I've been buying jewellery from Emily Proudfoot for a number of years now and am consistently happy with the quality of what she makes, especially her rings.

We recently had the pleasure of working with her to order a pair of bespoke hand engraved wedding bands. We brought her a basic idea and she absolutely brought it to life, including making suggestions on what was realistic for our budget and design tweaks to make sure we were really getting the best we could while still being made with the specific gold purity we wanted. Her communication was excellent throughout, and the turnaround time was very reasonable.
Onto the important part - the rings are breath taking. The engraving is absolutely stunning, with a really lovely glimmer. They are chunky enough that they'll definitely sustain daily wear but still the right width/size to be comfortable (something I've found with the rings I've bought from her previously!). We are thrilled with them.

A fun part of the custom design process was getting to see progress on them made over social media. Price-wise she was very comparable to other UK jewellers for similar work, especially given the time and skill it takes for hand engraving. We were really pleased with what we were able to get made within our budget and think we would have struggled to get something completely bespoke for the same price with other jewellers, at least based on the research we did before deciding on Emily for this project. I was also extremely pleased that we were able to get our rings made in 14k gold, something a lot of UK jewellers do not offer - as the bands were replacing a sentimental ring it was important to me that this was the alloy level.

I've had the privilege of seeing Emily Proudfoot's skills and style develop over 10 years or so now, and she is truly an extremely talented jeweller (and a generally lovely person who wants the best for her clients!). We would highly recommend working with her.

Fantastic customer service and I'm obsessed with my coffin nail necklace. The pendant, engraving and chain are all high quality.
Really appreciated being able to choose the font of the engraving.

Nice classic design, the engraved motto is unique and was the reason I bought the ring. For sterling silver and amethyst, it does seem overpriced at $480.

I have been following Emily on instagram for a while so I choose her to do mine and my partners commitment ring. Custom engraved with our birthstones. They were exactly how I’d envisioned them if not even more stunning. From communication to final touches and presentation, her work is flawless. What a lovely, easy, transaction. This is why choosing small businesses is more important I think, you get that extra care and detail. I can’t recommend this business more.
