TERRIBLE

TERRIBLE. Worked for 2 months then broke. Company waited till after 90 day return period to reply. Box is huge and it costs more to return than it does to buy. STAY FAR AWAY from this scam company. They are not interested in being a reputable company selling crap pruducts.

Totally didn’t work out of the box

Totally didn’t work out of the box. Tried to get a refund. Got nowhere with them. Still no return label. Not even a phone number to call and get help. Buyer beware!!!! Stay far far away from this company. I tried to have my credit card company dispute it, but they defend themselves and say I still have the product. Because you won’t provide a refund and return authorization! SCAM!! SCAM!! SCAMM!!

DO NOT BUY!

The machine delivered worked for about a month. Then the rake got stuck. I worked through all troubleshooting they gave me. Nothing worked! They advertise a risk free in home trial and will not honor it. They offered me $20 for a machine I paid $280.00 for. DO NOT GET CAUGHT IN THE FRAUD!!!!!!!

MOST DISHONEST COMPANY I'VE EVER DEALT WITH

These verified positive reviews just now popping up are very obvious marketing soundbites with bad translations. Just adds to their scam.

I Purchased the automatic litterbox May 2024 -it worked for a few weeks then I started having issues. Looked online for troubleshooting then contacted support 2 months after receiving it. The website states a 90 day trial which would mean that they would refund the purchase if unsatisfied. Well the thing doesn't work. But they charge outrageous fees and make you pay to return it which ends up totaling a ZERO refund. They know exactly what they are doing. Check the FB group called Scammed by Elspet for more honest reviews and issues. They HIDE negative comments and reviews and even try to bribe others to take negative things down. F rating on BBB

emailing you is a WASTE of time!! I've already WASTED enough time dealing with useless "Anna" and "luna" via email. No thanks. My bank already took care of me!

This product is total garbage

This product is total garbage. Didn’t work straight out of the box. Customer service is a complete joke. If you got taken by Els Pet join us on Facebook am Scammed by ELSPET and join us in taking them down. We are hoping to pull together a lawsuit against them. Update: Sorry, not sorry, Els Pet, I spent months sending you emails to your customer service only to be given the run around and threats to sue me if I didn’t stop leaving negative reviews, which are true. You refused to stand behind your in home trial or warranty and I eventually had to dispute the charges with my payment method to get my money back. Hundreds of people having the very same issues I had have come forward as well. Don’t lie and say you’re sorry because you are not. If you were sorry you would stop scamming people.

ELS STEALING MONEY FROM THE DEAD!

A friend purchased this litter box for me. At first it was fantastic and meant I didn't have to race my dog to the litter box once the cats had used it. Sadly my friend passed away. The litter box stopped working a few months later and I approached the customer service department via email as im unable to communicate verbally a lot of the time due to having CPTSD. I explained that I obviously couldn't get the receipt or order information and was told it wasn't an issue and I was asked to try various things to see if they could restart the box. My friend didn't have an account he could pay from so someone else ordered the box for him. I was asked if I wanted a refund or replacement. I wanted the replacement as it was a gift from my friend. The following day I get an email saying they knew the fault to be sensors and it is a known fault and decided they didn't have to send out a replacement as my friend wasn't here to give the details of who ordered for him. They them suggested I buy the parts from them and fix the box myself. I'm beyond shocked as I had explained about not being able to get the order details or receipt before and was told it wasn't an issue.
SCORE IS ONE AS IT DOESNT ALLOW FOR A ZERO! It's sickening to think they are not going to fix it and they are also intending to keep the money my friend paid in good faith. Taking advantage of the fact he can't communicate his disappointment.

The robotic cat box when it works is a good product. We have two cats that took to it right away. I have had a few problems that I tried to contact the company by email, chat, on line contacting and telephone. NO response. The rake is not working at all and I now have to manually clean the box. We purchased a two year warranty that doesn't do us any good if the company won't respond. Elspet, here is another opportunity for you to respond.

This litter box is awful

This litter box is awful! I've had mine since April I believe and it is already broken. I cleaned it, kept the litter filled properly and endured that the rake was cleaned. Now the rake will not move and I'm arguing with the company for a refund. It comes with a 1 year warranty it states. I've already had to work in it due to malfunctions a few times before this. It is a nightmare. A plain old litterbox is much easier than this catastrophe!

JUST DON’T DO IT

This company has to be one of the worst customer service experiences. The The litter box malfunctioned, and and after emailing at least 10 times back-and-forth asking for a return sending videos doing multiple rounds of troubleshooting the agent has the audacity to tell me that a return would be inconvenience for me and my family. I am appalled. I’ve never seen anything like this. It was just so crazy. The box works for two months. It’s a 90 day guarantee return and they are making it the most difficult process in the world. It’s insanity.

Rake stopped working after 3 months of…

Rake stopped working after 3 months of usage. Customer service is a joke. Wants pictures and videos. I sent them. Every 10 days they are sending me an email and want me to try a different trouble shooting. They are not granting refund or replacement. Think 10 times before spending 400$ to this scam.

Do Not Buy this litter Box

Terrible customer service. Box worked well for the first 5 months. Door stopped closing so now I have been waiting for 2 months for a solution. Now customer service won't answer my emails any longer.
This company is such a scam.

Terrible customer service and product

Terrible customer service. I wanted to return my litter box because my cat wanted nothing to do with it. I tried all the tricks. Left it turned off, put my cats litter in the box etc…. No one ever returned my email and no phone number that I could find. Then I asked a question about using other litter because someone wanted to buy it but wanted to use a certain litter and still no return email.

Box broke after 6 months and the Customer Service is terrible

I bought the litter box is November, took until early January before it was delivered. The box is easy to put together but that’s about the only benefit. It is difficult to clean. There are a lot of nooks and cranies where litter and pee get in and it’s difficult to clean. In addition, the box broke after 6 months of use. The door will not shut but will start scooping and then the rake will get caught on the open door - alerting and flashing that there is a fault. This is really dangerous as the scooping will start with the door open and could cause injury to a cat. I reached out to customer service and have had the worst experience. I have sent them multiple videos of the fault and emails back and forth. The customer service agent would make an offer and then a few days later come back looking for more videos? It’s like she couldn’t keep track of the email conversation. Finally, they offered to send out replacement parts for the litter box. I confirmed my address and 2 weeks later, I’m informed they will not send replacement parts to Ireland. The offers continue as follows:
-here’s a link to our website to buy the replacement parts yourself at your own expense
-here’s a 60$ refund (I paid €299 for the box)
-we will send you the items but you must pay for the shipping
-here is a 30$ refund.
I have been in contact with them for 2 months now with no plausible solution being offered.
Honestly, do not buy anything from them. I should add the box came with a 1 year warranty included in the purchase. They do not respect the warranty at all - they are scammers selling an item that will not last and they will continue to test your patience when looking for help until you give up as there’s no resolution that would benefit the customer being offered.

Bought this in March and it worked for…

Bought this in March and it worked for about two months. The safety door would not open or close and the rake kept getting caught on it. I have replaced the rake three times as it kept breaking. I contacted customer service and they wanted an order number, when I gave the one I received from seller on Ebay, was told it was incorrect. Wanted me to send a video of it not working with the correct order number. She was very rude when I told her I gave her the only order number I had, so I hung up on her. The only solution I could come up with was to remove the Safety Door and it would rake just fine ( there are sensors on the sides that will stop it if any cats go inside ). In the meantime Iunplug it when I'm not home and just bought a Litter Robot after wasting $300 on this piece of garbage. I wish I had read all the reviews before purchasing

If we could go less than one we would

If we could go less than one we would. Absolute expensive garbage. Customer service wanted 50 videos of the machine doing the exact same thing over and over, not working. Now we have hideous looking igloo full of litter that you have to reach into to scoop out. Might as well unplug it and set it outside for the raccoons to play in.

Horrible Product. Horrible Customer Service
The litterbox arrived broken, it turned on but did not actually do anything after that. I checked the return policy, followed all the guidelines, contacted customer service, repacked the machine in all the original packaging.. all the things that they required and was still denied a refund or return.
They instead suggested that I take videos of the product to send to them for troubleshooting. I reminded them that their website says 90 days returns for any reason and that I did not want to keep a broken product and was told that I was not allowed to return it and they would not give me an address.
This is not how business should be conducted. Companies need to be liable for their word and sadly this company is a fraud.
I only wish I had read all the other reviews on all the other sites that say exactly the same thing about this company. They do not stand by their product they do not stand by their word They are not somebody I would ever do business with again and I would not recommend to any of my friends, family or strangers.
Cheap is always expensive and I learned my lesson the hard way with this company.
