I'm mechanic that carried out test on my own vehicle and honestly couldn't believe the difference in bottom end power delivery aswell as less smoke.

We have had the system now around 6 months and the customers who take this up all report only positive things. All our staff have had their cars treated so tells the story. My personal car added 8mpg and was much quieter to drive.

I'm usually sceptical of these sort of things but logically couldn't see why the oil cleaning process wouldn't work or at least be worth trying. Motor-Tech Automotive in Essendine\Stamford have looked after both my cars and van for years and been great so I trusted their opinion when it came to changing the oil on my 2008 Transit van recently using their new EDT machine.

I work funny hours so my partner picked my Transit up in the afternoon. Normally I could take the wheels off a vehicle before she drives it (her words!) and she'd struggle to notice the difference but even on the short drive home she said the van was quieter and smoother. I drove it the next day and honestly, I'm staggered. Just idling to warm up is quieter and no sign of hunting like before. Others have said their engines are much smoother low down but mine has benefited throughout the entire rev range. It's​ always felt like it was at it's 'sweet spot' cruising at 72mph on motorways but that's now 80mph and even then it's so much quieter. I'm really surprised by the difference and very, very pleased. Even at the higher cruising speed I am noticing considerably better fuel economy on a long journey I do often.

My first car is in for the process soon.

EDT Automotive spent the morning with us at Motor-Tech Automotive, Stamford.
David and Shaun set the machine up and went through the training program.
No problems at all, very straight forward. Then on to the demo. We used our level 3 apprentice's diesel MG ZS.
Once the detox deep clean process had been completed we instantly noticed it seemed quiet. And continuous running of the engine and re dipping the oil, left us amazed at the clean dipstick read out. Oil so clean it was hard to read the level quickly.
I asked him to drive it home (20 miles) and write a quick review for me, this is what he thought:-

"I hate to agree with that guy (David) but all the words he said i would use to describe my car are pretty much right.
Firstly the idle is much quieter, Its like an extra engine cover has been fitted. Seems Smoother and less harsh.

1-2k rpm to me seems noticeably smoother and quieter. Any thing over 2k doesn't seem to be noticeably different at first, more on this later.

The engine seems to be more responsive particularly noticeable when changing gears at slower speeds and engine speed is low, seems to rev from lower rpm more happier.

I swear gear changing is smoother especially when changing up. As for performance i haven't had any opportunities yet so that'll have to wait. When cruising at 60mph in 5th the engine is around 2,300 rpm. 60mph now sounds to me like 50 and 70 now sounds like 60mph.

All in all the car seems to be more responsive particularly at lower engine speeds, seems quieter at lower engine speeds and idle but cruises along at 70 like it's 60. Well pleased thanks."

My 13 year old diesel Renault ran reasonably well before hand although with the odd flat spot and a pretty clunky sounding engine. My local garage recommended this treatment when I took it in for a service and I was impressed immediately. The engine is a lot quieter. The drive is much smoother and there is much better acceleration, particularly noticeable in the higher gears.

I got in touch with EDT as i were interested in purchasing there machine.
I phoned David and booked a demonstration to view the machine and see the results, as i were quite skeptical about the results.

So we hooked up my 2010 Range rover sport with 90k on it,
The car had a bit of hesitation when setting off from standstill and wasn't responsive or as quick as it should be.

Well lets just say, i feel like i have a brand new car and im really happy with it now, And i will be part of the EDT team with in the next few weeks

I had a vehicle misfuelled and taken to Swansea Tyre Clutch & MOT Centre where they have this machine. They detoxed my van and then my car. BOTH vehicles now drive like new! I thought it was just a gimmick but I was so impressed with my van, I went home and got my wife's car so they could do that too! Will be having this service on any vehicle I own from now on!

2008 Audi TFSI 2.00 Auto. Car needed an oil change so thought if I'm doing that is there anything out there that will clean the the engine and I was happy to find this treatment.

Emailed EDT to find my nearest garage which was Mid Kent Garage Services in Larkfield. The only day that I could do was Saturday. This wasn't a problem. Adam from EDT came at met me there.

Adam allowed me to come and see what he was doing. It's exactly as per the on-line video.

The engine is a lot quieter. The drive is smooth and more responsive going through the gears and when accelerating. From stationary to go seems quicker as well.

Overall really happy with the service. Makes sense to have this done when an oil change is due. It's illogical not to really.

On another note: Adam was really polite and a credit to EDT.

I recently had a demo of the deep clean equipment on my own vehicle.
Was very pleased with the outcome. Smoother, better starting better power distribution and torque.
I have done around 10 treatments since and every customer has been very impressed with the results.

I run East Kent Performance in Kent and specialise in performance cars. I wanted my own BMW 650i engine cleaned because of poor economy and smoke on idle. Well want can I say! what a massive difference to my fuel economy but pick up also. If you are thinking of having this done dont delay. My car was at Mid Kent garage services in larkfield. We had been looking into this machine for some time, and after reading many reviews, articles and looking on forums, we then decided to book a demonstration.
Dave and Shaun came out to us extremely quickly, and we were all very impressed with what we were shown - we repeatedly dipped the oil to see how clean it was!
We decided to become a partner by going ahead with the machine, and before we had even had the demonstration, already we had a customer who wanted to try it out. Shaun and Dave said go for it, and they kindly gave us a brief overview on how to do so.
The customer's car had a flat spot, noisey chain, and poor mpg, so was hoping for any improvement we could make.
He returned to us the next day, to let us know his opinion. He felt it was great, and he'd seen much improvement in the flat spot and mpg, he simply loved it !
You feel with the EDT team that nothing is too much trouble, they are only at the end of the phone.
We had an issue a couple of days ago, (of course it's a "learn as you go along experience"), but the engineer was with us promptly the following day (despite being a 3-4 hour drive away). He got us up and running again with the machine very quickly and the engineer even kindly waited while we did a cycle of the machine to make sure we were all confident in carrying out the treatment.
He chatted to the customer who's car we used, in much detail about everything to do with EDT process, and even followed up with a phone call the next day, simply to see if the customer noticed any difference in the way his car was running ..... what customer service.
We simply can't recommend the team at EDT enough!

When David first approached me to offer me the opportunity to enter into a partnership with EDT, I was at first at first skeptical but after looking at the profit opportunity it presented I was very keen. I haven't been disappointed, there really is no other product or up sell opportunity in the motor trade which offers the level of profit opportunity for the dealer but more than that it offers customers something that they can truly experience.

Had the engine clean done and immediately took the vehicle for a test drive. Vehicle now feels smoother and more responsive.

Firstly if you are reading this as a potential customer then you will not be disappointed by this treatment, if you are interested in a partnership with EDT please read on.
Jackson & Phillips decided to enter a partnership with EDT Automotive after doing some research, talking to David and having a Demo carried out in our workshop.
We were instantly impressed by the variety of of applications for this treatment (it is far from just a service add on). We were and still are even more impressed with the results of the treatment.
Having now carried out 10 treatments we have had amazing feedback ranging from improved fuel economy to smoother drive. We treated a Mini One which was presented to us with an Engine Management warning on and was cutting out, after carrying thorough diagnostics it was clear that the fault lay in the Variable Valve system which is oil pressure controlled, after conversation with the customer it was agreed that an EDT would be the most cost effective place to start with this type of fault. After the EDT was carried out and adaptations were reset on the system, an extensive road test revealed that the fault was no longer apparent and the fault codes stayed cleared from the system.
On the whole very happy with what this brings to our company and looking forward to getting more get feedback from our customers.

My other half and I both had the new EDT treatments on our Hondas at Jackson and Phillips in Leighton Buzzard and the difference is amazing. His, a Civic Type-R, is quicker when warming up, has smoother transition between gear changes and the engine revs more freely. Mine, a 2.2 Civic diesel, is much quieter on start-up and when pulling away, and again, has much smoother transition between gear changes, as well as improved economy. Admittedly, we were very sceptical about the EDT treatment before having it done, but after having seen the changes and improvements ourselves, we would definitely recommend it to others. Really good and will recommend this to anyone. Got this service done on a BMW 5 series diesel. I had lack of power occasionally and a slight lag in power when I put my foot down. Also had a very bad fuel consumption however this has fixed all those problems.
