DO NOT BUY A VAN FROM THIS DECEPTIVE FIRM - I’m taking them to court for a poorly repaired and MOT’d van as they’re ignoring any correspondence from me replying with “I purchased spares / repairs” though the advert which I screenshot says otherwise.

Shouldn’t have passed an MOT, front brakes were absolutely shot to pieces & warped discs. Shockingly repaired too.
Deceptive & negligent do not buy from this outfit.

Bought a Mini Cooper s from here . On buying the car it was immaculate and the service we received was great . However on driving the car home it broke down . So why am I giving five stars for a car that broke down . East Midland Vans made it right with the best after service.we lived forty mile from the garage . The manager Daud sent a recovery truck to collect the car immediately. The car was repaired, with genuine mini parts not some tatt of eBay . To get the car back to us they drove it back to us and dropped it back to our door . So it’s five stars all the way because let’s be honest , how rare is it to get service as good as this these days and the mini drives like a dream .

I purchased a car from this garage believing it to be trustworthy as it was supposed to be AA approved.
This would appear to stand for nothing and I learnt the hard way!
The car i purchased was not of the quality I was led to believe and within 1 week the faults started to appear.

1) i was told the car had had 2 previous keepers and I would be the 3rd, when the new log book arrived the car had had 3 keepers and I was actually the 4th, this would devalue the car in my opinion and I would not of brought it had I known.

2) the car was supposed to of had a service prior to my purchase and I thought i was getting a car with 12 months before it would need to be serviced again, the car had actually been serviced when EMV got the car, it sat on their forecourt for over 6 months which meant for me to maintain its service record and not void the warranty i purchased as an extra I would need to spend over £300 to service it within 5 months not 12!

3) the tyres on this car were worn to just above the legal limit which i was aware off and believed I had maybe a couple of thousand miles left in them, when I had them changed within 2 weeks of owning the car the tyre shop told me it was a good job I changed the the tyres when I did as two of the tyres actually had splits in the side walls and were very dangerous. I would of expected this to of been picked up on from a supposed "AA aproved garage" inspecton.

4) the brakes on this car, the pads had been changed but the discs were not! The poor condition of the discs was only discovered when the wheels were removed to change the tyres. The discs had huge lips with parts of corroded disc breaking away. This again I would of expected to of been picked up on from a supposed "AA approved" garage.

5) the bodywork. When I viewed the car it was freshly valeted and was very shinny, until the car was washed revealing the car had clearly been in some sort of accident and had significant bodywork done to repair it, unfortunately for me it had not been done to a very high standard and this was clearly visible once the Polish had been washed away. When I challenged the garage about this I was told I inspected the car before I brought it and it could of happened since I owned it, actually accusing me of having such a poor job done myself.

The reason I went to this garage was because it was AA approved, I would strongly advise not to make the same mistakes as I did and have your own independent inspection done.

I tried to contact the garage and was fobbed off with the so called "manager" being unavailable to discuss my issues and nobody else at the garage could deal with the problems. When I finally got to speak with the "manager" it was now after the 30 day returns of consumer rights and the "manager" completely dismissive of any of the above issues leaving no other option than take the garage to court and spending thousands of pounds on solicitors.

When spending £17000 on a car i expected a far more professional experiance and to be able to enjoy my new car, instead I am left completely dissatisfied waiting for the next thing to go wrong
