ELTA Courier (specifically the Chalandri branch in Athens) is systematically deceiving customers and international sellers like AliExpress. For 2 consecutive days, my package (SE1020855**GR) is marked as "Out for Delivery," yet no one ever shows up. They send fake SMS alerts to keep you waiting at home all day, only to later claim "delivery failed" or "pick up from store" to avoid doing their job.
Their phone support is a useless bot that hangs up on you, and emails are ignored. This is not a delivery service; it’s a scam to force customers to do the courier's job by picking up packages themselves. AliExpress and other global platforms should STOP partnering with ELTA Courier if they care about their reputation in Greece. Formal complaint already filed with the National Regulatory Authority (EETT). Avoid at all costs!
ELTA Courier is systematically failing its customers. I paid for Home Delivery, but they consistently drop my packages at a "Box Now" locker 10km away from my house without my consent. This is a scam to avoid home delivery costs.
I have already filed official complaints with the Greek Consumer Ombudsman (Case #48782) and the National Telecommunications & Post Commission (EETT). Even AliExpress has started an official investigation into their practices (Case ID 2053807659073675).
They are unprofessional, unreliable, and use ridiculous excuses for month-long delays. Avoid them at all costs.
The online shops avoid to let you know that they are using elta courier because the fact is a deal breaker. Long waiting and at the end you will have to go and pick up by your self.
Three days in a row my parcel was marked “Out for delivery” and nobody showed up. I was at home every time.
The system even says “Addressee requested later delivery”, which is simply not true — I never requested that.

No one answers the phone or their E-mail (gmail address btw..), and customer support is unreachable. This delivery was urgent for my work, and the repeated failed attempts caused real problems for me.

Elta Courier state they do door to door delivery when then don’t. They have a package to deliver to you but it doesn’t arrive. When you check Tracking it will say Attempted Delivery when they haven’t left their office.
My tracking yesterday said Attempted Delivery and the package was in Athens, I live in Crete.
Elta Courier Moires are full of lies and they should all be dismissed. I have complained to Elta Courier CEO but they don’t care.
Please don’t confuse Elta Courier with Elta the post office. The people at the post office are very good.
Worst Courier company. Fake message that came but didnt find you, no answer to calls and if miracle happens, they are very rude. Communication with them is lost time. Nothing good for them, honestly.

Absolute trash, the office for Chalandri is north of Vrilissia for some reason, but they cannot give your parcel to the regular ELTA office to take from there.
Today they attempted delivery in the morning when I was unavailable (they only tell you on the same morning that they plan to come anytime between 9 and 5) and I received a message saying my parcel was waiting at the office a couple hours later. So I get on the bus to go to the office in Vrilissia, but then they call me when I am 30 minutes away from home to say they are at my house again with the parcel...
This courier service is extremely unreliable. Deliveries are rarely on time, and customer support is practically nonexistent. The chat system is fully automated and useless, there is no way to reach a real person.
A delivery scheduled for December 31 was falsely marked as “recipient absent” even though I was home all day. No call, no message, no attempt to deliver. The courier simply marked it as failed.
This company operates with outdated systems and a clear lack of professionalism. Couriers appear to avoid delivering parcels by falsely reporting absences. I strongly advise against using this service.
These people are obviously poorly managed. I guess that they offer cheap rates to other cheap international couriers and when the package arrives they unjustifiably claim insufficient address details in order to cover delayed delivery. So you get emails from them and from Amazon nove of which offer a mode of response. Then they deliver normally!!!
The parent company is in a state of collapse and goodness knows what is happening internally.
Why are they even allowed to trade?. They claim to deliver. When you call to enquire they send you from one telephone number to another, only to claim to have delivered, when they haven't.
I'm from Greece and i don't feel good to do that but I have to inform people that interesting to send anything to Greece.Be careful, if you send anything from abroad be sure that when the package arrived to Greece it won't received from elta courier, co operate with other courier company.I send a package from Netherlands to Greece, it arrived there in 5 days and it stay in a central storage around 3 weeks and still no employer cares to deliver it to its destination. It's unbelievable. I try to communicate by phone or mail but the employees there are so bored to fix the problem
Terrible service and no interest to assist at all.
I waiting for a package that has arrived at the main warehouse in Athens on 15 July, and it has been two weeks and no further info has been received.
No one answers any phone. When I managed to speak with someone today (i.e. after two weeks), they confirmed that the package is there and that they do not know when it will move due to "workload", and that I should send an email so that someone sees it and maybe it gets prioritised, and there is nothing else they can do nor provide an estimated time of delivery.
I want to sincerely thank ELTA and especially their support team for the incredible assistance I received. My situation was a bit complicated, as I live abroad and couldn’t be there in person to handle the customs process. Despite that, their team patiently guided me through every step, responded to my emails, and made sure my parcel wouldn’t be returned.
They went above and beyond, and thanks to them, I’m finally receiving my package. I truly, truly appreciate their professionalism, kindness, and the human approach they showed throughout.
I know their rating might not reflect it, but my experience was excellent—and I will absolutely recommend ELTA to others. Thank you again for everything!

They lie about coming by the house. They never ring the bell, they never leave a note, because they never come by. On the phone they say they came by and noone answered the door. They expect you to go to them to pick up your parcel. Tragic
They keep lying to me about not finding me at home. But they never leave a note to prove they actually came. So, they force you to go to the depot to get it yourself.
