I received my long awaited custom built X30 yesterday. What STUNNING guitar! Both in physical beauty & sound. I had to immediately take it to my professional musician friend. He absolutely loved how it played & sounded. Me, too! From my start on the 3-D designer web page, to the delivery of my beautiful guitar…was an issue free enjoyable experience. This was my second Emerald (Virtuo) & they are both in their own league. I cannot say enough Great things about the team @ Emerald Guitars. 🎸🎸🤩

Skeptical buying without playing--amazed
After playing my new X10 Slimline for a week, I'm thoroughly amazed at the quality, fit, and finish of this guitar. The guitar not only looks phenomenal, like nothing I've ever owned before, it also plays like a state of the art piece of musical tech. I'm so happy with my purchase, I'm already looking at build the next one!

Picking which guitar to buy was the hardest part. The website was easy to navigate and purchase the guitar.

But the guitar is the most amazing thing. It is not only beautiful but so easy to use and play. It is so comfortable to hold. It came tuned and has stayed tuned since I have had it. The sound blows me away.

I got an X7, because of arthritis in my hands the short scale works great for me as it would for people with small hands. If you go play one you will be sold on the sound and playability

Arizona is where exotic tone woods go to die, and adhesives lose their grip. Thank God for Emerald Guitars!

Quality of the end product is of course instrumental to my satisfaction. I love my X-10 classical guitar. I am additionally appreciative of the excellent customer service team. Caolan is super responsive and the logistics team was able to change a shipping address in an heartbeat for me.
I will of course be back to buy more!!!

Got my first X-20 a week ago. It really surpassed expectations. A beautiful warm sound when recorded with a mic (I used an AT 4033). To me the built in electronics (LR Baggs) is a bit too overdriven but I still think it is great for gigs. Great action and intonation. While sound is obviously the most important feature, it really is a work of art.

Beautiful Guitar with a Beautiful Sound! Wonderful friendly service! Our only suggestion for improvement is that we wish you made a Bouzouki. Maybe in the future eh?

This is my second purchase and the overall product quality is excellent! While overall production took more than 3 months and was quoted shorter lead time.
Otherwise, would give 5 star.

I live in Las Vegas where wooden guitars make no sense. I have also owned other carbon fiber guitars which were uncomfortable and the tone was poor. My Emerald is beautifully made and sounds amazing. The customer service I have received is among the best I’ve had anywhere. This is my second Emerald purchase and I’m already thinking of my third. Even if I didn’t live in a climate that demands a carbon fiber instrument I would still choose Emerald every time. I am so satisfied in every way.

Your shipping is painfully slow and a200 dollar up charge for speed is insulting for a 3700.00 bass

I purchased a Virtuo with intricate fretboard inlays and without wood veneer. The guitar arrived quickly, well tracked by UPS until arrival in New Zealand, at which point it disappeared. My local courier didn't bother to update and chose to leave it on my front doorstep unannounced. Luckily, it was found soon afterward!
Upon opening the case I was struck by the beauty of the guitar. Even the case is beautiful. Additionally, after a world tour with UPS it only required the high E string to be tuned slightly. I must stress that the guitar is more beautiful than I expected. It is an instant conversation starter with other musicians and totally at home with me. I love it. The green colour of the guitar changes in different light. Much blacker in dark light, brighter green in more direct light.
There aren't any flaws worth writing about. I honestly have to reconsider how perfect a guitar has to be before I pay good money for it; eg, an old es335 I have is a dumpster fire compared to this.
I have an Amicus in plain black carbon, and this Virtuo in green.
I would recommend a colour rather than the plain black. Going for your ideal custom options would be worth it, as the execution is at such a high level. You won't regret it when it arrives.
The sound is excellent. As I play both acoustic and electric, with many more years on acoustic, the guitar is highly suited to this; and the full complement of pickups and outputs provides the music writing tool I was seeking.

Everything went smooth as silk.
From getting notice there was a sale, to picking the guitar from stock that I had already been looking at for a bit, everything was quite simple. Guitar arrived quick and in perfect condition even with the free shipping option.

From the ordering, communications, delivery and the final product, the company is top notch.

Product quality was excellent. Delivered as promised.

Highly recommend!!

Good things:
- The instrument is beautiful and I love it
- The included mug was a lovely surprise

Bad things:
- Production time was cited as 2-3 months. It took 4.5 months, missing the dates for our St. Patrick's Day concerts the sales team assured me I'd have it for.
- Several emails with the sales team yielded several ship dates, all inaccurate. (Well, except the last, I guess.)
- Sales team assured me I'd receive a call from the production team explaining what had gone wrong on the production line. I never did.
- Company made no attempt to make up for the missed dates (and concerts). (I'd have thought expedited shipping or a guitar strap or something might make sense.)

In short, the guitar is stunning, and the customer service was deeply disappointing.
