Multi-Purpose Compost is premium formula compost for all your planting needs. It is enriched with extra nutrients to help you to grow vibrant plants that flower all season long. Our Multi-Purpose compost is ideal for cuttings with roots, potting on plants, container planting, bedding plants and borders. Moisture store granules have been mixed in to the compost which helps to retain water. This prevents evaporation in warmer weather and helps reduce your watering frequency. Added peat improves the soil and offers aeration and drainage. It is suitable for a wide range of plants including fruits, vegetables, herbs, bedding plants, perennials, shrubs, trees and much more! Before planting, work your hands through the compost and mix well while wearing gloves which helps to break down any lumps that have formed. Keep your container plants well watered, particularly during dry weather, your soil should be moist but not soaking. Avoid over watering as this can drain away nutrients. The compost is suitable for use all year round, however if you have any freshly planted container plants, protect them if there is a chance of frost using a frost fleece.
