Worst patient transport service

My father had an urgent dermatology appointment which we were unable to take him to as he needed to be transferred from his nursing home to the clinic in a wheelchair. They refused to take him in his own wheelchair because it had not been crash tested. The nursing home then transferred my dad in to a chair that had been crashed tested which other residents had used. They then accused the nursing home of buying stickers to say the chair had been crashed tested on amazon. The nursing home was furious. Its almost unbelievable. We have now had to book to take dad to a private clinic. Usually his partner takes him but she was in Edinburgh at the time of this appointment on 2 July journey reference number i10265403. We will be taking this matter further but wanted to ensure that people know what we've experienced. Its caused my father more suffering when he's so frail. Absolutely disgusting service.

One of the worse service in Europe

AMBULANCE FROM SCOTLAND
One of the worse service in Europe
I’m 63 years old a wheelchair user, 85% of incapacity. Some time ago, they asked you if you will go to the Hospital with a Scort or not. Now they collect you totally alone as a parcel and leave you abandone in the Hospital. I feel totally insecure.
They are not able to copy the system from Spain, France or Germany. If you are in any emergency they waste your time on the phone 15 minutes or more asking stupidities while the patient is dying.
Awful service. Try to avoid to use that horrible service. They say you can go by taxi or look for someone to do the favour to you.
Shameful service.
Thanks them, my health is worth because I have to cancel all my appointments in different hospitals

Fantastic paramedics!

The paramedics that came out to me were just absolutely brilliant. I didn’t feel pushed into doing anything I didn’t want to and they were very open and honest whilst still remaining comforting and sympathetic. Unfortunately I didn’t catch either of their names so I’m unable to do a personal thank you to them… the hospital wasn’t very helpful when I tried to get some more information so I couldn't personally thank them either! Two lovely men - one with 3 children (2 boys a girl I think) and the other has a 7 year old boy! I hope they read this and know who they are! Thank you so much 🙏🥰
