A Faultless Organ for over 21 Years.

Having, for five years, been Assistant Organist at Exeter Cathedral and privileged to play that magnificent 4-manual organ, it may be a surprise to some people, that here I am recommending a digital organ.
However, having played and tested virtually all makes of digital organ, in 1996, I made one of my best ever decisions in choosing to buy an Eminent DCS 386 organ with 37 speaking stops with Library of 64 stops.
I drew up the specification and was present when it was voiced in my house, specifically for that acoustic. The sound is magnificent, and has delightful solo mutation effects.
In my house, it has been used far and away more than any church organ and yet has, for over 21 years, been faultless. Only this year have a couple of bulbs needed to be replaced, which Shea Lolin rectified with outstanding promptness, with no charge, other than my annual insurance with Eminent.
Not only is Shea a highly competent musician, including being an organist, but he is fully conversant with the technicalities of the digital organ world. He is highly efficient and a pleasure to know.
Any church looking to rebuild their pipe organ, but lacking funds for doing so, would be wise to consider an Eminent organ - no expense of tuners twice a year, no expense of an electric blower gobling up electricity.
I cannot recommend Shea Lolin and Eminent Organs highly enough.

Restoring an elderly instrument back to life.

We were having problems (quite possibly caused by damp/condensation) with an elderly but very pleasant Eminent organ. Martin and Stuart managed to restore the instrument back to its former glory in a relatively short space of time and it is once again a pleasure to play. Their charges were also reasonable.

Cannot fault this firm

I wanted to change some aspects of the voicing of the Eminent organ in my church. Shea came out and couldn't have been more helpful. He pinpointed straight away what needed doing to adjust the sound of individual stops and the changing nature of their sound in different parts of the pitch range. He also attended to the relative volume of the stops in each division so they sounded as a balanced chorus when built up. He listened attentively to what I was saying about the sound and nothing was too much trouble. He spent as much time as was necessary to get it right, even when it meant revisiting stops he'd already worked on, to adjust their sound and balance again in view of changes made elsewhere on the instrument.

If only more firms were like Eminent. Excellent service in every way.
