So we've been using El Parque Electric…

So we've been using El Parque Electric store in Puerto de Mazarron since 2012 and likely spent well over €15,000 over the years? We purchased 3 new tvs from them as gifts for our children for our new house, as most people do as these are gifts they are put to one side for a short period. Opens one, no sign of any external damage and the screen is smashed. Returns to store & at this point well within 30 days of original purchase. Told we only had 24/48 hours to check items which after checking is NOT EU law or ever mentioned before either verbally or in writing previously on any paperwork we've ever been given. It would be considered an Unfair Contract term as ZERO prior notice given. Told they didn't want me to leave damaged tv at shop or were prepared to do anything at all. EU law details the legal onus on shop to prove it wasn't broken at point of sale. Item NOT been dropped by me as only person to handle it. Sends message advising law to head office and told not their issue, to stop threats about what is & isn't law & company has many families relying upon it! Then improve your customer service if they rely so much upon it? Told to bring to office an hour each way & they will look at it. Said not happening, I'll deal with store which I'm told to then return to. Return as requested and still refuse to do anything. We will NOT be spending another cent with these liars and cheats, OMIC complaint being made plus credit card charge back as they still have item in store. Disgusting attitude when allegedly so many families rely on them and POINT BLANK REFUSE to honour Spanish Law! Be warned people and know your legal rights as a consumer!
