Tags clearly state products are made in China, not made by hand and not from the UK. Fabric content is (1) cotton/poly advertised as wool on website, (2) unlabelled "ultra suede" fabric advertised as Hereford leather blend on website, and (3) 30% wool/70% poly advertised as wool on website. Wool advertised is actually 100% polyester.

Product Not As Advertised; Website Misleading

After reviewing spam sites I became concerned that I had been scammed after making a purchase. Retail prices on website are grossly inflated for the quality of each item. Shipping from Illinois was exorbitantly priced at over $80 to a neighboring state, shipped as one flat mailing envelope.
