I had been lurking in the Empowr CIC WhatsApp group for a while. I'd recommend the reasonably priced, well-structured courses. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable; the attendees are friendly too. There are plenty of events and meet ups. The Empowr social media and marketing champions diversity which is important as I'm a mature rollerskater at Beginner Foundation level.
The booking system is straightforward so I booked a 4 week course in April and May 2026. I'm pleased with the progress I'm making. It's worth the journey from NW10.

The classes and the team are lovely and the sessions are very affordable (which I’ve personally been incredibly grateful for). I initially went in not feeling very confident about a lot of moves but have been able to include several new skills to my archive!!

The owner Jasmine (who is really friendly), creates a safe and comfortable space to fail forwards, so you don’t feel embarrassed if you make mistakes, and it means the vibe of the classes are always super chill.

Very positive. My daughters skating has improved significantly. Now she is trying skating at the park. Where she didn't have the confidence to do this before

These classes are BRILLIANT! Instructors are knowledgeable, patient and approachable which made for a comfortable, unpressured learning environment. On top of this they are extremely attentive whilst providing instruction and especially when you fall.

There were many returning students, which speaks for itself.

Highly recommend for all ages.

This welcoming group offers an inclusive experience, with patient leaders guiding us through each step of outdoor skating.

The teaching is fantastic , the staff are so patient and welcoming , but most of all my girls always have fun and always look forward to coming back every week.

My son has participated in several holiday events and requests to go back each time. Hes made his own network of friends learned new skills and built in confidence.

Wonderful community driven organisation! We were recommended to give the kids skate session a go through another skating community, i am very happy I gave Empowr a chance. My child loves the sessions, has improved confidence week on week and feels like part of the community. I especially like the safety measures in place- ensuring the kids understand the meed for safety is so important in London for those who desire to skate outdoors.

I love the space Empowr have created. I go to the Jam skate on a Thursday and it never fails to boost my week. You can do as much or as little as you like and is such a great way to keep active take your mind off the stresses of life. I’m always really annoyed if I ever have to miss it.

Empowr are brilliant! I attended the 4 week prep to street skate programme and really enjoyed it, learnt so much. Jasmine and Cliff are so patient with everyone and there's so much passion and care in their approach. They created a safe and inclusive environment, and the good vibes were contagious! Privileged to be a part of this skate fam going fwd. Thank you so much guys!
