Very expensive and definitely would not recommend it.

Total waste of money and time, only get matched with others who live at the other side of the country. Does not take into account the within 50 miles option I ticked. Ridiculous.

If there was an option that was less than one star, I would defo be going for that. Not got time to go through all its shortcomings, but if someone could tell them that London, and the south coast is actually not within 50 miles of Leeds that would be good! I get the impression most people on there don't for any practical sense of the word, exist, i.e. they have not been active for years. Twice I have paid for a one month subscription, never got near having a date with anyone, not even a pleasant conversation..seems like I am by far the only one to have a rubbish experience, which does make me wonder how the site continues to survive--possibly by putting almost no money into creating a half decent experience for its subscribers, maybe?

I would give this a minus if that was an option. I agree 100% with the previous reviews. It’s beyond terrible.

This is the worst dating site I have been on and that is saying something. They pay no attention to the age/location I requested. I was unable to swipe right or send a smile or navigate for potential matches.
It is outdated and worst of all because of one disgruntled member I got blocked and asked for proof of ID. They also sent notice to the people I had been in contact with, not to give me their bank details.!!!! I was made to feel like a criminal. I immediately sent them what they requested as I have nothing to hide.
There was absolutely nothing in the conversations that I had with other members whilst on the site, to suggest that I had any financial interest in them. It was based on a false accusation.
They should get proof of ID from everyone at the beginning to avoid these problems but no they don't because they are greedy and want the money up front to lock you in. There are lots of scammers out there and they join dating sites easily because there is no request for ID or proof of address which would be so easy to do. Do not join Elite singles, there is nothing Elite about it.

Auto renewal is a joke. No reminder. And take 200 from me without notification and in the middle of the night. I haven’t used the app for Atleast 6 months and don’t have it downloaded on my phone.

Cowboy scammers with their renewal and cancellation approach.
All buried in small print, then they take your renewal (£204 in my case) with no advance warning.

Elite Singles policies on renewal and cancellation are heavily biased in their favour. If you want to cancel, you have to follow torturous links to get to the cancellation link. They have a policy that says that renewal goes ahead if you cancel 7 days before expiry. They are crooked. Auto-renew should be a choice on registration, not automatic with layers of bureaucracy to prevent cancellation.

Their attitude to my complaint was not out of the top-drawer of customer service. They don't care.

Poor matching, with most matches being over 100 miles away, not sustainable for any relationship.
Need to remember to cancel subscription otherwise the reminder does not allow you enough time!

What complete waste of money . £85 down the drain for nothing . The functionality’s rubbish . You can’t search people in your area or see who’s online . You just have to wait until someone matches with you . I’ve had 6 in 6 week and 5 were from miles away from me up north . This dating app is the worst I’ve every had misfortune of joining .

This companys site is poor quality and a total waste of money. Beware of their cancellation instructions which they claim is provided on signing up but is not. As a result have lost £150 because I was threatened with legal action because my account was cancelled before the renewal was due.

Having read all the other totally negative responses on Trustpilot my recommendation is not to touch these shysters with a barge pole. They're only interested in their "money for nothing" ethos. Like many others reviewing here, I wish I had seen all these reviews first.

I know that I'm going to be in the minority with this review, but my experience of Elite Singles was actually very good. Unlike many other so-called dating sites where all of my messages went unanswered, I actually spoke to quite a few nice ladies on Elite Singles, and went on dates with a handful of them. I am now in a relationship with the last lady I met, a lovely Ukrainian woman now living in the UK because of the war.

I'll quickly address some of the common criticisms, and why I think that they're a positive rather than a negative:

Yes, the price of a membership is a little on the high side, but at least this barrier to entry stops the site from being flooded by work-shy, tattoo-covered, attention seeking time-wasters like Plenty of Fish (see my separate review of that site). All of the ladies that I spoke to on Elite Singles were both well educated and employed.

Yes, there is no specific search feature on Elite Singles, which I initially found extremely frustrating. You simply select a range of criteria that you want your partner to have, along with a rating of how important each individual criteria is, and then the site automatically delivers a selection of new matches to you every day. Why do I now think that this is preferable to having a proper search function? Because it prevents the pool of genuine available single women on the site from being flooded by messages from men on a daily basis. This is probably why the response rate to my messages was significantly better than on other sites.

The only real downside is that matches are often quite far away, although this is less of an issue to me as I have a car and don't mind driving. My current partner lives an hour away from me, but we're both open to relocation so this isn't too much of an issue for us. It might be more of a problem for other people who are looking for a match located much closer to their home. Additionally, the site does seem to suffer from a number of fake profiles, although these can usually be recognised by a lack of information on the profile combined with only a single photograph.

Unlike other reviewers here, I haven't had any issues with billing, and I was able to cancel my membership and close my account without any issues, once my partner and I decided that we no longer wanted our information to appear on the site.

Overall then, a much better experience than some other dating sites that I tried, where the quality of women was low and I couldn't get a single response to my messages, however you will still need to send out quite a lot of introductory messages. If you're not committed to spending some time and effort finding the right person for you, then you probably won't have much success here or anywhere else.

I wish I'd read the reviews before signing up to elite singles. It's an appalling dating app, with the majority of men appearing without a photo. Are they even genuine? They shouldn't be allowed on the site without at least one photo. I'm only 2 montha into a 6 month contract, but will try to cancel the renewal now. Much more success with Bumble and Match.

This company STOLE $68 dollars from me and deleted my account right after stealing my money. This is a CRIME! They stole me, never refunded me and they are LYING 🤥 about having “cancelled the payment” but I was charged and never refunded! Law suit on your way thieves! Don’t subscribe it’s a scam!!!

Terrible site, not enough matches for the very high price charged. I cancelled my membership a day before it expired and they charged me for another month. Impossible to contact their customer service and really not worth the money, time and energy.

Would have given 0 stars if I could. Very few matches, even less of whom are local. I am never shown anyone younger than me and the majority are 5 or even 10 years older! And of course you can't free search so you are stuck with what's offered. Many of the people on the site do not have a level of higher education either. I stupidly paid for 3 months so I'm stuck with it. Avoid like the plague!

As everyone says below, this company should not be allowed to trade.

Terrible at matching mostly out of area due to lack of subscribers.

I switch off my profile after a month and then 5 months later had an email to say they'd taken over £200 out of my account with no prior warning and now I can't get my money back.

Asked for a refund as they can see i dont use the account and haven't for months but, no response.
