This is a terrible rip off company. They advertise as being London based, with a London address, but in fact the company is based in China. The dress I ordered arrived late, and when it did arrive, it looked nothing like the dress advertised. The fabric was cheap and nasty and it was poorly made. I requested a refund, and was advised that they could swap the dress for something else, I said I wanted a refund, which they do offer on their website, but was told they would only refund 30%, and I would have to post back to China, which was going to cost me nearly £30. I went back to them and they then said they would refund me 50%, obviously I still was not happy, but as the cost of postage was so much, I agreed. They said they would refund me in 5 to 10 days, but no refund came. I contacted Paypal to make a complaint, and oddly they have rejected my complaint, I have appealed and they are still finding in favour of Ellrae, which I find bizarre. So it looks as though I won't be getting any of my money back. I will keep on trying, but having read some of the other reviews here - I don't feel confident.

Such a bad company. Ordered a couple of dresses nearly a year ago and still trying to get my refund!! Dresses were so cheep and nothing like the pictures

Awful dress quality, Awful customer service. I couldn't get a full refund, had to pay a very expensive shipping to China and the parcel was never collected by their staff and returned back to me in the UK and still no refund.

Poor quality clothing, extortionate return to China, still no refund since May 2025!

I was sent the wrong dress in the summer I wanted a refund and after so much going back and forth I agreed to 50% STILL WAITING!!!!!!!! I have reviewed this company before when trying to get my refund please do not waste your money they are not in London they are in China

Absolute trash! KEEP AWAY AND NEVER BUY from this company. I lost over £50 for an item that did not look at all like on the photos. I returned it to China and paid £12 for it, no one received it and 3 months later it came back to me as uncollected.

Same experience as many others- I paid £90 for 2 dresses from ell Rae London- obviously not a London company returned them to China an extra £20 and after months of waiting they were sent back to me !! Surprise surprise I cannot get them to respond to my emails!!!

Avoid buying anything from this company! Ellrae of London is actually based in china!! Wanted to return several dresses and they kept trying to give me a discounted refund if I kept them!! They didn't fit me! Eventually after asking several times they sent me a return form. Posted back to them at a cost of £30 so it would be tracked. It has sat since 28 July at their customs in China! I've emailed them twice now attaching a copy of my postage and a snapshot of the post office parcel tracker asking them for a refund as there is evidence I have retained the goods to them. Can't believe companies exist like this and allowed to operate! I'm currently £118 out of pocket!

Absolutely shocking website. Paid £50 for a dress that just looked cheap. I paid £20 to return it back in July, it’s now middle of sept and still no refund. Avoid at all cost. Complete scammer!!!!!

This company has defrauded me and many others by the looks of it.

They gave me a fake address to return the item to in China. So I paid an extra £15 for this on top of £90 for items.

They have repeatedly ignored me and I will now be reporting them for fraud.

The return address in china is fake. I paid £16 to send it there and heard NOTHING
Company have not replied to my emails and no refund.

Absolutely awful fraudulent company order multiple items none of which were of the quality expected. Requested a return and had to pay £30 for the return to an unknown address in China and was promised a refund once they arrive. It has been over 2 months and the goods have not arrived back at their address likely because it doesn't exist and they are refusing to pay the refund. I am over £150 down absolutely horrified my the experience.

Avoid this company at all costs!!! I wish I'd read the other reviews before buying from ellrae london (which is actually in China)!!! I wanted to return the 2 dresses I bought as they didn't fit me. After a long email trail convincing them that I definitely want to return them instead of getting a partial refund theu sent a return form. I paid the postage to China with tracking. My package has now been in China for 1 month and the company are refusing to give me a refund. I have never come across a more deceitful company.

Shocking service - dress arrived and I didn’t like it and wanted to return. Couldn’t find a returns process so I contacted them. It took them ages to respond and they tried everything to dissuade me from returning and instead offered me a 50% refund which has never been paid (almost 2 months). I am still chasing. Awful and they are a fraud.

Update - they’re asking for more information! The above is clear enough. I have not received the refund and they ignore my emails asking where my refund is.

My experience is the same as others! DO NOT ORDER…. The Instagram page is Ellrae London, Misleading as it’s actually China.
The dress I ordered was dreadful. Very poor quality . They finally agreed to a 50% refund 3 months ago. Like others they say it’s being processed but I’ve still not received it!

Ordered multiple (8) dresses to try on for a wedding as they were on offer, when I went back on the website I realised the sale never ends even though it says it does.
The dresses took ages to come, and when they did come the quality for the price was awful. Never seen such cheap material.
I then explained I couldn’t wear the dresses anyway due to a family emergency and never went to the wedding so I asked for a refund, the refund was gonna cost me £40 to return and with the lack of communication I was hesitant to return as I could be sending them back and not receiving the refund.

They offered me a 30% refund I said this isn’t enough, we agreed on 60% around 2 months ago, to this day I still have not received the refund. They keep saying they are processing the refund.

I would highly recommend not purchasing anything from this company. I ordered a dress that was originally £100 but was half price so I paid £49.99. When the dress arrived it was very very poor quality and was not what I was expecting at all and did not look at all like the photo. Therefore I requested to return the item. The person I emailed dragged that process out for a week deterring me from returning the item. When I finally received a return address I was told I had to pay for the postage which was £15 to a freight elevator in China and the company name was not listed as EllRae London. I wish I had done my research prior to ordering as they are clearly marketing to look like a UK based company. After many more emails it was agreed I would receive a 30% partial refund and could keep the dress. (Realistically there was no way the parcel was making it back to that random address that was provided) However it has been nearly 3 weeks and I have still not received any refund! Do not order from this company!!

Avoid this company at all costs. Ordered a dress on 12/06/25, arrived late and quality was awful. Requested a return immediately, but they made me send explanations, photos, and labels before even giving me a return form. Finally sent it weeks later, and I had to pay £23 to return it to China. The parcel has been stuck at customs since 12/07/25 and they refuse to refund until they receive it. Customer service just says “wait patiently.” Seems like they waste time to avoid issuing a full refund.

I’ve emailed the company in relation to a refund . They told me they would send me a returns address. 7 emails later nothing . Clothing isn’t what it says , poor quality and sizing all wrong . Disgrace
