I’ll start on a positiHonest Review of Elite Closing Academy: Great Speaker, Flawed Fit for Network Marketersve note
Matt Elwell is a fantastic speaker and coach. He’s sharp, engaging, funny, and really knows how to teach the art of closing. If your goal is simply to become a better closer, you’ll likely benefit from this training.
However, if you’re a network marketing leader—especially in a niche like Enagic—this probably isn’t the right fit.
I brought two of my team members along before joining the Gold Group and specifically asked whether the training was suitable for network marketers. I was assured that someone had made six figures using Matt’s coaching and that he’d helped people sell high-ticket network marketing products like ours. We were told we’d be taught how to do the same.
Ten months in, it’s clear that while the intention may have been there, the system simply doesn't understand network marketing models—especially not the unique structure and customer-education process required in Enagic. Despite repeated requests, we never received tailored guidance, and the coaching didn’t align with our duplication or team-building needs.
More to be aware of:
The online experience is weak. Breakout rooms often don’t function, audio/visual is patchy, and at times we were left sitting around confused.
The in-person sessions carry most of the value—so unless you're willing to travel to their training centre monthly, don’t expect to get your money’s worth.
1:1 coaching with Ned Shakir is excellent. He’s insightful, grounded, and I completely vouch for him. Unfortunately, his calendar is always full—I couldn’t get a session in either April or May.
Now, two things worth mentioning for anyone coming from a diverse background:
The environment is predominantly white English. Coming from cosmopolitan London with a multiracial team, there is a noticeable lack of diversity.
If you’re vegan or vegetarian, especially health-conscious, prepare in advance. Healthy food options are virtually non-existent at the venue or near the venue, so bring your own meals if you want to stay on track.
Summary:
✅ Great if you want to learn how to close deals
✅ Matt is charismatic and experienced
✅ Ned’s coaching is top-class—when you can book it
❌ Not suitable for network marketers looking for team growth or duplication
❌ Poor online training structure
❌ Lack of diversity and cultural awareness
❌ No vegan/healthy food options—BYO meals
Final word: If you're a solo coach or consultant looking to sharpen your closing skills and don’t mind traveling monthly, this could be a fit. But if you're a network marketing leader, or someone looking for inclusive, flexible training that fits modern, diverse teams—this may not be your place.

Having attending a few virtual sessions with Matt and his team, I’ve been totally blown away by his knowledge, ethos and framework. A very easy process to support a successful sales process within any business.
His sessions are engaging and real.
Brilliant Course!
3 day accelerator was outstanding. Matts knowledge on sales and the ECA methodologies work and are well constructed.
Very happy with our current set up :)
