I submitted an application with…

I submitted an application with ehealth, and have been waiting for a response. I finally received and email 4 days later, only to state my application has not yet been processed. There is NO customer service, and I want to withdraw my application. I will fight this company and will not be paying.

Escam-notsowellcare

I signed up online for wellcare, then after a day I tried to cancel and keep my own plan. Was told I needed to speak to a wellcare agent. He transferred me to one. One that I could not understand very well. Eventually I was told it had been canceled. On 12/5 I decided to make a phone call to confirm only to find it had not been.

DO NOT USE eHEALTH

I came within 24 hrs. of becoming an UNINSURED 80 y.o., with lung issues because of eEALTH, who totally dropped the ball and never contacted me to report my potential Insurer needing more information, DESPITE my 3 phone calls in 31 days to check my status. Randy Rolf recommended a co. that NEVER takes my lung issues and rejected me. I only discovered on my 3rd call (24 hrs before Open Enrollment ended) that I was rejected. I'm reporting them to the State Corporation Commission who licenses them AND to their Corporate Headquarters.
If being insured is important DO NOT USE eHEALTH !!!

EHealth Insurance Agent told me he…

EHealth Insurance Agent told me he looked at the Insurance Plan website and it indicated my Primary Care Doctor was a member of my plan so I signed up for the plan. 10 days later I received a letter from the HealthPlan that my Doctor was not a member of my specific plan!!. Agent did not do his due diligence properly and now I have to start over looking for another plan. Verify anything this company give to you over the phone!!

Was told someone would contact me with…

Was told someone would contact me with regard to their IVR and website malfunctioning when signup. No one did. Absurd lack of customer service. If you call any of the "direct" numbers they give you and they all go to the same number! Was advised that they could not find our information. When you save the enrollment progress it did not save a thing?!?

This company's unethical practices were documented by L.A. Times

I had such a horrific experience with this company trying to take advantage of my mother, an Alzheimers patient, that L.A Times reporter David Lazarus detailed my nightmarish experience in his May 4, 2021 column. Anyone considering doing business with this company should learn about and their deceitful, unethical business practices.

Misleading

Always shows up as the first result when you're trying to find health insurance plans available in your area; says they will show you plans if you give your zip code; never actually shows you plans and prices without trying to get further unnecessary personal information.

Nightmare to try and cancel

Signed up fine, but cancelling through them is a nightmare. Clearly designed to make it difficult to cancel and then charge you after the fact as if you have delinquency payments to make.

Non-existent Customer Service.

I have been trying to remove a plan member for 2 MONTHS now. UHC says to call eHealth and eHealth will not answer any of my calls and when I email them from the email that is on my company profile they say they cannot find it. This is so frustrating.

NEVER USE THEM

After attempting to cancel they kept charging our account. we notified them 20 days earlier and on the last day of the month they said they received It and then proceeded to charge us another 7500.00 auto debited after being informed not to nearly 3 weeks earlier. wee attempted to call several times and not one return call. only an occasional email when they get around to it. the supervisors number on the email signature is bogus as well as I can see why now

Very High Quality Resource

I can’t say enough how happy I have been these last few years purchasing through eHealth’s marketplace. The website is so user-friendly, and it’s always fun to see what my best options are every 6 months. (seriously, I actually enjoy it.) Fees are understandable. It has been top-notch service since day one, and I’m grateful for what they built and continue building.

Wolf in sheep's clothing?

While the health rep seemed very helpful at first, the HMO plan that they convinced us to sign up for, was at best--worse than the regular Medicare my mother had. Not only is coverage for tests, etc. denied time after time, but I found out later on that my Mom could have gotten coverage w/ other health insurance plans at the time when she signed up for what was told was available to her. After reaching to the rep who sold us on the health plan about all the complaints and pains we've had just getting her a decent doctor visit and tests, I've heard NOTHING from the rep AT ALL. Shame on you eHealth! Taking advantage of senior citizens who need legitimate healthcare!
