Delivery ok…the lid is lighter than the jar…but even the lid isn’t as light as the clay vinegar bottle…and having the clay vinegar bottle and loving the colour was the reason I bought this…so quite disappointed…tell me …are the lids made at a different place to the bodies
I WASN’T TALKING ABOUT THE WEIGHT …IF YOU’D HAVE READ IT PROPERLY…IT’S THE COLOUR

Thank you for your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear the difference in the lid weight was disappointing.
The lids for the Cookie Jar and Vinegar Pot have different weights due to the different purpose of each product. The Cookie Jar has a heavier, tighter-fitting lid to prevent air entering the jar, therefore avoiding softening of biscuits and keeping them fresher for longer. The Vinegar Pot, however, has a lighter lid as vinegar needs a small amount of airflow during the brewing process.
Every Emile Henry item is made in the same family factory in Marsigny, France and produced to the same high standards of craftsmanship and quality.
