So far this couch is okay, but for the price I had higher hopes. The seat cushions leave much to be desired as they are not nearly as full as shown in pictures. Mine are misshaped on the ends and fabric came terribly wrinkled. For what I paid I should not have to already be looking for replacement cushions.

Item came with defective parts and still have not gotten a replacement for the parts.

Have had this couch for a year now and it’s just bad. It comes apart, not comfortable at all and we can’t sit on it for too long without hurting. The reason we don’t throw it out is because we spent $1000 on it, which it’s not worth that much at all. They sent us software sear cushions and higher back cushions which were literally the same exact things as before. The only reason I gave it two stars was because customer service was nice and responsive, but out $1000 for this couch is not ideal. Highly recommend not purchasing this product.

I like the ottoman. It is sturdy and extremely functional. Our cat has claimed it as her’s.

As someone who moves often, I was so excited to purchase this sofa. I opted for the Small L Sectional, which arrives in 3 boxes. When looking at the directions, they were slightly difficult to follow as the directions are pictures with a short sentence or two under the image. It would be helpful if the pieces were labeled and directions used the corresponding piece label. The instructions made for a frustrating afternoon, but I got it done - with no assistance.
Once the sectional was together, I realized this product is overly hyped. Since it is a sectional, using 3 different units (dynamic sofa, corner, and seat extension), the connections are not as sturdy as one would like a piece of furniture to be. The arm rest connected to the seat extension is loose due to the honeycomb design protruding past the back lining. The corner unit sits awkwardly (wish I could upload a pic to better explain)- it looks as if I stuck a random ottoman in the corner to create the L shape. Back lining doesn't lay flush to the back honeycomb on the dynamic sofa, revealing the honeycomb material when viewed from the side. I even adjusted the velcro three times, still visible.

Overall, I contemplated returning the sectional, but I'm just enough satisfied not to. Besides, one of the boxes was completely torn to shreds and open on both ends when it arrived (thanks UPS). While the connections leave much to be desired, the sectional itself is comfortable and functional for our home.

I loved the fabric on this sofa. Unfortunately, we had a very hard time putting it together. The directions are not clear or complete. Took us an hour to finally figure out how to attach the where and how to put the front fabric on the sofa and it still doesn't look good. The seat depth also does not include the depth of back cushions so it's not as deep as we thought it would be.

We bought it because we needed a sofa in our vacation home ASAP, and everything else we looked at was not available for delivery for 3-12 weeks. I definitely won't be buying from Elephant in a box again and I definitely would not recommend to anyone.

I really like the Elephant in a box couch. It’s a good medium size. The couch is comfortable and fits 3 adults comfortably. I also purchased the ottoman.
I didn’t need any help putting it together myself. The instructions were not great but it’s pretty self explanatory. The ottoman with the couch is very nice. My 300 lb power lifter son also thinks it’s comfortable. My price range was $500-1000 for a couch and I got this one for around $900 including tax and I feel it is a sturdier option vs buying a cheap couch off of Wayfair or the like. I waited for a sale on the Elephant in a Box couch and I feel like I got a fair deal.
The ottoman cover tore along the seam as I was putting it on. So take your time putting that on slowly.

It’s not very comfortable. That’s just my opinion.

The customer service was impeccable. Always so kind and helpful. The couch itself was a little hard to put together. The instructions online differed from the ones sent in the package. But other than that, it is a sturdy couch and comfortable.

Easy to put together! Very comfortable! Nothing else could fit through my basement door but this was perfect!

The couch is comfortable but the parts never fit exactly right when putting it together. It looked uneven in spots and cheap. The first time I went to wash the cushion covers, I could not get them back on without the fabric ripping. I couldn't even get the ottoman cover off to wash it due to the way the cover was made. They sent me a new one for that but I dare not try and take the cover off. All and all I've decided to throw this out after only 6 months due to all the issues. If I could go back in time I would not have purchased this,

Not happy with this purchase. Let’s go thru the issues -

1. It was shipped in a kind of worn out and broken box. When we tried to lift it the box gave way.
2. The fabric looks kind of old. We got the grey color of the dynamic sofa and at places there is a yellowish hue to the fabric.
3. Installation was not as easy as they tell you. It took us a lot of pushing and prodding to get the sofa setup.
4. Instructions could be clearer.
5. Why don't you give a phone no. for customer support in case of any questions?

Had read a lot of good reviews on this but am disappointed.

This is a great couch. I put it together myself in less than 30 minutes. It is quite sturdy and still a little heavy for me. The cushions are the perfect firmness. It is easy to clean. After getting the sofa I added on an ottoman and the extra large back pillows. Those are wonderful!

I waited to write this review until I actually tried out the couch for several months. Unfortunately, once the novelty of this product wears off (it actually is pretty cool) you realize you’re sitting on the most uncomfortable piece of furniture in your house. I really wanted to love our Elephant in a Box but after 6 months or so of trying and hoping it would break in and get better I have come to the realization that it just not going to happen. I’d look elsewhere for a couch in a box.

Elephant in a box is a strong, reliable couch. The support team is excellent and heard my feedback from my product experience, i would buy furniture from Elephant in a Box again! Great experience!

Elephant in a Box offers a lifetime warranty on their products and by gosh they honor it. I purchased a couch almost two years ago and it was starting to look a little worse for wear. I messaged Elephant in a Box Customer Service with pictures and to my surprise, they sent us a new couch. GREAT!! But we still think the old couch was still good and asked to purchase a Chair conversion kit. From reaching out to Customer services to the delivery by DHL. This whole experience has been EXCELLENT!! I can not recommend Elephant in a Box enough!!!!

Couldn’t find important rods in box and replacement parts didn’t arrive for more than a week. Service rep was friendly but shipping was pretty slow

Actually really surprised with the comfort level. And my and my dad set it up. So easy. If we can do it anyone can. Lol.
