Ms Jemma Smith was very helpful and thorough. The sessions provided me with invaluable help and advice and aided me in passing the Henrietta Barnett exam. I would recommend her.

I had a very specific request ( dyslexic child, targeting one school for 11+, specific days and tasks…) and they immediately understood and quickly arranged our first tutor, who was an excellent match. The admin is well done and expectations are clear from both sides. Having finished a group of sessions, I have already asked for more.

The Education Hotel offer a unique service with ‘Project based tutoring’.

We wanted our son to develop project-based skills- to understand how to undertake research, evaluate authentic sources, collate results, and write an article.

We employed The Education Hotel to help with University advice. We were very happy. The mentor paired with my daughter was perfect, both in knowledge and personality. We would use them again.

We used The Education Hotel for our eldest daughter who was struggling with a topic in her A level Maths. From the initial email to setting up the tutor we found the company incredibly responsive to our queries and the emphasis on finding the right tutor from a holistic perspective was impressive. Given the excellent service and skills of our tutor our daughter only needed two sessions but we were always aware that both the Education Hotel and the tutor were available if needed. Having a service provided as and when needed is very much appreciated and shows to me that the aim of the company is to have students confident and capable of independent work and not dependent on tutoring. Education hotel is an amazing company who carefully try to understand your needs and assign a tutor that would suit you. I was very pleased with how George prepared my son for the 11 plus interviews. My son felt prepared and confident during interviews. He was able to secure a place in all 8 schools he applied to including the likes of Habadashers, Westminster and Mts to name a few. I also got feedback after each class which enabled me to work on his weaknesses. Thanks for the support.

I have used Education Hotel tutors for a couple of years at varying levels. The tutors are very experienced and Jemma is great at giving the initial guidance before recommending the appropriate tutor. My kids have always had success and achieved the desired objective after their assistance. The tutors assist in entries into top London Schools such as Westminster, St Paul’s, NLCS, Haberdasher’s and others. They also assist with University entrances and interview practice as well. I would totally recommend them. Definitely worth giving Jemma a call and talking through your requirements. A huge thank you to the team!

I wanted to thank you so much for your input. My daughter seems a lot more confident, not just about the subjects she has had tutoring for, but in the way I can hear her speak to others. She has always been very quiet in class, so I think individual sessions have really helped her find a voice. I have also been impressed by Education Hotel generally- you have been able to find good tutors in different subjects very quickly for us, and communication has been great.

Education Hotel have been very helpful in our home education journey. Jemma works hard to find the right tutor, although the 'personal chemistry' requirements of our teenage son for one-to-one tuition cannot always be met. Zoom sessions worked less well for us during lockdown as he was less willing to engage without the 'in person' contact. EH have been good at keeping in touch.

More than just a Tutor, originally needed help with A level Chemistry, has also been instrumental in helping my son organise his study sessions, helpful advice on taking exams and entering further education, tailored very much to the students individual needs.

We learned about Education Hotel when Jemma-Zoe Smith responded to an enquiry I made on a Facebook home schooling page. I was looking for a Maths GCSE tutor for my daughter who had possible Asperger's and had been working on her own but needed more support. She got on so well with Jemma that we asked her to teach Biology as well. We have found Jemma to be an excellent tutor who is very kind, patient and supportive. Due to Covid-19 our daughter has not been able to get predicted grades but Jemma went above and beyond to try and achieve this for her. We can't recommend Jemma highly enough.

The support that we have had from our tutors has been amazing! My eldest daughter was initially struggling with maths and with the help of her tutor she has flourished and grown in confidence and is now planning on doing maths A level. Not only has Jemma supported her with maths, but with all of the sciences too and has mentored her through difficult decisions around sixth form choices and initial thoughts around university. Having Jemma as a well-informed and well connected ally has given us confidence in decisions when so many things are uncertain. My youngest daughter has also worked with Flora to do a fun and engaging project keeping her busy and inspired during lockdown. The approach of all the tutors is professional and engaging. I couldn’t recommend The Education Hotel highly enough.

Jemma helped my son to pass his entrance exams for St Edward's School sixth form in Oxford, tutoring him in Maths and the three sciences, both over Skype and in person. Jemma quickly established the gaps in my son's knowledge due to different exam boards etc, and taught him how to answer questions to gain the maximum marks. Initially reticent about having a tutor, my son instantly warmed to Jemma, and was thoroughly impressed with her style of tutoring and seemingly endless abundance of knowledge across all sciences and maths. She also gave him the confidence to succeed and to aim higher, and I hope he will take that work ethic with him to St Edward's. I wholeheartedly recommend Jemma to anyone looking for a first-rate tutor.
