We do not recommend hiring Emilia Digital

I wish to make public my profound dissatisfaction with Emilia Digital regarding the development of the Jew Where platform.

Jew Where is not merely a website. It is a project created by a Jewish institution with the purpose of promoting Jewish history, memory, and culture, while strengthening the living connection with Israel.

Despite the payments made and the many months of work involved, we do not believe that an adequate final delivery of the platform was ever achieved. In our assessment, significant functional issues, incomplete features, lack of clear documentation, and various unresolved matters remained, preventing the project from being considered satisfactorily completed.

Throughout the process, we were provided with access to the platform and were repeatedly informed that it was ready or functional. However, we continued to identify defects, incomplete elements, and functionalities that we understood to be part of the project. On numerous occasions, matters that we believed were included were later classified as being outside the scope or subject to additional work.

Even while we were formally disputing the delivery, additional payments and outstanding balances continued to be requested. This approach significantly eroded our trust.

Communication became exhausting, repetitive, and unproductive. Rather than receiving objective responses to the issues identified, we encountered ongoing disagreements regarding scope, approvals, and responsibilities, without the central problems being resolved in a serious and satisfactory manner.

This situation caused significant harm to the project, including delays, loss of time, institutional strain, and additional costs. Given the condition of the platform, we ultimately proceeded with development through other means to ensure that Jew Where could move forward.

Our experience with Emilia Digital, Gil Amitay, and Ron Motola was profoundly negative. We were deeply disappointed both with the outcome achieved and with the manner in which the professional relationship was conducted.

For these reasons, we do not recommend hiring Emilia Digital.
