Project Held Hostage: Einnovention Withholds Crucial Login Credentials
I hired Einnovention (CEO Atif Garewal) for the development of my real estate website project. I have paid thousands of dollars in good faith and even signed a formal Intellectual Property (IP) Assignment Agreement confirming the full transfer of all rights to me.
Despite this, the freelancer has refused to provide crucial login credentials (server, hosting, admin panel, database, code repository).
Furthermore, the project timeline has been grossly exceeded: a project originally estimated at 9 months has now taken more than 19 months and counting.
The domain is registered in my name, and all rights have been formally assigned to me. The refusal to transfer essential ownership access is causing me significant financial and professional damage. I have escalated this matter to Freelancer.com support and my hosting provider, Contabo, and I am prepared to take legal action.
Based on this experience, I strongly advise potential clients to be extremely cautious when considering this company.
Important Note:
Einnovention operates under multiple inconsistent company names (Ltd, LLC, Pvt Ltd), but none appear to have a valid legal registration. They also refused to provide an official invoice with proper company details, which raises serious concerns about compliance and transparency.
