Both plates had glazing issues. According to EB this is because it’s hand made in Britain and therefor should be excepted. It’s a great design. But a very very mediocre quality plate and certainly devoid of craftsmanship. Not worth the hefty price tag.

These are lovely plates although personally I preferred the original utility range which had a smaller blue font which was on some of the old utility French bowls I have to this larger black font. However I was very disappointed with this purchase as of the six plates (all bought at full price and sold as perfect) I ordered four had various imperfections in the glaze so I returned them all for a refund and did not replace. First time I have ever had an issue with the quality of EB products. Customer service in sorting out the return and refund was good.
