My family and I had one of the worst rental experiences ever with a company called Boutique in Miami, Florida, on December 25, 2025. The way this business operates feels like a complete scam and people need to be warned before they book here.

We had reserved several vans more than two months in advance for a family trip, and our reservation was fully confirmed. When we arrived, the woman at the front desk treated us with an extremely disrespectful and arrogant attitude from the moment she started speaking with us. She claimed that our vehicle had been in an accident and that it was “impossible” to give us the van we had reserved, showing a random photo that did not include any reservation number or proof that it was actually our vehicle.

Instead of trying to help or offer a solution, she repeated aggressively that there was “no solution,” raising her voice and talking down to us as if everything was our fault. When I calmly suggested that they rent us the same van we were returning (which was actually more expensive and clearly not in my favor), she responded with sarcasm and bad faith, saying that I was “not doing her a favor” and that she would not give us any kind of discount, even though the vehicle she was offering at that moment was cheaper than what we had originally reserved.

I explained that I was stressed because this was a long‑planned family trip and that our reservation had been made well in advance, but she simply ignored me and stared at her screen. She said she would charge whatever price appeared on her computer and that was it. When I continued insisting, still respectfully, she suddenly threatened to call the police, accusing me of having an “aggressive tone,” even though I never insulted her or raised my voice.

When my husband arrived, naturally upset because we were clearly being taken advantage of, she repeated the same accusation and immediately called the police. The most shocking part is that when the officers arrived, they mentioned that they receive calls from this same rental company almost every day, which says a lot about how often they have conflicts with customers.

On top of all this, their prices are completely deceptive. They advertise one amount online, but once you are at the counter they start inflating the total with all kinds of “mandatory” extras: tours, insurances, fees, and charges that were never clearly disclosed in the original reservation. Other customers have reported similar hidden fees and abusive charges, which confirms that this is not an isolated case but a pattern of behavior.

For your own peace of mind and your wallet, do not rent from Boutique in Miami. Look for a reputable, well‑known rental company instead and avoid risking your family trip and your money with a business that uses deceptive practices, disrespects customers, and has frequent police involvement due to the way they treat people.

No refund given

Ordered from them and returned my item which i had to email them to ask for. It took them a long time to get back to me with the return address. I then returned my items and i did not receive a refund. I was chasing them for months and did not get a response and the one time i did, they had stated that they would chase it up and i never heard from them again. I had sent back my return so i could track it and i could see it was signed for but it was just a scribble. I NEVER received my refund and had to get this back via my bank. They then decided to respond over a year later via email which i told them to forget it as i reported them for fraud. So just a warning, if you are not an influencer or celebrity you won't get a refund or any response so don't ever order from them. She promotes her business but likes to steal from people and take their money. They may give the very far and few a refund so that it looks legit but it's not. By the looks of it, i'm not the only one who's said this!

Terrible

Terrible, requested a return/refund in November as my items were received scuffed and had sequins missing, no response. They are very teef, but they will get their comeuppance. You can’t do these things to people supporting you. The owner should be ashamed of themselves

Ordered the Nori set in May

Ordered the Nori set in May , delivery was quick however I wasn’t keen on the item so requested a return. Their policy is ridiculous and illegal. You must make a request to return via their website in order to get the return address. They expressed this should take no longer than 48 hours. I received no response for over a week and only managed to get a response by commenting under all of their Instagram pictures.

They then expressed I had TWO DAYS to get the item back to their warehouse to be eligible for a refund, which I had to provide proof that I used a tracked service to return the item. They then expressed I’d have to wait 10-14 business days for a refund.

Worst experience ever!

Awful service. Won’t refund!!

Cannot believe reading the reviews that I’m in the same boat. I returned the item paying £8 something in their tight 2 week window back in Jan 2022 and they have NEVER given me back my £70 or a working code for something else…I have tried contacting them a million times. It’s advertised as a ‘Black owned business’ so they need to come correct when dealing with women of colour that want to support them. Maya Jama models for them, I wonder if she knows how bad their reputation is now.

Worst customer service

These small businesses need to do better with their customer service!

The delivery was very fast but trying to get a refund was crazy.

I managed to get the return address by emailing. Took like a week to respond. I paid 24hr tracked to make sure she received it without any problems. Once she received it, she would not reply to any of my emails chasing up the refund!

Had to get a charge back via my credit card for me Refund.

Unless you’re sure you’re gonna not need to return or exchange, I’d say avoid

Do not order from this company the reviews are correct. Thank god I ordered via Klarna so money hasn’t actually left my account. But they do not respond you can not return items. I have opened a case through Klarna to investigate. Please do not waste your time with this company

Ordered an item it took 2 weeks to arrive item arrived and the material was not what I expected and did not suit me.. I am trying to return the item and it is landing on deaf ears! I have had no response via Instagram or email I contacted the number on the packaging and I got response saying who is this I told them my reason that i am wanting to return an item… I did not get a response
Very disappointed with the customer service, use embi studios if your not bothered about customer service. It’s not fare on the customer as they say returns have to made within 7 days but to get a response is a myth

Do not ever buy from here. All the bad reviews are so true. Ordered two dresses that just didn’t look good on me. Had to go through the website to issue a refund (doesn’t even come with a confirmation slip or anything, already a red flag) and have been waiting WEEKS for them to respond me. DM and email and still nothing. Terrible absolutely terrible

DON'T BUY FROM THEM. EVER.

Placed my first order with them for a dress but it was the wrong size. Followed procedures to exchanged it and I am still waiting. They are currently ignoring all my messages, I still have no dress or no money back. It's been more than 3 months. COMPLETE SCAM, I regret the day I bought from them. Avoid at all costs, these companies should not be supported. All marketing and zero substance.

All in all disappointing

All in all disappointing. They take your money and process your order so quickly which is the only good part of the process. I ordered the two piece set, it was such awful quality and for £120 you would be expecting something super high quality as it’s hand made. The product wasn’t double lined abs just felt cheap. You don’t get a returns address with your order so you have to get in contact with them to approve your return, to which they don’t actually reply. 2 weeks it took to get a response for me to then have to send the Parcel back on special next day in order to make the returns window. The whole ordeal has taken 2 months from start to finish of ordering and securing a refund. I wouldn’t waste your money.

Never will i order from them again

I advice anyone not to order from this company. They sent me a faulty jumpsuit plus the jumpsuit was clearly worn before as the jumpsuit smelt like perfume! I emailed and messaged through insta numerous of times in regards of having a refund because i was not happy. They responded back once and i am still waiting ! This then led me to call my bank to dispute this matter which i have now been refunded for. The company is shocking ! Never will i ever order from them again

I ordered a dress from here on a Thursday and I would just like to thank you, I paid for the delivery 2/3 working days, expected it to arrive Tuesday and it came by the Saturday.

The dress quality is beautiful, very flattering, true to size and great attention to details and quality.
