Very good time and interesting different places, environments visited.
Ann my tourguide was very dedicated to her assignment. She took me to a true restaurant "institution’’ of Cairo to taste the only dish served and famous Koshary. The driver had a very clean and confortable car and drove us gently despite the madness Cairo traffic! Bravo Adel for a very professional drive. Thank you to both of them. 🤗👏
Red Sea Day trip
Did the Red Sea Day trip
Mosa our guide was punctual and entertaining throughout the two hour ride. The experience was not what I expected the day trip was boring there isn’t a lot to do. Very quiet. Food was yummy. Guide was doing his best to please us great guide
Wonderful tour to Saqqara
We had an amazing tour to Saqqara, Dashour and Memphis with our driver Ahmed who made sure that we had a lovely and pleasant tour!! Everything went smoothly and we recommend the tour!
Pyramid Tour
I was doing my research about Cairo and was told about Mr. Mohamed Hamed so I booked a tour with Emo Tours Egypt just to get him. He was an excellent tour guide. We booked the tour of the pyramids and he also helped me get a special custom chain I was looking for. He is very helpful and informative about Egyptian culture. He also helped us with other vendors so we did not get scam. If you have the choice, please ask for him!
Brilliant tours. Poor airport collection.
We booked tours on three consecutive days and had a fantastic experience. Had the same brilliant guide on all trips. Cars were OK and tours were enjoyable and informative. Communication with Company was totally satisfactory. Also booked airport transfers. Really disappointed in airport collection as guy was waiting for us with no name board to identify himself. With the help of an Egyptian and some phone calls finally met up. Would have been 5 stars otherwise
Mohamed Hamed organization
Mohamed Hamed organization, intelligence, and sense of adventure made him the best guide hands down out of the 5 I booked. Very good and honest man who made my first time in Egypt feel like my 30th time. I hope you get him as your guide and if you do, your in for a treat.
Pyramids of Giza and Luxor
We booked to see the pyramids with Emo and had such a great experience we booked them for a trip to Luxor, as well. Our guides were incredible: knowledgeable, friendly and great at snapping some pictures of us on our iPhones.
DANGEROUS & ILLEGAL OPERATION - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!We booked a private transfer from Sharm…
We booked a private transfer from Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo with Emo Tours for September 23rd. While the online booking was smooth, the experience itself was a nightmare from the moment we got in the car.
Minutes into our journey, we were pulled over by the police. The officer informed us that it was illegal for our specific tourism car to be transporting passengers in Sharm El Sheikh. As if that wasn't alarming enough, the police also told us our driver had been cited for dangerous driving on his way to pick us up and was due in court.
We immediately called Emo Tours, expecting them to resolve this serious issue. Their proposed "solution" was completely unacceptable and illegal: they wanted to move us to another car to get past the police checkpoint, only to put us back into the original illegal vehicle moments later. We refused to participate in deceiving the police, especially with the high probability of other checkpoints on the long road to Cairo.
After being stranded on the side of the road for two hours with no legitimate help or alternative provided by the company, we were forced to abandon their service and arrange our own taxi to Cairo.
To add insult to injury, getting a refund was another battle. They initially agreed to refund us but then went completely silent. It was only after I initiated a chargeback with my bank that they finally returned our money.
I understand that unexpected issues can arise while traveling in Egypt, but Emo Tours' response was a catastrophic failure at every level. They knowingly operate outside the law, put customers in unsafe situations, suggest illegal solutions, and are unreliable with refunds. Do not risk your safety or your money with this company.

Just booked our Alexandria tour with Emo Tours Egypt - professional licensed operator with private car and Egyptologist guide. Great communication and customer service so far. Looking forward to exploring Alexandria's historic sites! Will update after our tour.
Highly recommend for anyone visiting Alexandria.
Day trip Giza Pyramids, Dahsur, Saqqara Memphis
We booked 3 months ago, payed on advance,a day trip Pyramids, Saqqara, Dahsur, and Mephis. On the day ,week ago now, they nevershowed up. Only with the help of front desk reception hotel, we could be helped. A driver, no guide, picked us up at 11 am, totaly unprepared not english speaking, took us an the day trip. We had to pay 2n time the entry tickets. Too late for mephis visit. Don’t trust this company,
Worst experience - tried to scam us
We bought at Emo Tours web site the Day Tour Giza Pyramids Memphis Dashur and Saqqara Pyramids with a private car and guide for 4 persons for USD 72, and also bought the add-ons (optionals) for tickets for Keops Pyramid and Serapeum for an additional USD 162 in order to ensure we will get access to this highly demanded attractions., and considering to buy the riches for the rest of the attractions locally at arrival to the sites.
They showed up at the agreed hour in our hotel but with a car for only 2 people (+driver +guide) and with no tickets!!! For about 140 minutes we were discussing with EMO TOURS that we contracted and paid the tour for 4 people + the specified tickets… they sent a minivan 2 hours later but during all this time they denied we bought tickets, even though we shared the receipts, vouchers and payment information … arguing the most incredible excuses, so they wanted us to buy again the tickets we previously (3 months before) bought from them. Finally they agreed to pay for them but they didn’t send the tickets or the money until 4 hours later.
This was the worst experience we have had with a tour agency, and they seemed to try to scam us at every moment.
Bottom line. We lost about 2.5 hours of the tour, missed Dashur and Memphis and were in a hurry the rest of the day to try to complete the rest of the attractions.
Don’t recommend EMO TOURS at all.
Fantastic Service
For a reliable service in a sea of unreliable I would 100% recommend Emo tours. They were fantastic and also got us a transfer back to Hurghada which was so helpful. Our guide was so knowledgeable on the history and we had a great time too.

Short Answer: STAY AWAY

We (2 people) visited egypt for 5 days, and booked all our tours (4 tours) with these guys before travel. All our tours were private and with a guide. Let me start with experience on each tour in the order they happened
> Cairo Half day tours to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx
+ Nice tour guide, helpful and friendly
+ Decent car quality, smooth pickup
+ Tour guide explained the history patiently.
- Tour guide took us to over expensive shops for local shopping, eg perfumes, and, that seemed more like a collaborative mafia, than the genuine local recommendation
- Tour guide had the intent to wrap everything asap, wrapping half day tour in 3 hours.
> Cairo Tour to Egyptian Museum Citadel and Old Cairo
+ Knowledge tour guide, knew a lot of Egyptian museum history
- Language barrier, tour guide was english speaking for namesake, resorted to arabic throughout the conversation (we booked english speaking tour)
- Tour guide was very pushy in moving fast, and wrapped the full day tour in 4 hours.
- Adamant guide, won't repeat what he said, and accent was also not easily pickable.
> Best Luxor Day Tour visit East and West Nile Banks
- Please don't book this tour, guide is for name sake, won't go inside on most temples with you, will introduce sites from outside in 2 mins, and then ask you to visit on your own.
- Since there is very less communication with guide throughout, tour naturally ends very shortly (4 hours in our case)
- Guide tried to hand over tickets to us, and say its better to visit late in the night, to end the tour even early
> Cairo dinner Cruise with Belly dancer show
- This was a mental pain, tour was supposed to start at 5PM, but no one came for pick till 6:15PM, very poor communication from the organizers, for eg, asked driver to pick up at later time, sent the driver to wrong hotel.
- Driver are native arabic speakers, so if you don't speak arabic, be ready for a hard time following up with driver (know that the organizers are not proactive in responses)
- This tour comes with a representative, who would meet you at the ship docking station for 2 mins, and thats all. Completely useless, don't expect any guide/support on this.
- I think its more like buying a ticket to the boat, rather than a tour.
Overall, i had a nightmare of a experience with this tour operator. While talking about this experience with my hotel receptionist, i was told its a very common pattern for emotours, many travellers book with them based on their ratings, but struggles with them after landing in egypt.
Well worthwhile - a brilliant experience
This morning we took a half day private tour to Memphis, Sakkara and Dahshur pyramids. Menna, our guide, arrived exactly on time and was most informative and interesting. We got to the Dahshur pyramids ahead of most visitors and were able to experience the inside by ourselves, which was special. The pyramids themselves are much less visited than the more famous Giza pyramids and so are more atmospheric and less crowded. Menna gave us enough time to appreciate the setting. We then travelled to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt and which is now an open air museum. There is a giant statue of Rameses II which is breathtaking. Again Menna pointed out important details of the statue. Our last stop was Saqqara, which has a complex of tombs and pyramids, including Djoser’s Step Pyramid. Menna was excellent throughout the tour and our driver navigated the traffic really calmly. Highly recommended!
WORST TOUR COMPANY IN EGYPT
Unreliable, disorganised, unprofessional, untrustworthy & have the worst tour guides in Cairo with little knowledge who will lie and try to scam you, sleep during the guided tours because they had been out until 2am (their own words not mine) and conduct long personal calls whilst they’re meant to be on tour! Also, I almost missed my flight to the airport as their driver was half an hour late for pick up!
My solo female holiday was marred by constant arguments with them as they tried to change my itinerary (which I had already paid for!) by removing already paid for tour guides and sent me a sedan though I had paid for an SUV. Everyday was characterised with an argument and fights to the point that I lost my voice as none of the staff had my itinerary.
Some of the staff who told me lies are Mohammed Torky (manager) and Aladdin; these individuals lack communication, failed to read and share my itinerary and argued with me (Aladdin ) throughout my trip. Aladdin, who presented himself as my personal holiday rep for any issues I had, blocked me when I exposed his lies.
Mohammed Torky had also lied that a day before each tour, he would text me the guide and driver name. Surprise, surprise, this didn’t transpire and I had to call this agency every single day to enquire about this.
Cairo
1)Mohammed Torkey lied to me before leaving London, he would organise a special fast track service for me at the airport so I do not wait. Of course this didn’t happen and I waited at the airport for 2hrs as their driver was late to pick me up. He kept lying the driver was at the airport but he clearly wasn’t.
2)I was verbally attacked by their female tour guide Entesar, who tried to scam me. She gave me little history of Giza and Memphis, left me unattended in Memphis, and also told an elaborate and sophisticated lie that I was unable to visit the sphinx despite me paying for tickets. She falsely claimed the area was designated for special government officials or people who had had special permission and clearance from the government! Entesar, who didn’t have my itinerary, then further lied about taking me to a “special museum” to learn about Egyptian history. Entesar then took me to a bazaar to buy perfume and when I refused as I recognised the scam, she verbally attacked me in public almost getting physical to the point the driver and others had to separate us. This resulted in my tour ending unfinished as I was too shaken and in tears to continue. She then told further lies to the company that we had run out of time (yet she had enough time to take me to a bazaar?) and told members of the public who witnessed the altercation, that I wanted to pay the cheaper Egyptian price! If money was an issue, why on earth was I doing a private solo tour!!!
3) I was later given a tour guide Mahmoud for rest of two days in Cairo. Mahmoud was so late for the tour by an hour plus we had so pick him up at his house. He later spent the day sleeping during the guided tour as he claimed he had been out until 2am that morning. He also spent a copious amount of time on the phone the next day speaking with his friend as he claimed the friend had lost an uncle therefore it upset him (Mahmoud). Truly the pits of unprofessionalism. When I asked him not to take any further personal calls on the phone during my private solo tour as it was very unprofessional, he became sulky and it dampened the atmosphere.
Aswan
4) Rampant disorganisation was endemic in this company as generally throughout the tour, different people with different numbers would contact me on WhatsApp asking for my hotel, address, etc. This is despite the fact that my itinerary had been shared with Mohamed Torkey with all this information. The company also failed to communicate with the tour guide my tours were for a full day so at the Nubian village, he wanted us to leave after 2hours. I had to then make another call to the company, arguing, again, and asking them to read my itinerary.
5)Company failed to pick me up from hotel. Aladdin called me at about 10pm the night before my tour trying to change my itinerary by removing a guided tour of Kombo Ombo and Edfu, which I had paid for. A heated argument ensured which ended with Aladdin blocking me completely. As my personal holiday rep, he had failed to read my itinerary and tried to bully me into changing my already paid for itinerary.
6)I was sent a wrong car for my 3hour trip to Luxor. This resulted in me wasting 3hours in Aswan while they sorted out their mistakes again. As a result, I undertook very, very rushed tours of Kombo Ombo and Edfu temples.
Luxor and Hurghada
Failed to communicate my tour guide had arrived. Almost missed my flight as driver was half an hour late for pickup to airport.
Worst tour company in Egypt. Use them at your risk!

Our guy Ahmed was very knowledgeable and pleasant. We got useful information on everything we visited and understood their history and significance. The pace was good and he knew all the perfect spots to take wonderful pictures. We highly recommend Ahmed and this tour!
