Heirloom tomatoes taste better than other tomatoes because of how the seeds are specially selected from season to season with the fruit open-pollinated; they’re also often highly colourful – just like the brightly decorated pattern on this Heirloom Tomatoes Medium Pasta Bowl. Roughly chopped heirloom tomatoes tossed in olive oil, kissed with garlic and a touch of freshly ground pepper then served over linguine in our pasta bowls makes for a comforting weekday family supper. (The bowls are good for home-made tomato soup too!) It’s a dish best eaten warm but not hot so as to really appreciate the taste of the heirloom tomatoes just as they are.
