scammers
They charged me for a bunch of unsent campaigns - I lost thousands of revenue from their ability to not deliver on big sales and product launch days. Instead of apologies they are not refunding the money to me. Again no texts were sent, they are charging as though they were and not refunding me. It's been months of back and forth emails and thousands of dollars lost. _ GO ELSEWHERE - THEY ARE SCAMMERS

I’ve used several sms companies and the thing that sets Emotive apart is that we have a dedicated human being who cares about our success and works with us to create goals and continue to scale and use the platform to its best abilities. Emily, our customer success manager, is a delight and her insights are so helpful. Having a second person who helps us with copy is also hugely helpful. If we didn’t have this support team we would probably consider consolidating our sms with our email, so they are 100% the reason we use Emotive.

Currently dealing with their legal department. Hidden fees, automatic charges and unaccountable reporting. These guys are jokers. So many other providers that are not try to rip you off and charge extra fees and force you to stay with them when you try and cancel for over 4 months!
No one is accountable here except for their “accounting department” that will threaten and harass you.
Time for some class action folks.
Horrible service with hidden fees
Horrible service with hidden fees. These guys will keep charging your credit card even after you cancel. If you want to have charges hit your credit card indefinitely, sign up with this company. Save yourself a nightmare experience and avoid this company.
Text this: STAY AWAY FROM EMOTIVE!
Not worth the frustrations!
I've worked with a lot of companies in the past and have ended up canceling or not using their services anymore. A lot of these companies make it easy to end the services and just go about your business and carry on. "THIS APP/SERVICE" on the other hand gouges swindles you with their contracts as well as try to upsell you on other services they offer.
At first, they promised to be better than "PostScripts" and that they have better rates, services, and overall, a better experience using their platform. This was FALSE advertising!
We are on Attentive now and are in a much better position with our SMS Marketing channel. We've lost a lot of revenue by switching from PostScript to Emotive.
My advice, use Attentive instead of Emotive. Way better results and half the cost.

FIREARMS ONLINES SALES?
These people falsely accused me of selling firearms!!
We sell basement waterproofing products!
Having scheduled an onboarding Zoom appointment and made sure I was on time for it which meant a tough drive through heavy traffic and rain, plus cutting short my other tasks, I was greeted with an email from them cancelling the appointment, stating the reason to be that I was an arms dealer!
They said that it would be illegal for them to provide me with their marketing services.
I used my business domain email address so they could easily have found my website where we sell Waterguard and FloodBuster sump and pump systems.
We are totally against guns and would never trade in them.
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would. We signed up back in December and it was half a$$d on boarding. We were told it would be free for 30 days and guarantee xyz return on investment ( that never happened) now that we got that part out of the way, let’s talk billing…. My bill continue to have random charges on it that weren’t on it the month before. Back in may they charged me 3 months up front, I let it slide and was like oh well at least I’m paid up front… noooo they billed me may June and today however they already billed me for these months back in may. I reached out to support several times no answer. I emailed support saying I had an issue with a campaign and boom I get a response asking to do a zoom meeting. I get on the call and they never are on camera ( red flag) I tell them my issue is billing I explain my contract I explain the over charges and tell them I will report them to the bbb and tell my bank it’s fraud. Support said they would pass it on. I reached back out to support because I’m not able to download or save my subscribers list( another huge red flag) and support tells me that someone will call me tomorrow and I can ask them for a list!
Excuse me but my subscribers are my information for my business not Emotive’s, stealing money is also illegal.
Any guess what my favorite part is. I didn’t update my billing information when I got a new card a while back but they were still billing me. My bank looked and saw they had my new card information and emotive said they had my new information but on my invoice and receipt of payment that have it was from my old card. My card has never been updated and the bank informed me they have been stealing people card information.
RUN FOR THE HILLS
Emotive literally feels like a scam
Emotive literally feels like a scam. First, please note you must give them a SIX MONTH termination request which is unheard of. Need I say more? We have also been double charged 4 times in the past year which they could not explain.
This is the worst and shadiest company…
This is the worst and shadiest company I have ever seen. They will keep charging and charging you unless you report them as a thief.
Please stay away
WARNING: Deceptive Practices, Locked Contracts, and Unfulfilled Promises
I feel compelled to share my experience with 317 Labs, Inc - DBA (Emotive) to warn fellow consumers about their deceptive practices and the distressing ordeal I endured. It is crucial for others to be aware of the pitfalls associated with this company before making any commitments.
I initially signed up with Emotive in November 2021, excited about the prospect of utilizing their services to engage with my customers via text messaging. The sales representative assured me that the monthly fee would be $200, with additional charges for text messages sent. Tempted by the offer of "Conversational Ads" and the promise of each lead costing only 75 cents with the first 500 leads for free, I decided to give it a try. Little did I know that this decision would lead to a nightmarish experience.
After accumulating over 1000 leads, I noticed exorbitant charges on my monthly bills, amounting to $791.25. When I sought clarification from Emotive, I was shocked to discover that the 75-cent charge for leads was not a one-time fee but an ongoing charge for the same lead every month for an entire year. The representative's failure to disclose this crucial information during the sales pitch was both misleading and deceptive. Additionally, I was misled by their promise of a 5x return on investment guarantee and ability to cancel at anytime.
I would also like to point out, that many of these leads through conversational ads, would get upset and request to opt out saying they never signed up for my list. This was suspicious as well, and it's illegal to opt people's phones number in on a list they did not agree to.
Despite reaching out to Emotive's team, including my assigned "success manager" Krysta Jeffrey, my concerns fell on deaf ears. Krysta repeatedly promised to address the issue, but she never followed up or provided any resolution. The company's customer service was severely lacking, leaving me feeling deceived and trapped in a contract that I never would have agreed to if I had known the full truth.
Furthermore, Emotive locked me out of my account when I raised these concerns, denying me access to the leads they claimed I needed to pay for. Their billing department remained unresponsive to my inquiries, failing to provide a breakdown of charges or any explanation for the discrepancies.
Over the past two years, they have had lawyers harassing me for charges I do not owe with amounts that do not even make any sense.
It is disheartening to see that my experience is not an isolated incident. Countless customers have shared similar reviews, exposing Emotive's deceptive practices, erroneous billing, and refusal to cancel contracts. Small businesses, like mine, deserve protection from such predatory behavior.
I implore fellow consumers to exercise caution before engaging with Emotive. The company's failure to uphold promises, lack of transparency, and disregard for customer satisfaction demonstrate a severe lack of ethics and professionalism.
I hope that by sharing my story, I can prevent others from falling into the same trap. TrustPilot is a platform for honest reviews, and it is essential to shed light on companies like Emotive to hold them accountable and protect innocent consumers.
Please stay vigilant and avoid the distress and financial burden that I have endured by steering clear of Emotive.
Emotive SMS
Emotive SMS: A Pushy, Inflexible, and Overpriced Disappointment
As a business owner constantly looking for new ways to engage with my customers, I decided to give Emotive's SMS service a try. However, my experience with them has been nothing short of aggravating and disappointing, leading me to write this review to warn others about their tactics and shortcomings.
From the get-go, Emotive seemed pushy, essentially forcing me to use their service. They appeared to lack empathy and understanding for the individual needs of my business, which became more evident as we moved forward.
Their copywriting services, which I had hoped would save me time and effort, consistently failed to capture the essence of my brand. Instead of tailoring their work to my unique identity, they delivered generic, uninspired content.
The true breaking point came when I attempted to cancel their service, providing a two-week notice. Unbeknownst to me, our contract stipulated a 30-day cancellation notice. Emotive showed no compassion or flexibility in this regard, stubbornly holding me to the contractual terms despite my dissatisfaction with their service. Adding insult to injury, they neglected to inform me that my service was renewing, which made the entire cancellation process even more frustrating.
In summary, Emotive's SMS service is a costly, overpriced disappointment that fails to deliver on its promises. Their pushy tactics, lack of empathy, and rigid policies only serve to sour the experience further. I wholeheartedly advise against using their services and recommend that fellow business owners look elsewhere for a more compassionate and adaptable SMS marketing partner.
Emotive Has It All
Emotive has it all: an attractive price point, reasonable terms and costs, excellent support, excellent communication, easy onboarding, a robust platform, and innovative content ideas. I am amazed at the level of support we receive, and it actually helps us in other aspects of our business. I cannot imagine moving to another provider — I can't see how any other company could beat the price, service, and experience.
Do not hire this company
Do not hire this company. They do not deliver. There system is fraudulent and misleading. If I could post a negative 10 in would. They have a F better business rating.
Go-To SMS Marketing Tool
Emotive has been our go-to tool for SMS Marketing and what I love is that it's a platform that grows along with us. Their platform support is incredible, and the best part I if there is a feature we want that isn't there, I can suggest it and next thing I know it's there. Emotive truly has their customers in mind and I cannot tell you how incredible it is to work with them.
Grown my company with Emotive
Emotive is great to work with - I have grown my company alongside them, and they've treated me like family along the way. Work with them -- they are good people with a good service
Poor experience
Poor experience, bad customer service that offers no solutions to any of your problems and they always redirect your emails to someone else who takes a week to respond. I would go with someone else. They were great when they started out and will give you the best experience possible to get you to sign that contract which is a TRAP and no way to cancel it.
dont recommend them. the 1 star reviews are honest
I have been with them since I started my business, so around 3 years. They try to lock you into some contract where you cant cancel because you HAVE to be in a one year contract with a minimum spend amount (even if that is $0, there will be another monthly charge theyll try to scam you into paying). If you forget to cancel by ONE DAY you must stay locked in for an entire year. Now I'll need to dispute all these charges and have my credit card company deal with it, it's such a waste of time
Don't get ripped off... choose a different provider
If you want to be charged thousands of dollars for no reason, by all means sign up for Emotive. Things started out OK as we were dealing with good people who seemed to care if the brand was successful on their platform but over time that shifted to money hungry people who wanted to get us to send as many messages as possible with no regard for ROI (which was severely lacking). The last few months they have taken to arbitrarily adding charges to our bill and refusing to refund them. They have now overcharged me by $1300 in the last 45 days. We also had broadcasts that were set to go at a particular time that instead were sent at odd hours. This pissed off our customers and we were still required to pay for those messages.
We did change providers and were told by the new provider that the Emotive customers are dropping like flies . Emotive continues to charge me even though we changed providers. They laid off all of the people we liked too. Bad company, dirty practices.
Taking Advantage of Small Businesses
For a while, text marketing worked for us, however those days for us and many others are over. I am extremely disappointed with Emotive's procedures and ability to help customers. Their contract is a one-year term that cannot be cancelled outside of its renewal, which is extremely predatory given the decreased success and increased competition in text marketing. Their team is extremely unprofessional. Beware their pricing model- apparently, they have close to 250 different combinations of pricing available. Meaning that when you ask for help, you will hear about 3 different things. They refuse to be held accountable to the insight they have given customers. Extremely disappointing. Do not hire this service.
Their 5 Star Reviews Are Paid For...
Avoid this awful company - the 1 star reviews are all true. Not only that, when you become a client they bribe you with gift cards to leave them good scores on TrustPilot and G2 crowd.
Don't believe me?
They only have 1 or 5 star reviews on here - and all the 5 star ones come in waves when they do campaigns, and all the accounts leaving the reviews have only ever left a review for them, no history... coincidence?
Not clever. Just review fraud.
Anybody who has experienced the monthly minimum charges, change your card number and go through the chargeback process with your credit provider.
You will all win the appeal and these crooks will finally be hit in the wallet.
